I can't say enough good things about the Akay! Kazim, his father, and his lovely wife Ayse are all such fantastic hosts. They made us feel more then just at home, they made us feel part of the family. Ayse's cooking is absolutely fantastic, and amazingly good value. I usually try a few places for evening meals, but I felt absolutely no desire to go anywhere else when the quality, quantity, and service of the meals at Akay were all so incredible. The room was spotlessly clean - who cares if it doesn't have some of the features that other hotels boast?? I would rather have a clean room, good food, and pleasant company then a hair dryer, TV and swimming pool any day!
Kazim's genuine interest in ensuring all his guests see the very best this area has to offer is an added and unexpected bonus. I'm so glad I took his advice and went to Pinara for the day, what a beautiful place! Please don't miss it!
In short, Akay MADE my holiday this year. Thank you so much to all the family for their generosity and kindness throughout my stay.
PS Rambo sends his love!

Don't miss this fantastic little pension during your Turkish trip. Kazim and Ayse are really friendly and committed to make your stay something you will remember, and even if the pension is quite little and simple , everything is clean and she is a real great cooker.
Patara beach is also very nice , a couple of days relaxing there is really what you need if you have already made plenty of miles in wonderful Turkey.

Trust all the great reviews.

One comment in their guest book there said that after a few months of travelling in Turkey, she hadn't stayed or eaten in a better place.

We often eat at different places each night, however we just couldn't bring ourselves to go elsewhere as it was so consistently good!

I was 5 months pregnant when I was there and couldn't have been looked out for more by Kazim and Ayse. They are so good at what they do and will help you with anything you need.

Lastly, if you are looking to relax and have the option to travel to see more of the area, Patara is perfect. It's absolutely stunning and tranquil and the ruins are incredible.

We would go back and would stay there and we aren't usually repeat a holiday type of people.

By far the best value we had during our travel across Turkey. This was the cheapest room we had during our travel (50 TL/night for a double room), the room was comfy and rather well furnished. The bathroom was big, the water hot. Wifi, AC, mosquito nets were provided and it is also possible to use the washing machine. The breakfast (included) was excellent: fresh bread, tasty home made fig jam, cheese, olives, omelette or boiled egg, tomato, fruits, ...
We also had dinner several times at the pension and the food was always exellent!
The pension is run by a sympathetic couple speaking good english.

We really enjoyed our stay there.
The only point they could improve is the aeration in the bathroom (you sometimes have the odours of the neighbouring bathroom).

We stayed here at the beginning of September 2011 for 8 days. Kazim and Ayse are definitely the best hosts. The rooms are spacious, clean and the dishes Ayse is serving are great. The best food we had there. The pension is close to the very beautiful Patara beach. Our stay there was very relaxing, Kazim also told us about the places we can see and the other nice beaches we could try.
PS Sorry to have written the review so late.

Room Tip: Even if the rooms that have the view towards the street are a little noisier in the morning, they ar...

We chose this B&B based on other rave reviews and we fully agree with these. We stayed for about four days in July. It was terribly hot but the beach is close and great (but very popular). Akay do everything they can to make your stay comfortable and all the reviews that say it feels like staying with family are true - Ayse and Kazim are so friendly and easy to be with. The food is magnificent - the best we had in the 5 countries we visited - and a three course meal is less than what restaurants in Fethiye charge for one meal and less than half what some in Istanbul charge. We noticed that people from all around came for dinner and there was never a spare table. Our room was very comfortable with a great ensuite shower - all spacious and lovely rather than fancy. You can explore a whole range of exciting ancient ruins, lovely villages, spectacular moutain passes and the fantasic gorge easily from Patara.

Room Tip: It might be worth asking for a room that faces the garden at the back rather than one on the road.

I stayed here in summer 2009 and 2010, for 4/5 days on the way to / from an activity holiday in Kas, and can certainly recommend it.

Kazim runs the place, with his wife Ayse, and is really friendly and eager to make sure you enjoy every minute in Patara. If you need an airport transfer he will sort it (Kazim even came along for the ride to the airport to pick me up the last time I came!), if you want to go to the beach - and trust me, you DO want to go to the beach, it's beautiful - he'll give you a lift in the car or a pillion on his motorbike, and can advise and sort out any trips or activities you might fancy.

Once you're done for the day and back at the pension, Ayse cooks up some superb food to refual you for the next day!
