What makes this place so special is not the incomparable views, the impeccable comfortable and spotless rooms, tasteful decor, fabulous swimming pool, delicious breakfast but the care and attention that the two owners bestow on their guests. They go out of their way to make your stay a complete success.
Thank you Gary and Rory. We miss you and all your rescued animals.

Myself and 5 of my friends stayed at the Aegean Gate for a few nights in June 09. It was wonderful! The rooms were modern and clean, the atmosphere was relaxed and the owners are super nice. A friend of ours was very sick and they stopped at nothing to make sure she was comfortable. After a week in a hostel in Istanbul this hotel was just what we needed!

Bodrum can be a bit touristy, and when it gets a bit too much or when you're ready to leave all that behind and put your feet up and call it a day, then the beautiful Aegean Gate Hotel provides the perfect sanctuary. It is located far enough for the noise to die down and yet only minutes away from the centre. It offers a grand view of the Aegean and its garden relaxes the senses. The rooms are clean and the swimming pool well kept. The breakfast is hearty. Best of all, Gary and Rory are fantastic hosts. They leave you alone for your peace and quiet, but always there happy for a chat and to give recommendations. Speaking of which, you'll do well to heed to their recommendations. My partner and I were very pleased to be Gary and Rory's guests and we fully recommend it to anyone who appreciates to be away from the madding crowd.

We had read all the reviews and expected the hotel to be great, but it far surpassed our expectations. Gary and Rory were great host, as well as Samson and all the kitties. The guys recommend the best restaurants, we enjoyed them all. There was one that stood out above the rest, Veligilo at the bottom of the road from the hotel. It is a place locals go so that tells you that it is good.

If your goal is to relax then this is the place, it is quiet, peaceful and has the best views from the top of the hill. Give this hotel a few days and you will be more relaxed than you ever thought possible.

The hotel has one of the most stunning locations we've come across in our travels. The owners are truly charming, generous and attentive. It was like staying with non-intrusive friends. They were lots of fun and helpful in their restaurant and travel suggestions. We enjoyed the breakfast, especially the Turkish breakfast option. On a more serious note, the owners are committed to animal welfare in a big-hearted way. We recommend this hotel to everybody.
