My husband booked the double room for us via booking.com for Feb 25-27. I arrived late around 1 AM and I had no problem with the check in, got room 802. However, we tried to call and send email the hotel to confirm the room before I arrive but they were not responsive. The room was small but very convenience with a nice bed, big LCD TV with international channels, saving box, ads in the room and bathroom, effective aircond, big mirror that make the room looks bigger, low blow hair dryer (that didn’t work for me), high speed internet a smoke detector with a flashing red light (I had to call the front desk twice and ask someone to check to make sure that the red flashing was not a problem). The bathroom had a high shower, but the water heater didn't work on the second day which they attributed to ongoing pipe maintenance. Furthermore, there is a 7/11 downstairs which is open 24/7. I can't talk about the restaurant in the hotel because I didn't eat there but they gave me a 20% off voucher for breakfast. As for location of the hotel, it is very strategic in the red district with a 5-10 minute walk to Robinson Place mall, 20 mins to rizal park, 30 mins to intramarous, 45mins walking to the fort santiago. The hotel is surrounded by japanese/korean restaurant. Overall, you get much more than what you pay for with this hotel.

The hotel is cheap with a super efficient check in. Th room is spotless and everything works. Handy 7/11 downstairs and an Irish pub without needing to walk out outside. The food though in the pub was very poor. Filipino sauce all over my nachos. Horrible.
The big downside of this hotel is the room size and that is why it is cheap. For sole occupancy and a late arrival and early check out, the hotel is perfect, but for a two or three night stay with more than just yourself in the room, the room is depressingly small.
If you are on a budget, you won't get a room of this quality anywhere else easily. For the same price, the standards will drop remarkably, but it would be impossible to imagine a smaller room.
Great value though, no matter how you look at it.

Nice clean hotel although you need to pay for extras but overall we are satisfied. popular attractions are nearby with a stone throw away. Would try out the rest of Tune hotels in the Philippine if we're going back there.

Room Tip: Please choose higher floors if you want to sleep soundly.

Recently done 2 weeks at the Tune Hotel in Ermita. For the price I paid was pretty good. Rooms were very clean, beds were comfy as and the pillows were great. Didn't have a worry in the world the whole time I was there. 7/11 downstairs made things convenient. Molly's pub was an extra bonus. Security at the door 24/7 and all the staff made the place welcoming. Would recommend anyone choosing this place for your visit or next visit in the Manila area. I know I will.. Thanks Tune Hotel

Had two nights booked a few weeks before coming to manila, had to cancel one night and rebook, was charged a fee of over half the cost of the nights stay even though rebooking was made two weeks ahead of arriving.

First night at the hotel we were kept awake and woken by traffic beeping and workmen on the floor above. Window sounded like it was open.

We requested on check out that we stay in a quieter room on the next night - the night before flying home. On check in we were gi e a room facing the road and not on a high floor as arranged. Changed room. Second room is as tiny as the first, quiet but no tv remote control, we'd paid extra which included for cable, not a biggie. Shower, however is cold and low pressure. Reported problem, told we'd be moved to a different room. It's 2:45am and we're still waiting.

Seriously. Not the kind of place you'd like to stay if you've been travelling and need a warm shower and rest. Hotel is located in red light district too, so unless that's your thing ...
