This restaurant reminds us pretty much how it was here in bodrum nearly 30 years ago, when most of them were lokanta style where you went in and pointed to what you fancied, The food is first class, always tasty, my favourites are the goulash, pilaki and pilaf, nice location and always busy with locals on their lunch break
I would recommend you not to walk past this place and give it a try.

What a find this place was!
We would never have expected to find such a little gem so close to the centre of Bodrum.

We spotted it as a place where the locals were eating and dived in to the only unoccupied table.

We asked for a menu but instead we were sent inside to see what was on offer in the cabinets.

We chose aubergines stuffed with mince, goulash with large waxy potatoes, puree(mashed potatoes) and rice.

We helped ourselves to bread from the big containers which were on every table and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. With a beer (7TL) and a large water it cost 31TL in total.

It's located in a pedestrian area, opposite the entrance to the Maritime Museum (Deniz Muzesi) in the shade of a massive Eucalyptus tree.

We were looking for something more typically Turkish than we had seen, and were taken in hand by a local and shown here, where several locals were having lunch. There was no menu – we just looked at what looked good and each had a mixed plate of borlotti beans, green beans in tomato and courgettes with lemon and yogurt sauce. There was a huge container of bread on the table to help yourself too, and we had beer or water to drink and sat overlooking a pretty square with lots of coming and goings in the shade of a huge old tree. Perfect! So much so we returned two days later for another lunch!
