the location was way out but we did have some nice walks from there we arrived early hours in the morning we would never stay there again we were suppose to have apartment over looking pool but in stead we had the first one by reception and it was like a dungeon we could not open the windows because the road had been dug up out side so we would have all the dust from the road come in there was only one door and if we left it open we had no privacy because we were rite out side reception and we ate out every evening and had wonder full meals on the last nite we decided to have a meal there they sat us on another table with ppl from Norway the wife could speak a little English the husband could speak none and then amongst all this they told us to be ready for 7 and we never had our food till 9 o clock and it was horrible their attiude was appalling they never even said good bye it was a night mare of a place the actuall holiday it self and resort was fab I would go back to bitez but certainly not this place

Family run hotel helpful, sociable and polite.
If you like a quiet location with a good terrace serving good quality food and drinks at a good price.
I used the swiming pool every day which was cleaned daily although it was green in colour this was i think due to the tiles.
The rooms are quite nice but the furnishings are a bit basic and it could do with some decent chairs and tables for the balcony area. There is no toaster but we did mange to cook a simple breakfast.
The only other issue was the cleaning but we did mention this to the owner and it appears the cleaner left 1/2 way through our week - the floors were not swept or mopped and the bathroom did not appear to be cleaned either - the bedlinen was changed however and finally some pictures however simple would have been a nice touch.
Saying this the family were lovely and we did enjoy our stay we met some lovely people and would probably stay here again due to the family and the location

Room Tip: Upper rooms have nice balconies

Not sure where to start! The apartments are in what appears to be a quiet residential area, which was nice. The road at the front of the apartments was closed as it was being dug up for resurfacing. Strangely though, the side gates still remained locked so we had to walk in and out via a dusty, broken and sometimes wet-cement-filled road! There are dogs in the area which bark all through the night and then the cockerels wake you up about 4am too so take some earplugs!
We had an apartment on the 2nd floor (apartment 18) which was quite nice.
The 'living area' was spacious - there was a little wooden table and chairs which we took out onto the balcony. Not great for sitting out on as they were very uncomfortable but they did the job for our breakfast and a quick drink at nights.
Cooking anything was near impossible. We didn't want to make meals, just some toast in the mornings. But try making toast with a one-ring electric hob thing that takes 3 days to heat up (ok 3 days is an exaggeration but it did take ages!) and a small frying pan! There wasn't a bread knife or a toaster. We managed to make toast in the pan so we got by but it could have been made so much easier if they'd just put a toaster in there!
The bedroom had very little room to move but again, it was just a place to sleep.
Bathroom, again very small but it was enough.
However, the place never seemed to get cleaned! Walking around in bare feet or in white socks was a bad idea as your feet just turned black from the floors! I don't think the floors have ever been cleaned. The bathroom definitely didn't get cleaned all week. I think the sheets and towels might have been changed once but couldn't really tell! At least the bins were emptied daily!
The pool area was quite nice. Pool is a good size, however I found it very cold as it was so deep so only went in twice in the whole week! The little kids pool was a bit manky looking - maybe it just hadn't been cleaned cos no kids had been. I told my son not to go in it anyway, it had green stuff round the edges and bits floating in it.
Drinks at the bar were reasonably priced for a hotel, although still cheaper to buy in town. We ate there once, just a lunchtime snack. We got toasties and they were quite nice.
We didn't see much of the owners, perhaps because we didn't go to their barbeque or buy from their 'shop', who knows. When we asked them if they knew where Bodrum market was, they just shrugged and said "don't know"! And when we originally booked the apartments I sent them an email asking if they could give us directions as we were hiring a car at the airport - we got no reply!
Location for us was quite nice - it was away from all the hustle and bustle but still close enough to walk into Gumbet (although that hill was a killer!!). It took about 15 minutes to get to the main beach/restaurant area. Bitez was also within walking distance but we only ate out there once and went in the car as it is slightly further than Gumbet.
Overall, I would rate this place as a 2 star and probably wouldn't go back. BUT, if the rooms were kept properly clean and the owners were more helpful I think they could be given an extra star and I'd definitely consider going back.

If you are planning a holiday at this place be aware. The apartments are small, suppose to be self catering apartments you have one camping ring and kettle, small table witch you have to move if you wish to eat in balcony, if you can call it that. Pool view we asked got field of cows and large double bin not a pretty sight. Owns are rude don't like you eating or shopping anywhere else but there restaurant which is pricey. One night when we returned from dinner in near by town there was a taxi outside apartments and we saw this man arguing with driver,we thought it was a resident but was owner punching taxi driver as he was pumping two RUssian girls outside apartments really you thought you were in faulty towers. My granddaughter split her head in shower due to the fact it was not suitable for small children no rails to hold on to. The living area behind a related was dirty with dust and sweetly papers that looked as if it had been there for teachers. Two cleaners to tidy room to was shower area the cleaner just took down shower hose to wash area that was the cleaning. Sheets and towels were hard and laundry service the cleaners used shop area to dry laundry. No joke you may think am kidding believe me . On the last day the owners wife and daughter who is the manager's were having a cat fight art the main reception. The owner also slept for the two weeks we where there on discounters at the pool. Pool area was not cleaned either plus no life.guard. we tried to removed but it was the Turkish festival. Not a place we will return to.

Just returned from a week at the lemon tree overall nice apartments for the money owners are friendly the guy that does the bar in the morning has limited if any English which led to a few problems and he also plays music to loud but does turn it down if you tell him food orders at the pool bar can take a while to come although the full English is worth waiting for it is a bit of a trek to the centre for restaurants and shopping but this is not such a problem as most of the restaurants will pick you up you can have a meal then go for a walk round and go back to where you ate and they will take you back to your apartments

Room Tip: Never have a basement room
