Had to attend and deliver a seminar in December in the Ankara Plaza Hotel. Check in was impressive, the room & facilities ideal and the staff were extremely helpful.
Not knowing Ankara very well I was surprised how good the location was and how peaceful. Breakfast was very good with a decent choice as was lunch. It has the appearance of being on a back side street but at one end was the city centre and thoroughfare and on the other, one of the main shopping streets. Close by were a number of bars and eating places. Overall I would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: All of the rooms appeared to be good and of the same good standard

I stayed at the Plaza Ankara with family for two nights in January. This was my 3rd stay at the Plaza and once again, I was not disappointed.

Rooms are spacious and heating / air con worked very well. The facilities are clean and modern.

The breakfast is excellent and a has a good variety. Staff are friendly and helpful, but English language is fairly limited. Hotel is very well located in the centre of Ankara.

For 200 TL per night for a double room (including breakfast), great value too !

The Turkish Hamam in the fitness lounge is excellent and very nostalgic (and free to use for guests !). There is a steam room and jacuzzi as well.

No hot water in the room in the morning. Couldnt even take a proper shower. The heating in the room is very noisy and very dry in the room. Cleanliness and breakfast ia good. They have presented a fruit plate as a gift but it was very surprising that they tried to charge it while check out.

I went on a 4 days business trip. The hotel was a standard 4 stars, nothing outanding.
Probably wouldn't come back.
Room is quite simple. Mine had two beds. No bathtub.
I specifically asked for a non-smoker room but there was an ashtray, though smell was not strong.
Breakfast was very poor for a 4 stars hotel, however great views from dining room.
Polite staff but with some difficulties to speak english.

On a recent trip with friends to Ankara I stayed here and was very satisfied. The place was very clean, the staff was friendly and the breakfast on the rooftop was very good (as were the other meals). I managed to use the sauna and the Turkish bath which were surprisingly clean. There is also a nice exercise room. The hotel is close to the center of the city which is nice. The only drawback, although not a major one, was the internet connection was a little slow, an upgrade would be nice.
