Our expectations were exceeded! We had a superb holiday & would definitely recommend this place.
The food was superb in all restaurants. I loved that we could dine in all the a la carte restaurants Within the remit of the ai. If you don't want the set menu which is included you can use the $40 credit & choose from the a la carte menu. We never did as the set menu was so good. We were also surprised to be able to choose from 5 red, 5 white wines or prosecco! We loved the italian & South African!
There was a couple of negative I'm afraid to say. There is no shade on the deck of the Watervilla so too hot to sunbathe. We had to use the sun beds on the beach everyday which was a shame. There was never a problem with sunbeds but that may have been due to the large number is Asian people residing at the hotel who didn't sunbathe. If there were more europeans, I think there would be a problem.
The other issue is, there's a fly problem in both bars in the afternoons. I have to stress there was no problem in any of the restaurants where the hygiene was impeccable! They really need to address the fly issue though as it was disgusting & I'm sure they must have received complaints about this.
To sum up, had a fantastic holiday & would go back in a minute!!

Room Tip: Watervillas are fab but no shade to sunbathe. The beach villas are terraced & not so private.

My wife and I had our great honeymoon & 1st Anniversary in the resort. The environment and facilities are so nice. We stayed for 5 nights with All-Inclusive package.

As we took a night flight and arrived there about 11 p.m., but the resort staff on airport was so nice and did not think we were late and annoying. Then we took about 15 minutes to get the resort. Then the warm welcome made us felt great and I loved the welcoming drink (Iced Tea).

The room was clean and tidy. We had a nice sleep. In the coming days, we went fish feeding, snorkeling, suba diving, open water snorkeling and seeing dolphins! Very exciting!

Besides, we got nice sun tanning, nice food and nice service. We had private dinner on 25 Nov 2013. Very nice.

Hopefully you may have a great time as mine in Centara Ras Fushi Resort & Spa. Enjoy~ =]

Room Tip: Choose the North Wing if picking Deluxe Water Villa to have better sea view

Stayed at the centara ras fushi on the 24th September for our honeymoon. It was our first time in the Maldives and we were not disappointed. You get a speed boat transfer from the airport which is fab, as we were being taken to the resort, the guys stopped to show us the porpoises and dolphins which were following the boat, and that was before we even got there!!! The resort itself is lovely, though it is small, if you like a holiday where you really do just "chillax" then this is the resort for you. There is water sports, snorkeling and diving trips available, but that really is that, unfortunately for us, there was an election in Male and was deemed too dangerous for tourists to go, so we literally were on the island for the whole two weeks, but after planning our wedding for the last 18 months it was very relaxing. We have been to a lot of various AI holidays, and the vibe is so relaxing it's heaven. As said before, there is not much to do if you don't dive, so if you are the type of person who likes to be "doing things" this is probably not the resort for you. The staff are extremely friendly and a big thank you to Sanjay in the Vui bar who was a really nice guy. The staff in oceans are all really friendly also, and we did not find that we had to tip all the time, and they were still the same if you did not, obviously when you do tip, you are looked after very well! When we mentioned that we were on our honeymoon, the manager of the vui bar went out of his way to organise a very romantic table that was set up in the pool with champagne and canopies, very special and Alexander (the manager of oceans) also set up a table for us with flowers etc in the arabian restaurant, made it for us, so thank you. As said, we stayed there for the whole 2 weeks, and for us, we found the food good, there are 3 other restaurants, thai, Italian, arabian but you do have to book them and they are always busy, the portions are quite small though, but you could always go to the oceans buffet if you were still hungry so there was no problem. There is a spa, which is absolutely worth going to, it is a bit expensive, but we went to Mauritius a few years ago and the price is about the same, I think it is just expensive in that part of the world. The only gripe I have is there is a mini bar in your room, you do get free coffee, tea and water but that is it. Everything else you get charged for, and after spending a small fortune to get there, they should at least give you free soft drinks in your room. The rooms are lovely and kept very clean, the only weird thing is the toilet is in the open, no privacy and as it faces the door, it was a bit delicate sometimes if the cleaner or mini bar guys arrived!! Ok for us as we have been together a long time, but I would not like to be a "new" couple in that situation! Another big thank you to our cleaner Anwar, we were out to dinner one night and came back to an amazing floral display on our bed, truly wonderful. I would have to say that all the staff are excellent and have a lot of time for their guests. All in all, we had an amazing stay, beautiful warm water, very peaceful, we were lucky as there were no flies at all, i think the end of September is a really good time to go, no flies, no rain, just peace!

Room Tip: We stayed in the bungalow 128, it is not the most expensive, but upgraded to this bungalow as it had...

My wife and I just visited this resort from 28th November till 1st December 2013, and we had a great time there. Let us share our experiences with you all on both the great things and area of improvement.

