Our 4th time to stay in this hotel but our 1st time during the holidays. Stayed for 5 days / 4 nights. Had a generally pleasant stay with still very warm and hospitable staff, cozy bedrooms, a nice side view of the bay from our bedroom, very clean surroundings, prompt service, nice amenities and a simple but balanced buffet breakfast in such a cozy and relaxing atmosphere....until our last buffet breakfast on new year's day where a larger venue was used perhaps to accomodate a larger group. There was no proper exhaust system where the food was being prepared and as soon as we left the place, our clothes smelled like food! We made it quite early so we were right away seated but, we had to join other familes in a big table as if we were in a wedding reception. the coziness was all gone and the atmosphere felt tense. i just noticed the people around were staring at each other and it made me feel uncomfortable! People who were along the buffet area were almost bumping into me, as if everyone was scampering and i almost tripped from the little ones who were running around. some of the serving spoons at the salad bar were tinged with sardine oil and the serving tongs were on the bowls! i served myself for coffee since unlike the other days, no waitress/waiter came to our table to ask us for our drinks. as i went to get my coffee, there were no clean cups on the table and all the used cups were scattered around with the used sachets. i was able to find a clean cup at last but when i pressed on the coffee dispenser, it was empty. hoh myy.
our key cards were not recognized on several occasions both in the elevator and in our room. it was a waste of time and energy having to go to the front office to have our cards reprogrammed.

This hotel has a very beautiful view of the boulevard. The reception staff were very good. Concierge was very helpful to get me a private car to use during my stay in Manila. Rooms were excellent with good amenities, clean towels.the side view of the sea was a treat in the afternoon. If you want a full view ask for the front rooms xx30.. I tried the reflexology SPA. That was an excellent experience. Staff were expert, and by the time they finish, you want to go to bed . Breakfast was outstanding and the restaurant had very good view to the swimming pool. Try to stay by the window. There is a lot of 7-11 stores, Starbucks laundry around the hotel. Very good massage parlor behind the hotel. I recommend it(two minutes walk). Very good walking tack on the boulevard, but Alana's, there is a lot of poverty around you with some poor begging you.

Room Tip: Ask for front rooms toward the sea.

I stayed in the Diamond hotel in July 2013. Hotel seemed dated. Rooms were old and service needs attention.
Needs some serious consideration to go to the next level.
All in all, the hotel was ok, room service menu needs reviewing.
I would rate a 7/10

My son and I stayed at this hotel on 2 occasions in Nov. & Dec., 2013. It is a beautiful hotel, in a great area of Manila and we received excellent service. Tom Hallare, the Duty Manager, went out of his way to assist us. We thought the food was also outstanding. Consider upgrading to the Diamond Club. It was worth it and the view from the 25th flow was extraordinary.

Was here for 4 days to organize an event in the hotel. Breakfast buffet was great with continental as well as Asian fare. The meals we catered for the event was excellent. Service staff were polite and accommodating. One thing I thought was very troublesome was that there was no free Internet provided in the rooms. It seems silly to go all the way to the lobby to use the free wifi. Also the Android users amongst us seemed to always have trouble connecting to the wifi. Luckily the IT personnel in the hotel were able to get it fixed. Still a waste of time though.
