We visited this cafe for dinner as a family group as it was near La Residence where we were staying. We visited later in the week for lunch. We were made very welcome, the food was excellent (especially the Blackened fish and the curries) and it's position across the road from the beach was great. The prices were reasonable compared to elsewhere. We would recommend a meal here and we hope to return some time.

We enjoyed a very pleasant dinner while watching the sun fade into the ocean across the bay. The prices were as decent as the view. It isoutdoor seating and you are on an island, so it might be humid and there might be insects. They offer free-wifi, but you will have to ask for the code.

I highly recommend the Blackend Fish, the local rum, and finishing with the strong coffee.

We have eaten here several times and never had a bad meal. In fact, I would say that the food is excellent. Just had catch of the day - grilled fish with rice and salad - lovely. The fish was perfectly cooked and the salad was tasty (and much more than just a bit of lettuce which so often passes for salad). As soon as we sat down we were given breadfruit chips (?) and then garlic bread - on the house. Wine is reasonably priced and served by carafe. The portions are generous.
I have no idea why people have complained about the service here as we have always found the staff to be charming and helpful.

This ended up being the restaurant we wanted to return to numerous times. Great Jambalaya, great curries and good food for the kids as they can split portions of most of the dishes.

I'd go there again if I were to visit Mahe..

This placed used to be fantastic in the "old" days....
The service is now sporadic.... it could range from Good/Acceptable to down right poor... depending on the staff... and their mood.....

The food again can vary.... to OK, palatable cuisine to.... bland over cooked....*!#**

And it is too pricey...

Great location aside--- this restaurant needs to really up its ante soon....

Oh and It seems to always be closed when you expect it to be open...
