Stayed again in June for a week. This trip we stayed in room 1. Definitely a room to be highly recommended. Its on the ground floor and just away from the pool area. No it doesn't have the panoramic sea views of the top rooms but the fact that it is in a lovely quiet shady area more than compensates. Our room was always cool and a really private outside vine covered seating area was fantastic. No other room for us now guys ! As always Gary and Rory were the perfect hosts along with Mamout, cats, dogs et al. Paradise truly found ! See u in September.........

Room Tip: Room 1 on the ground floor is quiet, cool/shady and very peaceful

Stayed in this beautiful place in June 2013. There are only 6 suites in the whole hotel, so it is really small and friendly. We had a suite on the second floor which overlooked the bay of Bodrum. Nothing was too much trouble for Gary, Rory or Mahmoud. Breakfast was lovely with fresh fruit, eggs, freshly cut bead, juice and tea/coffee on offer. Our hosts could even organise a delivery if we didnt feel like venturing out. Just wished we had stayed longer. Both Gary and Rory were a wealth of local knowledge and took the stress out of organising any trips.

Would definately go back there.

My wife Anita and I spent a fantastic 6 days at the Aegean Gate Hotel in June this year. It is a well appointed , spotlessly clean small boutique hotel just off the beaten track but within easy walking distance of the vibrant Bodrum town.

We were wonderfully hosted by Gary and Rory for whom nothing was too much trouble. They pointed us in the right direction and their recommendations with regards restaurants and excursions were spot on. A special mention of Mahmoud for his exceptional service , always with a smile.

Hope to return next year

Stayed two nights at the hotel and only wished we booked for longer. From the moment we walked in we were welcomed and made comfortable. Cannot say enough about Mahmoud, Gary and Rory. They created a beautiful, green, luxurious and peaceful environment that is made even more special with all the rescue animals that live on the premises. The dogs and cats are priceless and truly make your stay even more memorable. Gary, Rory and Mahmout are so very personable and truly if you find any faults with this hotel then there is something wrong with you. The hotel in fact is so wonderful that even if you don't leave the premises, you will have a very nice stay in Bodrum. Thank you so very much Mahmoud, Gary and Rory.

Room Tip: Get a room with a balcony overlooking the sea

Comprising six comfortable rooms this homely hotel is kept spotlessly clean. Transport from the airport is arranged and hosts Gary and Rory make everyone welcome.Extremely pleasant poolside area with a great view. The town centre is minutes away but if you feel like eating in there is an excellent takeaway service from a local restaurant. You have to like cats but they are not a problem unless you are allergic in which case don't come! Definitely recommended

I would recommend this hotel to anyone. We stayed at the Aegean Gate for 5 nights towards the end of May.From check-in to our departure everything was spot-on. My daughter and I ate at some top restaurants recommended by Rory and Gary. They were a great help in suggesting places to go and things to do - the 35 Turkish Lira all-day boat-trip was a bargain!
And.....they were such fun. Many laughs with them and Mahmoud.
The 'meal-in-a-bottle' available at the bar is a specialty!
Can't wait to go back.

Room Tip: When booking ask for the top floor for the views.

Staying at Aegean Gate was a top experience from start to finish. Gary arranged for a driver to meet us at the airport, which was very competitively priced and a very professional service. The hotel has only 6 suites so has a very homely feel. The rooms are well equipped for everything you would need, and everything is kept spotlessly clean, and a lovely view from the spacious balcony.
Gary, Rory & Mahmout are perfect hosts and extremely helpful in so many respects, providing useful information, directions and recommendations.
The included breakfast was spot on, either local food or freshly cooked scrambled eggs on toast with some fresh fruits to follow, and served under a scenic covered terrace.
The hotel is in a nice quiet location, yet just an easy and pleasant 20 minute stroll to the hustle and bustle of Bodrum, which has plentiful shops and restaurants.
I would definitely recommend the food from the hotel, which is brought to your balcony, and which was the best dinner of the week!