1) The location - 20 minutes by speedboat from the airport. Great and just nice for a boat ride. We were not sure about the sea plane experience but knowing such steep price on those "air taxis" to other resorts, we were glad we found Centara Ras Fushi ("CRF"). Maybe due to the first sight is the staff dormitory that doesn't show a grand entrance but that doesn't really matter because we do not pay so much just for a grand entrance.

2) Water villas - No complaints at all. Spacious enough with all necessary facilities: fridge, lcd tv, dvd player, and most importantly the bathroom & shower. We have a fantastic sea view while we brush our teeth, how nice was that. We are just steps away from the ocean. We stayed in Villa No.352 and the WiFi signal is still strong. Not to mention the view in the morning, sunset and at night. All are gorgeous. To some people the distance from the villa to the restaurants considered far but to us, we are fine. It really depends on each guest. Some people say walking 500 metres are near while some people say walking 20 steps are far. Is not CRF problem, is just the guest.

3) Food - We took a half-board package and the food we had in the Oceans restaurant and Thai restaurant is good. For Oceans restaurant, different night will have different theme, which is good. Good job for the two chefs at the pasta counter and grill counter. For Suan Bua, the Thai food is great. The portion is big too.

4) Facilities - Snorkelling gears are free for guests to get it from the Diving Center. Fitness Center with new gym equipments. The E-Zone might need some improvements on the varieties of PS3 games and more DVD collections. No worries, guests at CRF were supposed to be more outdoor than spending time on such stuff. The ocean definitely the place where guests should hang out more often, why stuck in front of the TV.

5) Staff service - A big round of applause to all of you. Great job done. We might not remember all your names but here are a few special mentions: Kim, Yi, Nathiya, Mamun, Hussanti, Alex and Mam. My wife is still nursing and requires a freezer to store her breast milk; we apologize for giving such trouble to the CRF staffs. There might be a slight miscommunication earlier but you all manage to put it through for us. Thank you so much.

6) Kindly do not discount CRF for anything as most of the issues were depends on each individual guest needs and requirements. If the particular guest does not fancy Indian food, that doesn't mean the restaurant food is bad, OR for some reason they are noisy guests that speaks too loud, we can't expect to get CRF to ask those guests to leave the resort.

Overall, CRF really makes our maiden trip to Maldives a great one. CRF really gives us a very good Asian hospitality that is warm, relax and home feeling. Again, we are not hotel auditors or a resort specialist that come and checks what is wrong with CRF and point out all the negative side of the resort. We are just guests that looking forward for a great time there. And CRF really makes it more than we expected. Big thank you from us to the entire CRF team.

Room Tip: Rooms are subject to availability and depends on each guest preference. We didn't calculate whic...

We have travelled as a couple with another couple of friends. We've booked the ocean front beach villas and AI. The villas are not extremely big, but they are ideally located (ca 50 m from waterfront, on a palm beach with perfectly white sand ...). There are only a few (not extremely important) things which weren't appropriate, i.e. the lack of espresso coffee at the restaurant (what for an european may be extremely unpleasant), the (relatively) sweet bread, which does not belong to our food culture and - may we be excused to say this - the tourists from the Far East, especially Japan and Korea, which we found not particularly friendly. A good point is that the resort is adult-oriented, so that one can find everywhere on the island an absolutely quiet spot.
The restaurants offer a wide choice of food; the pizzas in the italian restaurant could be "upgraded", hence there is a big difference between them and what one in Europe finds. On the other hand - one should congratulate the cook for the osso bucco alla milanese!
The bars offer a quite wide choice of drinks: cocktails, spirits and soft drinks. For a beer drinker ist definitely no paradise there, hence they offer a beer from Ceylon, probably a little too bitter for our taste. One must notice the good choice of wines - even the 4-5 wines in the AI menu are from the "upper middle class".
The fitness room: small, but with new and performant equipment, enough even for the enthusiasts.
The spa deserves five stars. No other comment.
The sand sacks that other guests describe are to be seen, but we've found them not bothersome. It is a small island and one must also fight with the permanent erosion. On the other hand, there are daily workers on the beaches who care to maintain it perfectly clean.
Another "minus": the resort presents itself as environmental friendly. There are overall in the rooms tags which recommend you to be aware of the sweet-water situation on the island and to choose when you want your towels to be changed. Anyway they do it on a daily basis ?!
Last but not least, we have to mention the friendliness of the personnel, every single one included, with special thanks to Mr. Mihai, the assistant general manager.
And, the highlight of the pool-bar, Mr. Lovely, extremely friendly and always prepared to help.
Definitely a resort to recommend.

Room Tip: The beach front villas are extremely well placed. One can enjoy a wonderful sunset.

