Just got back from a week at Ora - they actually put us in the next door complex Oruna but they are basically the same place and you can just walk between the two, we had a great time but we experienced good and bad, put simply:

Good:
Staff really friendly and helpfull, all speak english
Setting is stunning
Food was good, basic turkish food but lots of choice and so many cakes to choose from!
Good base to explore Bodrum, only 2 lira on bus into town
2 Complexes together so 2 big pool areas to choose from
Beach was manmade but great, we had to ourselves and pier is perfect for diving or jumping into the sea!

Bad:
The rooms are most basic I've ever seen, my girlfriend nealry cried when we arrived! The rooms had old carpet floor and I never saw a vacum whilst we were there!!
We were 2 of 6 english people in the entire complex! All French and Eastern Europeans
Nowhere to walk outside the complex, situated about 3 miles from Torba
Entertainment was poor

We did have a great holiday in the end, we missed not having other english people around and the entertaiment was poor but we just went with it and ended up having a great time. I cant recommend it as the rooms are SO BASIC but if you dont mind basic rooms and nowhere to walk at night (we bussed into Bodrum), and you get a cheap deal you'l have some fun at Ora.

I and my wife stayed in Ora holiday village on 20-25 January 2008. It was excellent holiday. Holiday village was very very very nice. Sea was perfect and our sunset photos were great. Food was fine, beer was very tasteful. Staff were friendly and cheerful. Entertainment program wasn't my cup of the but we didn't care. Because the place was very peacefu and we enoyed it a lot. We joined 1 night Catamaran Disco Club Tour and it was very interesting but not much. We didn't like the choises of the Dj. Anyhow it was also fun to dance on a glass floor over sea. The turnback to the land by a speed boat was also great experience.
I recommend the holiday village for anybody who wants peace and interesting holiday.

First time in Turkey and we arrived in the dead of night, the coach was greeted by staff at an arched door that had beautiful cascading pink flowers. Looked very promising, untill we went through the door.
It looked like the High Chaperal, with reception being in the open. The two staff present could not speak english and when the one took our bags from us and beconed us to follow him down dark allyways, we thought we were going to be mugged !
we were shown to our room, which was really nice, twin beds, sofa, fridge, air con, telly and ensuite shower room in marble. They even left meals and drink to greet us.
Next day, we got a better look at the ora. Beautiful gardens leading to the water. Staff were friendly and hard working. Food plentiful, though some things a little odd, plenty of choice .You certainly would'nt starve here.
rooms are set around the garden, similar to chalets and although the dinning room is inside, the snack bar and drinks bar are set on the terrace ,out in the open.
day 1 ,we were bit to pieces by mosquitos
day 2 I was bit by a one inch ant, that took ages to stop bleeding.
day 3at 11pm at night the whole area was fummigated, because of mosquitos(even though people were sitting at the terrace bar, we were not warned and we thought the place was on fire day 4, i was bit by a cat, i didnt care by then because i thought i had rabies and was going to die!
after that things got better, bodrum is only a short bus trip away and the journey is pennies, saw the dream girls in Gumbet, Superb!
My husband tried everything to get out of going, he thought it was a gay club and he would be to scared to use the toilet and would have to have his back against the wall all night!
how wrong could he be, He thanked me for making him go, DO NOT MISS THIS SHOW.
lots of mixed nationalities holidaying at ora, including russians. We noticed a lot of single german ladies here and understood when we were told about the EXTRA room service available. Dont know if it comes under the all inclusive package or not!
took a couple of day trips, relaxed in the sun, ate, drank watched turkish tellevision(prime time consists of circus and magic shows),enjoyed it, but two weeks was loo long!
Staff were excellent, but please remember to tip them, as they really appreciate it( and you will get served first!) Would go back again.

This hotel is a golden gem.
We booked our holiday to turkey becuase it was very cheap. Turkey hadn't ever interested me, but it was cheap sun.

When we arrived it was fab. Disappointing, there wasn't a balcony in our room, as I love to sit outside in the evening. I really didn't miss it. The turkish reps put on some excellent entertainment every evening, bingo, turkish night, game show. During the day there was always plenty to do. The reps would orangise football, waterpolo, darts and always were full of engery. They really made the tip special.

The rooms were very modern, clean and well equiped. (tv, fridge etc)

The food was very good, some times a little strange (wedding soup???) They offered a good varity of food including turkish kebab. A must! The snack bat serves pizza, burgers and chips. The pizza sadly would always run out as it was so nice.

The small beach area and pool is very clean and you are provided with sunbed and parasoles. The long jetty in to the sea is peaceful and great fun to dive from in to the deep waters surrounding it.

The hotel has a little row of shops, and a haidressers. For £4 you can have a turkish shave and massage. An experience not to be missed. They is also a hotel photoghaper who can take some fantastic shots so you can remeber you holiday. All the staff are very friendly.

Bodrum is just a short bus ride away. The buses are really easy to use. A great night out is The dream girls show. Drag queens! Crazy.

Over all I was extremely happy with everything about this holiday, so much so I'm off on my honey moon there in June and i'm counting down the days.

The Ora holiday village was a very good place to stay for what we paid. I had been a bit nervous beforehand after reading a few bad reviews on various internet sites. THis is not a four or five star hotel, but for what it is it is pretty good. The location is a little bit out of the town centre, clustered together with various other all-inclusive complexes. But the centre of Bodrum is only a 10 min and 40 p dolmus bus ride away, and the bus stops right outside the hotel (where there is also a taxi rank) The hotel itself has it's own little bit of beach, and lovely views from here and the pool area. The actual buildings are not very impressive from the ouside, but the rooms are clean, comfortable and sufficiently equipped. The food in the resteraunt is ok, with plenty of choice at each meal and some variety day to day. The snack bar by the pool was not the best though. The staff were friendly on the whole, though not as welcoming as we found the staff on resteraunts and bars outside the hotel (perhaps because the hotel operates on an all inclusive basis?). The shop claimed to offer English papers, ice creams, a range of drinks etc but none of these were in evidence when we were there (perhaps due to the fact it was the end of the season). These are all small gripes though, and all in all we really enjoyed our time there and found it good value for money.
