This hotel seems to be focused on one thing and one thing only. Being cheap. The rooms are so small that there is no way you can sit on the chair they put in the room! The room's door locks are so unreliable that I had to take all of my valuables with me whenever I was exiting the room. The water was full of rust and not usable. They never said anything about the breakfast so I am not sure if they offer anything or not!!

Stayed at Capital Hotel for 2 nights in Ankara and we were happy with it. The hotel is on a main road so it was a bit difficult when we arrived wondering where to park - someone from the hotel took our car and parked it for us (somewhere secure they said!) and returned the car to us on the day we left. The room was spacious and adequate for our needs, though looked a bit tired and in need of an upgrade - that was true of the whole hotel. The bath was a little high, so for someone with short legs it was a bit of a challenge getting in and out. Breakfast was a standard spread, there was some hot food but I tended to stick to the cold meats and cheese. Wasn't too impressed with the packaged bread though they tasted fresh enough. The location is really good - within walking distance to the Citadel, Anatolian Civilisations Museum and Ulus Hali food market which was really awesome. We took the metro when travelling to Anit Kabir (Ataturk's Mausoleum) and were on the opposite side of the road from the Haci Bayram Mosque which we stumbled upon - it was set in an area which seems to have been developed recently with lit up fountains, etc. As the hotel was on the main road, there were some eateries so we didn't need to go too far for our meals. We wouldn't hesitate to stay at Capital Hotel again if we return to Ankara – great convenient location and helpful staff!

I was looking for a low cost hotel for a night in Ankara. This hotel was a good value. The price was fair. The rooms were good. The brekfast was good and the staff was friendly.

It is not far from the metro station approx 1km and on a main road that lead to or near many of the cities attractions.

It is close to the old city / citadel and museums. I would stay here again if looking for a decent hotel without wanting to pay the higher cost of a marriott, radisson, sheraton, etc.

Room Tip: specify non smoking.