I went here with my girlfriend and this was our first time to Maldive. We stayed at for 4 nights/5 days and requested for the sunset facing water villa with no extra cost.

The island is quite small compared to other resorts, however to me this was the perfect size. Everything was within reach by approximately 5 minutes walk. I did see some people who lived further out who requested transportation by their buggies. If you see a buggy passing by and weren't full, you could always just hop on! One thing to note is that this island is very close to Male City Island and the rubbish island. Near the lobby of the resort you could actually see the smokes from the rubbish island. However, this is not visible from the water villa side.

The staffs were exceptionally friendly! This came as a pleasant surprise.. Good service is one thing.. but the staff here actually made it feel like they are your friends as oppose to someone just merely serving you with good service.
It was great to chat with all the different staffs and overall I believe they had truly out done themselves!! Now I cannot look at other customer services the same!!

The sky was very clear when we went with stars filling up the whole sky every single night. This was in part due to the monsoon that had just passed by the week before. However, the downside to this was alot of flies on the resort after the passing of the monsoon. Some days were worst than others. It was worst when we just arrived, but the situation gotten alot better after the second day of our stay. During the evenings you could see them using fog machines to try to control the flies problem. Staffs were more than helpful in ridding flies in your room if you happen to accidentally let them in (during the first day we didnt know of the flies problem and left our sliding door open..)

Similarly we were told since the monsoon just passed, the water was very calm and was perfect for snorkeling. All snorkeling gears were free of charge and may be borrowed from the diving centre. Snorkeling was beautiful! We could just walk out to our sundeck and jump right into the water!! It was best over the sunrise side of the water villas where there was an underwater cliff (approximately 2-3 minutes swim away). We saw large varieties of fishes, including many kinds of puffer fishes and clown fishes. We also managed to see sting rays and baby sharks!

There were four restaurants, where one is a buffet and the other three required booking (so make sure this is the first thing you do once you checked in!)

Ocean Restaurant: Nothing exceptional, but the food was quite good. You will be having breakfast here everyday so no need to come back for lunch and dinner

Suan Bua: Thai Restaurant which serves lunch and dinner with set menus covered under all inclusive. While the food was quite good, however the dinner portion was way too small. Me and my girlfriend had to stuff ourselves with lots and lots of rice. Many other tables commented on this as well. The day after we had lunch here and you could see the portion had improved alot. Maybe they listened to the customers and increased the portions?

La Brezza: Italian Restaurant which serves lunch and dinner with set menus covered under all inclusive. Lunch has a large varieties of pasta and pizza to choose from. This place had one of the best pizzas I had ever have, and the pastas were quite good! The dinner selections were the same as lunch with the addition of the choice of 3 different dishes. I had the lamb shank and it was very good! I would prefer La Brezza over the Suan Bua (hence the booking for La Brezza are always full while sometimes you can do walk-in for Suan Bua)

Arabian Restaurant.. I forgot the name.. however this came as a surprise to us being the BEST restaurant on the island. They only serve dinner. At first we were quite skeptical about arabian food.. however this is westernized arabian food and the chicken was the most tender we had ever had. The atmosphere was also the best, where you eat in a tent surrounded by trees. It was a very unique experience!

There were 3 bars on the island, with live bands playing at Viu Bar every other day. The menu clearly marks which drinks were under "all-inclusive", including wine, cocktails, mocktails and beer. The staff were very helpful and refills your drinks before you even ask! You can just lay on the hammocks in Viu Bar and they would come over and ask you if you want another drink!

We also did the spa during our last day of stay. Although the environment was very beautiful and the massage was great.. however the price tag of $115 USD per person was quite steep (+18% tax..)

On the last day we checked out at noon.. however our flight wasn't until 11pm.. hence we stayed at the resort until 8pm and went to have dinner at the airport (which accepts USD so no worries)
After you checked out you can't have any more drinks under all inclusive and must be bought per glass. Water, soft drinks and afternoon snacks at Viu Bar were still free of charge. There was one shower next to the pool so even if you decide to get wet after checking out.. you could still shower here.

In conclusion, Centara Ras Fushi is a beautiful small island with everything in reach by just a few minutes of walk! The staffs were exceptionally friendly and the food was magnificent! Snorkeling is beautiful overall and if we get the chance we would definitely come back again!

On a side note, we did experience some problems during our stay at Centara:
1) There was a group of approximately 8 fellow Hong Kong teens at the resort who were very obnoxious and very loud. We could hear them screaming even within our water villa. We really wished the staff could advised them to tune it down.
2) During snorkeling, we saw some other visitors stepping on the corals. We really wished that there were more educations to the visitors (maybe during check in) about the delicacy of the corals.
