The hotel has both positive and negative aspects. The positive ones are: design, location, view over Bodrum Marina, food, Beach, pool, spa, overall look and atmosphere.
The negatives: certain services (especially cleaning), coffee and sometimes (too loud) music.
I will detail each and every one of them. The hotel looks pretty amazing, the view over the marina is superb and even if we had a room with garden view that was also great because the gardens are also beautiful.
The food also very good, many Turkish dishes (which we love) in addition to standard international ones. From breakfast to dinner everything was to our taste, including our 4-year old's.
The spa center is also nice, the masseuse was Indonesian so she really new her thing.
The beach is not too large but quite enough, never too crowded, we always found free sunbeds close to the water. There was also a "grassy" beach arranged with umbrellas and large cushions instead of sunbeds. Those were really comfy and could also be found near the pool. The pool water was the best ever, the water had 28-29 degrees so we used to take a refreshing dip into the sea and then go to the pool for a longer swim.
As for the neagtive aspects, cleaning was a bad surprise. The cleaning ladies would come in the afternoon when our kid was sleeping so one day they didn't come at all. The next day we called the reception and they said they would send someone right away. That someone came two hours later and only replaced our towels. The bathroom floor was really dirty with sand and all but they said their work ends at 5 so they didn't have time to do anything more. One day they took all three sets of towles and put back only two. The bathtub also looked like it needed a good scrub.During our 7 day stay they mopped the floor only once and they totally ignored the terrace where we happened to have spilled a glass of gin tonic. That stain remained there throughout our stay... I cleaned the table terrace myself after 3 days when they didn't even touch it and it was really dirty.
The problem with the coffee was that they would only serve soluble coffee from coffee machines. If you wanted a regular (Turkish) coffee you had to ask for it specifically. We usually asked for Turkish coffee at the pool bar but only some of the bar tenders knew how to prepare it so once we asked for Turkish coffee, they looked very confused and finally served us soluble coffee. We finally got used to the the soluble coffee but this is really unacceptable for a country which is famous for its coffee tradition.
We had a room with garden view, close to the pool and restaurant That was very convenient for us, considering the kid and the fact that we didn't need to climb any stairs to get wherever we needed. However, the animation/entertainment/live music would happen near the pool bar, right under our window. That means terribly loud music until or past 11pm on all nights.
