Arrived late afternoon in bitez. The journey through gumbet was very hilly and the coach from thomsons struggled up some roads. Was dropped round the corner at the apartments so had to drag our cases down to pedestrianised beach front to hotel in blazing sun.
Was helped with cases to a twin room at the far end of hotel overlooking pool. The room was quite small but compact with enough drawers at least for clothes and a wardrobe. We needed aircon as room stuffy at night. We had a tele and fridge. Stayed B&b which was surprisingly good but ate out every evening.
All restaurant menus have same foods but all cooked food differently so only ate at certain ones. The steaks were small but only 30lr £10 with sauces but check the ingredients as a dianne sce to them is a tomato and pepper one at Almera restaurant but tasty. The beach was stony more than sandy and water was shallow.
Visited gumbet one evening but town centre crummy . Beach ok there better sand than bitez and shallow water. More mither from shop keepers here prefered bitez as a chilled out resort but needs more bars than restaurants.lots of turkish holiday here and danish too. Not many waiters speakin english tho.
Didnt try any boat trips but plenty on offer. .
