Residents of Quezon City and nearby cities in Metro-Manila should take advantage of the healthy lifestyle at the Quezon Memorial Circle everyday at 6:00 a.m. If you are a health buff and an exercise enthusiasts, you can try to wake up at break of day and head to the Park. Daily instructors conduct exercise sessions within the park. One at the open garden and another in the covered courts. My preference is the open garden where the vines have flowering blooms in violet and white. There are even water ponds with fish that gives delight to the toddlers and kids. The military and police trainees are a common sight too running around the oval at the Q.C. monument. I always bring my balikbayan friends and relatives to the exercise sessions which last for an hour or so. Of course, after the grueling zumba and taebo punches and kicks, one will feel hungry. We then have our refreshing fresh buko drink at very reasonable price of P28/buko. Then, we will have breakfast at Nike Sunglass Café for our favorite sardines in olive oil with barako coffee. For the balikbayans who are looking for a treat, the circle exercises and food will provide a different ambiance from traditional restaurants.

A park for many activities. When the Manila Seedling Bank closed along Agham Road in Quezon City, most of the tenants moved to the Quezon City Memorial Circle. We were able to buy many citrus tree seedlings and other flowering plants. This is a big venue for everything: biking , running , walking, shopping , eating , aerobic dancing . Name it , QC memorial has it. There are weekend classes on agriculture and how to plant crops and raise livestock. There are many vendors in this attraction . Although the place is huge, it tends to be crowded on week ends.

Well, this is one of good public space in Quezon City. It has some history, there is a museum inside the Memorial (closed at 4pm). When I was there, it still renovated. It has parks and enough green space. It's good to hang out here with people or some communities as there are many trees that protect you from the heat :-)

They have a good variety of rides, all priced at P60 or less. If you're on a tight budget but want to have a fun date nonetheless, this is a great place to go.

We did the bump cars [P40] 4 times and would have gone even more if there were more people to bump cars with. The swinging, twisting viking ship was lots of fun to ride too. There is even a musical fountain in the park to look at.
