Husband and I went to the Seychelles with our daughter to celebrate our 40ths. We couldn’t have chosen better. Loved the hotel - great pool (looking a bit tired around the edges but no biggie), lovely food, wonderful staff and beautiful beach. Snorkelled at the hotel beach with some of the most amazing fish I’ve ever seen. We went half board and were pleasantly surprised at our bill for lunches and drinks by the end of our stay. We sometimes opted for sandwiches from the little shop on site or grabbed some local curry from the shop on the street. Cocktails are gorgeous. Don’t miss the Thai restaurant as the food is amazing! The bar manager, bar staff and pool staff and the lovely little lady in the shop made the stay even better by seeming genuinely pleased to see us each day. It really felt like a personal service and all staff were great. The daily cleaning staff fab and loved the little guy who came in the evenings for a turn down service and to check if we needed anything. I also loved the Sunday day DJ too - great music with a chilled vibe. Our 10 year old daughter was concerned she may get a bit bored on this trip but she loved it! A few children her own age and endless swimming did the trick. We took a backpack and four ferries across two days in the middle of the holiday to Praslin and La Digue (pre booked one night in another hotel). It was an expensive two days but we loved every minute - world class beaches, wave jumping, Jurassic Park boulders, cycling around La Digue, jungle, huge tortoises! We were sad to leave but need to come back to see the finished renovations they were doing to the terrace bar! Thanks for everything Avani - you made our 40th to remember :)

The pool has no life guard no meter marking no one who can perform CPR on children and adults in an event there is an emergency. Misguided information by pool attendant, inside the pool there is sudden steep from shallow water to deep end. Pics attached. We had an incident during our trip at the pool where my husband and 2 year old were drowning in the pool no one came to help when they screamed for help. In house guest helped. There were similar incidents that have happened in the past but the hotel is not taking this seriously. The GM thinks it's not needed to have a pool life guard during pool operation hours. His concern is cost entailed. He had no response when we challenged him on pool safety, life guard, meter markings, CPR what they will do and what is the contingent plan. Overall pls look after your guest safety and not cost. Train staff to give proper feedback. Create a kids pool, put meter markings, advise guests during check in tour about pool safety and that you do not have a life guard. It is ridiculous which hotel has no life guard at their pool?? GM pls roll up your sleeve and take this matter seriously as the property already had incidents as such in the past.
Mohan, Amit and Harron went out of duty of care to ensure we were well taken care of during our incident, as they knew the trauma we went through

Dear JaneR2643,

Thank you for your recent visit to our hotel.

Whilst we thank you for your feedback which is taken serious at any time, we would like to take this opportunity to clarify some of the information provided.

Before your husband and child entered the pool, you came to approach our Manager on Duty and Security Manager who have shown you the difference between the swimming and non swimming areas of the pool which are marked on the pool deck. Our Management also advised you to attach floaters for the 2 years old and we even offered to get some for you from our Kids Club or Grab and Go Shop. This service was declined mentioning that you had your own in the room, but were not in the mood to get them. A few minutes after the advise was given, you entered the pool in the swimming area. By the time you required help another guest was next to you and helped you to get to the side. Our Pool Boy was standing next to the pool. As he saw the other guest helping you immediately and successfully, there was no requirement to jump in the pool as well.

Seychelles law does not require a life guard for each hotel, however as we are taking guest safety serious, we have hired two life guards to enhance the stay experience of our guests.
Both are on duty at the same time whenever possible with a stronger focus on the ocean with its more dangerous currents. Non-swimmers are always advised to be extra cautious. A kids pool is available at the Kids Club. Pool regulations are displayed around the pool and meter markings are present. First Aid trained team members are among the hotel team and a recertification training with an external organization is taking place end of August. We have now even increased the size of the depth-change marker around the pool.

Once again, we do our utmost to avoid such incidents by following international regulations and do even more than the law requires by having life guards around the pool and beach. We will continue to optimize our guest communication efforts during the stay and will be even more cautions with non-swimmers as we strive to make every stay as comfortable as possible.

Warm regards,
Benjamin

Just a half an hour drive from the Airport, the hotel offer free parking for cars.

Overall the “Staff” is very helpful !!

"Javed" is the Manager at the hotel, he is a boon to this hotel, just does not say no for any, he helped us get food cooked out of the set menu, just reach out to him for any requirements.

If "Mary" is serving food then you will have a very humble and kind experience, she has a good knowledge about “how the said dish is cooked” and delivers a customer experience.

Our Romantic by the beach dinner was an experience.

The beach area at the hotel offers snorkelling experience, you can be stress free and just dive in the sea as "Alex" the lifeguard is always on a watch. Sea life is good a lot of tropical fishes, we got lucky to see an octopus which was later caught by a local fisherman,

The pool area is just perfect for a SunTAN.

The Excursions companies sit right at the lobby area, they are be a bit expensive to book but it easy to book excursions at the hotel. You can write to me if you need to book hotel/package/excursions/car rental, etc. at Seychelles (husainsufail@gmail.com), will connect you to the travel company I booked.

The hotel has a SPA and Gym also. We tried the Cabana SPA experience by the beach, “a must try”.

Feedback :  The in-room, dining menu is very limited, a little more options would just make it perfect.

We stayed for 10 days in this very nice hotel. The beachfront is just great and good for snorkeling activity. You can relax on the beach or at the swimming pool. You can also enjoy the gym facility or tennis court.
Food is convenient with a complete and generous breakfast.
We had a sea view room with a nice balcony which we would recommend.
Welcoming staff that showed a lot of attention during our stay. Our thanks to Steve at the reception and Marie Paul at the breakfast.

Room tip: Sea view rooms on the first floor
