We have just come back from turquoise apartments and stopped in a ruby apartment. The views were amazing from our room and balcony looking down the hill side for miles. They are only 15 minutes transfer from the airport and everything was slick on arrival. The local area also has other apartment areas and they don't mind if you use there pools and facility's which is great if you want to mix it up a bit. There are plenty of restaurants, bars and grocery shops within walking (or free shuttle bus) distance. We really liked the sunset bar and restaurant near turquoise, it too had amazing views and the sunsets were like something off a postcard. Great people, great place, great food, great weather, great tan. Would defiantly go again.

Great resort with plenty to amuse us on and off site. New management have made a huge difference from the early days. The Coral area suits us for the quiet. We bought an apartment there and have not regretted it. The on-site restaurant is top class. Free transport to beaches and other eateries. Weather perfect. Prices low, compared to Euro areas. The local bus (called a Dolmus) will take you to Bodrum in about 25 minutes. The locals will make you feel special. A place for all ages.

Stayed in an Opal Villa mid to end of September. Party of 5 {Nan, Mum, Dad and 2 teenagers). The villa had its own pool which was lovely but a little too cold to swim in until the afternoon. A very peaceful location and suggest hiring a car as it is remote. There is a bus service just outside the resort that takes you to Bodrum for 7 lira per person each way (this may change in different times of the season).
There is a mini bus to take you around the resort and to the other resorts close by but from mid September it only went every 2 hrs. The complex has everything you need from a very good restaurant to a supermarket on site and just outside the gates is a larger supermarket. The prices at the restaurant are more than reasonable - the 5 of us ate a main course, pudding and had 2 drinks each for less than £50 (this included 2 steaks).
The only downside was this is a very hilly location and Nanny struggled walking around the resort. In season this wouldn't be a problem as I'm sure the mini bus runs more frequently.
If you want a relaxing holiday then this is the place to go. It is well run, very clean and tidy and the staff go out of their way to ensure you have a good holiday.

Hi Lorraine, knowing the resort well plays an important part in ensuring that you locate the best apartment or villa for your stay. For this reason, guests should consider talking to one of the many booking agents, for example Bodrum Villa Rentals, who promote the resort as they know the exact location of all of the accommodations and can therefore guide you to the perfect solution for your stay. In your case there are many apartments and villas closer to the clubhouse and could have made it easier for your Nan to cope with. Having said this, Opal villas are generally in a great location and are worth considering for this reason.

With regards your main points, you clearly had a great time and we appreciate the very positive feedback you have provided. The age range of your family is a good indication that Turquoise has something for everyone. The rugged nature of the local terrain can take guests unaware's which is why we spend a great deal of effort in ensuring that the marketing we produce highlights this. Unfortunately superb vistas and stunning sea views do tend to come at a price. Thank you.

My partner and I visited Turkey, Bodrum earlier this year in May and decided we would book a villa to stay in for the duration of 2 weeks as we wanted something a little more private and out of the way. We decided to go for villa Quartz 14 after a fair amount of researching, and definitely do not regret it. The villa itself is fabulous - admittedly maybe too big for just two of us, it's more of a family home (two bedrooms and a sofa bed), however we were extremely fond of the size regardless of the amount of space. There were also three bathrooms, two en suite, so no need to wait around for someone to finish using the bathroom if you need to use it too! The bedrooms and bathrooms were lovely and clean with a neutral finish, and the decor in the rest of the house is also lovely. The sofa bed is very comfy and big enough for 2+ people. In my opinion, the DVDs and boardgames were a lovely touch as it was a bit rainy over the two weeks. The pool out front is also amazing to cool off in or get your exercise fix - it was also cleaned regularly by a very polite man which is always a good thing! The only negative points about the pool is that we found the jets to be a bit temperamental at times, and the metal stair banister leading into the pool has very sharp limescale on it which you need to be careful of - especially if you have children! All in all, the resort itself is very nice, always clean and has very friendly staff - especially in the restuarant. I would recommend the restaurant as it is affordable and the food is tasty! There is also a heated pool and a gym next to the restaurant to use at your discretion. A short walk up the hill is a bigger supermarket which I find better to use than the supermarket on resort - but the prices in both, I found, were quite steep. Although, I have heard during the peak of summer in Turkey it is a lot cheaper - so something to bear in mind! Ultimately, would go back to this resort again!

Room Tip: Quartz 14 is perfect in terms of space, views and quietness! Also, fully equipt with A/Cs!

I have never been a fan of Turkey but staying at Turquoise changed all that. This was the best hiday i have ever had. Went with my 9 year old daughter and my friend. The villa was superb and had everything we needed. There is a shuttle bus that takes you round the whole complex and also to other resorts. Staff brilliant and really good with kids. kids play areas all around the main pool, restaurant abd bar. happy hour fm 5-6 every nite, karaoke nites friday, outdoor cinema sunday bite. A visit to Royal heights is a must. The infinity pool overlooking the beautiful view is to die for, the massages are good and the restaurant is very good too. We went to a Turkish nite here which was brilliant. Loved the holiday so much we've already booked 2 weeks for next year. The place us so clean and the people we met were fab. Just love this place! I would highly recommend it.

We stayed at this resort just recently in one of the 2 bed apartments. The apartment itself was a good size and had everything we needed for a family of 4. The resort is very pretty and has lovely views of the lake and sea. You can share facilities with the neighbouring resorts, all in all there are lots of facilities and places to eat. There are many beaches only a short distance away. The private beach is mostly decking but with sandy areas as well. My beach has a sandy beach and is very pretty. Both are nice for swimming and snorkelling. We used the buses to get around and take us to Bodrum. The buses are known as "dolmus" and they are a great way to get about. They are very cheap and you just hail them down wherever you are and hop on. We did a trip to Hierapolis and Pamukkale whilst we were there and also took the kids to the water park in Bodrum. All in all we had a lovely stay and would go again

Thank you for your review Shelly. MyBeach is a very popular beach area with some lovely facilities although there are as you say, several nice alternatives available locally. It seems overall you had a great time and we look forward to seeing you here again in future years.
