We stayed here at the end of our walk along the Lycian Way. Very comfortable stay in a room overlooking beautiful gardens and splendid pool. Excellent shady sitting areas. Breakfast very good - fresh fruit every day. Family all very helpful.

It was really nice to stay, dine and swim there. I also had a message from Mr. Golden Hand named Ali. It was good. Patara is a pretty place. This hotel is really pretty and very close to Patara Beach and antic city. There is a swimming pool outside which is nice to relax after long hours of trekking around the area. The food is really delicious and the hotel staff is nice.

Room Tip: The air-conditioner at some rooms doesn't work.

The Golden Lighthouse is on a side street just near to the centre of Gelemis village. It's a good value place to stay, with good balconies and neutral-furnished rooms (perhaps a little more functional than comfortable or garish). The shower fell to bits every time it was uses. There's a good sized pool and pleasant outdoor bar area for lounging. The staff did not seem interested to open the bar unless tour groups were staying. It's about 3 minutes walk from the Golden Lighthouse to the small number of lokantas, gozleme shops, bars and cafés in Gelemis. We drove to the beach, but I guess it's about 25 minutes on foot and the Golden Lighthouse proves transport if you need. The beach is a fantastic, unspoilt 11km stretch of sand that is not at all busy and very shallow and warm for bathing. The restaurants in Gelemis are not as fancy as you might encounter in some parts of Turkey. It didn't bother us, but if you like to sleep late it's good to know that Gelemis has a very loud mosque. Overall, I don't think the Golden Lighthouse is anything special and is kind of characterless, but is a solid choice if you want to stay in Gelemis.

As Patara is not (yet) a place for mass tourism this hotel offers everything you want in quality and location. Clean , big rooms and a very quiet spot just outside the center of the village.
The hotel does not have it's own restaurant but in the summer months they organise a barbecue on Tuesday and Thursday.
Helpful English speaking staff.

Just back from a fortnight at this hotel. It was peaceful, clean, well kept and the staff were exceptionally helpful. Patara itself is a good spot from which to explore various ancient sites and the beach is gorgeous. We hope to return in the near future.
