This park is named after the country's national hero and has his statue in the centre. It is surrounded by a large grassy area. The paths leading to the statue were blocked off you couldn't get within 100 metres of it. The reason was not apparent. There isn't anything else to see except for some garden you had to pay to enter.

before the heat of the day ---Rizal Park, is a historical urban park located along Roxas Boulevard, adjacent to the old walled city of Intramuros -- you can get a real feeling for the people here --and most are extremely polite in dealing with foreigners

I stumbled onto this great park on my way to Intramuros and was surprised to find such a fun and lively atmosphere. There are people taking picnics, grandparents with their families, and overall this was a fun find.
