this is where the Philippine national hero Dr.Jose Rizal was executed during the Spanish period that"s why the the park is renamed in honor to him.

This place is always full of people in any time of the day, mostly after school/office hours & weekends,it became a place for a little walk or just a place to hang-out when you felt a little bored.

It also has another park/monument inside (with fee).It also has a theater in which you can watch some college students doing some practices or making a performances (free of charge).

Very near to Manila Ocean Park,Baywalk, malls & bars !!

“Nice place to get away from busy Manila streets”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 June 2014

This was a nice getaway from the craziness of Manila traffic. You can walk around and see several monuments and gardens if you wish. They have outdoor concerts here weekly it seems.

“Nice Stroll”

It is nice to walk around the park. It feels safe because there are a lot of security guards and police who patrol the park. Walking distance to Intramuros as well.

“Lovely Place for a Stroll”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 June 2014

Try to visit early morning before it gets too hot. There is a Thomas Tank Engine train that these you around the park for a small fee, or alternatively you can stroll it in an hour. Do visit both the Chinese and Japanese Gardens. Also there are spotlessly clean toilets ( small fee payable ) and plenty of stalls selling drinks and snacks.

“Heart of Manila”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 June 2014

Rizal Park is one of the places you want to visit if you go to Manila. This park is continuously being renovated to improve the place. A nice place to relax, spend time with friends or family. And one more thing, it's FREE! This park offers better viewing experience during night at around 7PM-9PM. During this time, the dancing fountain is opened. You also might find fireworks display for several occasions.

Helpful tips:
Restrooms are always on a long queue, several fast food resto is just around the area. The restrooms inside the stores and fastfood chains is a better option.
Bring your own camera, photographers are available within the vicinity but charging a lil bit overpriced.
After visiting Rizal Park, several tourist spots are just a walk away from the park. If you still have spare time, you might want to visit those too. Just ask for assistance and direction from the tourist help desk located around the park.
