This restaurant looks quite welcoming from the small side street, but inside it opens up into an even more welcoming, beautifully decorated homely restaurant. It was quite quiet when we arrived but when we left it was buzzing with locals and hardly any tourists. This fact alone should tell you how well regarded this place is.
The service was very friendly and the choice on the menus was varied although we stuck to Indian-style dishes, which is supposedly the restaurant speciality. We were not disappointed as the food was very tasty, with large portions (my wife only ate half of hers and they were worried she hadn't liked it; but completely the opposite!).
For a large bottle of water, two "mojitos", two main dishes and a coffee, we paid just over $20 including tax and service. Great value for such good food and good atmosphere. Would definitely recommend to anyone staying in Male.
