The hotel is overpriced. We paid for the same rate at the island but all we got is a very standard room. It is not worth it. We paid for a room with extra child. The extra bed didn't have bed linen that i have to ask twice and wait for more than 20 minutes. The wifi connection in the room is worst or none at all. You have to go down the lobby to have access on the internet. The shower has a heater but it will burn your skin. So i just rely on the cold shower. The breakfast is just a 3 half slice of bread, 7 pieces of beans, egg and 1 hot dog. Overall i'm not impressed in this hotel, price too expensive for that standard accommodation.

The hotel is situated a few minutes from the ferry station. You don't need to pay the 10 U$D to get picked up at the airport. It is really simple: when you exit the airport, you'll find the ferry station. You pay either 10 rufias or 1 U$D. It's a 10/15 minutes trip and then you can walk to the hotel. You will find a yellow sign in the street.
We were welcomed with a fresh juice. The room was simple but clean. Wifi worked well.
The staff is really nice and helpful. They helped us in many aspects, lending us the telephone, and their computer.
I definitely recomend the hotel if you need to spend one night before going to your resort.

The hotel pics are not at all what this place was like. It was rather dirty (cockroaches in room) and seriously overpriced. They could have included breakfast too but that was extra and not good at all. Be aware that you have to pay in US$ even though when booking it says you can pay in local currency. I thought the reception staff were a little rude too but the gents who take your bags to your room were lovely, friendly and helpful.

Spent 5 days here with my family and we had a good time. This is not a 5 star hotel, but it has a perfect quality/price ration. Even though the room is not that large, it is clean and comfortable. You can overcame this if you consider the attitude of the staff, very helpful and attentive, especially the manager Mr. Abdul Salam which is always reachable and helpful. You have a market nearby, a beach and it’s not that fair from airport as well. As well we liked the food, which is affordable and always fresh. A good hotel to stay with your family.

We stayed here one night when we arrived and came back the last night before our flight.

We checked out 3 other hotels/rooms the same price range but they were not that good like Lucky Hiya Hotel. Do not get me wrong, Lucky Hiya is only good for sleeping there before you continue travellling, it is absolutely no option to stay there for your vacation. Do not stay in Male, if you do not have a lot of money take the ferry to Maafushi or Fulidhoo.

Location: Perfect. You can walk to the ferry to the airport and if you want to travel to Maafushi, Velengeli or Fulidho you can take a cap for 30 MVR (1,5 Euro) to the other ferry. Very cheap supermarkets are there as well.

Room: It was clean and big. We had a seperate living room and sleeping room. There was a TV and a couch. Bathroom was alright. (If possible get room number 801 or 901) The bed was really good.

Restaurant: We were really suprised how good the fishcurry tasted. Also the fried rice/noodles were really yammy. Do nor take any other things like the spaghetti bolognaise, it was not good at all.

Staff: The guys are from Bangladesh and are trying everything to help you and make everything perfect. We tipped them always good. One girl from the reception(the younger one with the quiet voice) is great. She is friendly and very helpful. The older one is not helpful and also not very nice. Sometimes we waited till the young one was back at the reception.

All in all you will not find a better option for 70$ for a double room in Male.

The rooms are very small. The price is more. But the staff are all very good and helpful . Manager Abdul Salam is reachable and helpful. Mr Ali, Susan are very helpful. Location is very good. Agora super market is very near. All Male attractions are walk by. Airport ferry is just nearby.

Room Tip: Select corner rooms , Chances of getting some room in the room is possible

6 of us travelling together stayed in 3 rooms for one night.

I have read so many negative comments about this hotel but... it's the cheapest I can find in Male city.

The ferry ride from the airport to Male city is only 10 MVR, or 1 dollar if you pay in USD. Tip: When at the airport, get some local currency (MVR) at the ATM or money changer, it's always cheaper to pay in MVR. 1 USD roughly equals 15 MVR.

No surprise. It's really is that bad. Hidden in an alley with only a small sign on the main road. I am good in reading maps but I am sure it would not be easy to locate this hotel if I am on my own. It does not help when I am arriving night, and it was raining.

We got a "taxi" at the jetty to take us to the hotel. It's actually a small pick-up truck and we were on the back of the truck. Takes us 3 minutes to reach the hotel from the jetty. Paid USD 3 for six of us.

Note: No hair-dryer is available in the hotel.

Only one plus point: the staff speaks good English and is friendly.

Room Tip: Corner rooms are much larger, complete with a small living area. Prices are the same.
