To be pedantic, it is a Pampangan restaurant rather than Filipino but most foreigners would not know the difference because of the of the spread of Pampangan dishes throughout the country.
Waiters are helpful, polite and attentive. The food is beautifully cooked and served and presentation is first class.
We had a guest with us who wanted to try Filipino food but did not eat pork but that was no problem - Chicken Adobo. It was well cooked and delicious with no garlic skin remaining in the bowl which spoils the presentation.
Sugpo sa Alige was also excellent. We chose Sitaw and Kalabasa with coconut milk for our vegetables.
We had planned to have dessert but the helpings were generous and we could not eat any more!
The Green Mango Shake and Bottomless Ice Tea were very good also.
I highly recommend Mangan. Visitors to the Philippines can be sure of an excellent Filipino meal but they will need to ask a waiter for help as the menu is in Filipino.
San Miguel Light and Pilsen are available but no wine.
We will eat at Mangan again soon.
