I attended a wedding weekend at the Hawkesdene House and can't imagine that our stay could have been any better. The rooms and grounds are perfectly maintained and the food was wonderful. Phil, Rob and their team make you feel welcome like a guest in their home. The Hawkesdene House is truely a perfect setting away from everything yet so close to so much to do. I hope to have the opportunity to return again.

We rented the whole estate for 6 nights at the end of June. We had 40 of our closest family and friends with us. It was an amazing week. Hawkesdene was perfect! Everyone loved it! The breakfast each morning was delicious, and I am still craving those egg casseroles :) Our Wedding was on Friday night. The Hawkesdene staff did an amazing job with the reception set up, and the food was to die for. It was simply perfect, and I should know, I am the bride :)
We decided to rent the estate for the whole week instead of just the weekend, as a gift to our guests for making such a long trip to be at our wedding. It ended up being a gift to ourselves also. I am so glad we did. The property is amazing, and the rest and relaxation offered there is pure luxury! If you are looking for somewhere truly special, and luxurious, this is the place!

Room Tip: My Groom and I had the Garden cottage. Our friends and family had the main house and the cottages. T...

Stayed at the Hawkesdene House this past weekend with a group of about 10 people. My BF has been going for about 5 years now, and this is my first time here. We stayed in the main house in the upstairs room with the private balcony. The decorations, art, and over stuffed furniture made this B & B very unique. The grounds are breath taking. Something for everyone, whether you like hiking, walking around the barn and animals, or just like to relax and read a good book. There seemed to be endless little areas with nice comfy chairs or couches to just sit back and relax and enjoy the scenery. The game room downstairs has pool table, ping pong, chess, checkers, darts, and a big tv, The owners Rob and Phil could not have been more welcoming and hospitable. My favorite area was the big couches in tha Pavilian by the stone out door fire place. We spent most of our time there playing games, chatting, and enjoying a few cocktails. I could see this being a great place for kids, or even a quick getaway for a few couples and friends. I will def. be back. Thank you Phil and Rob for having us.

Room Tip: Rooms upstairs in the mainhouse allowed to be able to sleep in with out hearing the other guests eat...

My wife and I stayed in the main house, as part of a larger group that rented the entire property for the weekend. The grounds are beautiful, as is the house itself. The kitchen was well equipped with ample space and cookware. The outdoor fireplace area had propane heaters and between the fire and the heaters, we all enjoyed the chilly fall evenings together outdoors.

The town of Andrews is just minutes away. Stop in town, stock up on groceries, drinks, and other supplies. When you arrive, turn off your cell phone and enjoy the quiet tranquility.

Recently stayed for the second time in a cottage at Hawkesdene House. The accomodations are cozy, the grounds are beautiful, both the natural setting and the plantings. A special treat is the barn and pasture with llamas, available for treks up the mountain side. There are other dogs and cats to greet you, as well. The hospitality extended by the innkeepers was much appreciated, including a home cooked batch of vegetable beef soup!

We just returned from five fabulous days at hawkesdene. The estate, cottages and property are meticlously maintained and beautifully furnished. The innkeepers,Rob and Phil made sure that all of our party wanted for nothing. His is the perfect sight for family gatherings, retreats or just to get away. It is 2.5 hrs. From Atlanta or 3.5 hrs. From Knoxville. Well worth the drive.

Room Tip: The main house or the three bedroom Robinsnest cottage are simply gorgeous!

Hawkesdene House was the perfect getaway for eight of my closest friends meeting together for Memorial Day Weekend. We shared the entire house and the Garden Cottage. The house has 4 guest suites, immaculate and detailed for comfort with the highest end furniture and bedding - all from North Carolina and local shops. In addition there is a lower level suite on the bottom floor of the house with 2 separate bedrooms and a large "entertainment room" with billiards and 60" projection TV. The Innkeepers Mark and Michelle were very friendly and took care of us the first two days, and the owners Rob and Phil took care of us the entire stay....fresh cooked brekafasts each morning, afternoon snacks ready for us after a day of horseback riding, or white water rafting, or hiking all nearby. And the dinners and social times in the Pavilion, The arbor and Fire Pit area...all first class..they always ANTICIPATED or needs, and often surprised us....you will not worry about a thing at Hawkesdene...there is so much to explore, and the hiking trails area great, right on the property....Thank you to all! We will see you again real soon! I will mostly miss sleeping with the windows open each night listing to the creek running...and sau hello each day to the Llamas, Goats, Mule and Chickens on the farm.
