“Well worth a visit”
Reviewed 9 June 2014

When in KL check out what's on at this beautiful concert hall. It's worth a visit just to see the architecture, and there are often international conductors or presentations. My wife and I saw a great concert featuring music from PIXAR animated movies recently.

Others have commented on the dress code - here it is. " Dress Code: Strictly NO Jeans, denim, shorts, collarless T-shirts/singlets, sneakers and slippers at any time." Actually last time I noticed quite a few guys in jeans. Just be careful about the shirts & singlets!

My favourite Sunday afternoon in KL is lunch at the excellent Albion restaurant (not far away) and a matinee concert at KLCC.

“Beautiful is somewhat small”
Reviewed 7 June 2014

The concert hall is beautiful and as one would expect the music is awesome for an orchestra of it's stature. A few complaints I have is that it would have been great to be able to have taken some photos before or after the concert of the beautiful architecture.
My other (albeit small) issue is with the dress code; we dressed up for the concert, however most people were in smart-casual or even casual clothes. We would have preferred to dress this way had we been made aware that it was acceptable.
So in short, if you buy a ticket, dress smart-casual, no need to go all out.

“Nice start of a holiday”

We attend a family friendly show. There is a strict dress code, don't forget about reading about it. Can be a perfect day after the Petrona towers or shopping around!

“classy auditorium”
Reviewed 5 June 2014

It's a 5 star auditorium. You got to be well-dressed to enter
and strict checking of your dressing code. Occasionally they
change programs that meets international standards.
Worth seeing at least once in a life time.

“Excellent”
Reviewed 4 June 2014

On a recent business trip to KL treated myself to a ticket to a Bruckner concert. Wonderful!
We used to live in KL and attending concerts at the Dewan Philharmonic was a benefit of living in KL. It is intimate and the acoustics are good. There is a strict dress code. No shirts, jeans or short sleeves for men. If you are in KL for a vacation or business trip and like classical music. Do invest in a ticket. You will not be disappointed. Concerts are on a Saturday evening or Sunday afternoon.
