We enjoyed numerous stays at Antik Tiyatro Hotel since 1998. We love the exclusive view of the castle and Bodrum bay which you can enjoy from your own terrace -decorated with wonderful flowers of the region, as well as the pool side and the charming bar. Each of the rooms as well as the breakfast room are decorated with beautiful furniture and articles collected over the years from the region as well as the world by the owners, and reflect their warm, intellectual character and love for fine arts. You feel like flying over Bodrum when swimming in the pool and the cuisine is excellent. The personnel is very friendly- one of the gestures I can never forget, is finding a beautiful, soft beach towel on my chez-long, when I came out of the pool. It was brought by a personnel who had realized that I had forgotten my towel on the terrace.
We love going back there every summer, we miss the friendly atmosphere, the romantic dinners under candle light, the magnificent view, and , above all the wonderful people when we are away.. We feel at home, we feel happy (I personally feel like a princess :) ) and recommend it to everyone who loves boutique hotels. I have been all around the world - Antik Tiyatro is my most special corner in the world :)

Spent a week in this understated hotel. Discrete service better than many a 5 star hotel I have stayed at. Well appointed and akin to staying in someones home with each room tastefully decorated with fantastic views and your own terrace. Gardens a delight and the short walk from the hotel into town never failed to interest. Will be staying again soon.

We enjoyed 4 wonderful days at the Antique Theatre Hotel, this is a well-maintained property with peaceful atmosphere that makes you feel very special. It is a privilege to witness the exquisite view of the Castle in an extremely romantic and elegant setting. The architecture is amazing, the view is in front of you at every step and you are close to the town centre. The location is very convenient for a walk into town and to visit the Castle. Afterwards, it is a treat to return to the quiet beauty of the hotel to enjoy the view from your room terrace or by the poolside. In the evening, fine dining at elegant tables by the pool is very relaxing, romantic and enjoyable with the view of the illuminated castle. The owner and staff are very friendly and attentive. Mr. Zafer's positive energy and extremely helpful, informative approach towards guests is admirable, he strives to make life easier for guests. We wished we had discovered the Antique Theatre Hotel sooner, we definitely look forward to returning.

We had a wonderful long weekend stay at the Antik Tiyatro Hotel in August 2013. This was not my first trip here, I have stayed at this hotel many times over the past several years. It has the best views of Bodrum, charming rooms, and staff that is ready to help, always with a smile. We arrived and checked in after midnight so were greeted by the security guard- who offered us something to eat, and took care of us without us even asking for it. Would come back again and again. Great value too! Rental car highly recommended, if you want to get around to the beaches during the day, and Bodrum at night.

If you've ever been to the costiera amalfitana in the south of Italy then you would probably agree that this lovely hotel overlooking Bodrum has the same character and style of some of the best pensione and small hotels of Positano or Capri. This is a beautiful family run hotel where you can feel the love and care of the owners and staff. The view is breath taking and the rooms are simple and yet charming and functional. The retro and authentic atmosphere and decor makes this hotel different from the many boutique hotels that try too hard to be different and end looking all the same.

When my wife and I arrived we were greeted by the night guard who helped us to our rooms and then, despite the restaurant was closed - it was after midnight - served us delicious cheese, tomatoes, warm bread and wine, and then made sure to light a candle in our terrace. A warm welcome can make such an impact.

We will be back!

My husband and I,we are professionals in the creative world and have travelled a lot over the past forty years, mainly in Europe. We like to stay in small boutique hotels with character & charme and to avoid by all means the mainstream newish design hotels, where you see practically the same bed, same armchair or the same bathroom, the same minibar hot like an oven or the tv just over the bed. This unfortunately is all over the world nowadays.
In Bodrum, where we have been for the first time in 1969, and which we found totally changed in our last visit in July 2013, we were very happily surprised to find just the kind of hotel we constantly look for: Good architectural and environmental design on top of all the usual facilities which normally are a must like cleanness, good service, silence etc. Here, very remarkably so, all rooms are focused to the view of the famous castle of Bodrum and have well shaded begonvillea vine terraces, which are nearly as large as the rooms. The well chosen details in the rooms and in the breakfast area such as antique chairs, precious mirrors and old lithographes or ceramics make you fell in a European realm after an Oriental journey in Asia Minor. The very peak and surprising hint of all this is to find right here in Bodrum in the Antique Theatre Hotel a restaurant affiliated to the famous gourmet association La Chaine des Rotisseurs, which you can hardly find away from the metropoles.
What a really well-done breeze of luxury and dignity is that small hotel without eyewash appearances which can be bought in any Habitat or Ikea store. Last but not least, you will be luckily surprised to meet here a real grand signore in persona behind the hotel desk, the owner of this lovely hotel, not even less lovely then all of this hotel, he is almost every minute there, calm and helpful with deep knowledge and humor, a real gourmet, not a new wave/self - styled one, and he is controlling the kitchen himself.
All this is not random , but he never talks about it: this man has lived long time in Europe working for prominent international institutions of the world and taught then as a professor. He knows, what managing is and is now running personally his business enterprise since 20 years. With great admiration and appreciation, we left him after a week intending to return very soon to the Antique Theatre Hotel. See you hopefully at Christmas time or next Easter Dear Mr.Zafer…

Room Tip: no difference ,because all rooms have nearly the same view and large terrace

We have only managed to stay at this charming boutique hotel for 3 three days in July for the first time, however I definitely plan to come back in September and enjoy the peace, the view, the comfort and the food again. Next time I will go there by myself and have a relaxing holiday.
