Small place, with no view if you take a table in the back, no air conditioning and flies. Food was delicious, but no menu with price, so we took a sit with my husband and 2 little childreen and we ordered for 2(kids hat eaten alread), and we paid almost 300€, so it was a very expensive evening and I had been in better restaurants for this price, it was nothing special !!!!

When visiting Turkey, a traditional seafood dinner accompanied by mezes (Turkish tapas) and the national spirit, Raki, is a must. Yet here is second to none of the other Turkish seafood restaurants. Here does not compete by cooking the best but by offering the different. The ingredients are always fresh to the utmost. I've known many meals who were resting deep in the sea just before being served on the table. Another difference here is the drink. The usual raki company won't be the solution here as the mostly shellfish dominated menu is more suitable for wine from a variety of local produces that are sometimes even customized to couple Orfoz's dishes. When you are done with the gastronomic fiesta, you will acknowledge why Bodrum is home to one of the Seven Wonders of the World. No, not the Mausoleum.

Many of the comments below speak of Orfoz as one of the - if not THE - best fish restaurant they've ever been to, and I'm inclined to agree. When we visited the place we managed to get one of the tables directly next to the street, so we could look at the sea while having dinner. They didn't bring a menu or something but offered a selection of small but very tasty fish dishes that we could share. We liked this concept a lot because that way you get to taste a lot of different things and can always skip a course if you don't like it (we had - total of 8 or 9 of these small courses). They also offered an excellent selection of Turkish wines.

We enjoyed our visit a Orfoz very much; it was the best dinner that we had during our holiday and indeed one of the best fish restaurants we've ever been to. Of course, this quality has its price. We payed 430 TL (140 Euros) for dinner for two including wine and water, which is quite a considerable amount. Still, if you're willing to pay this price it'll be quite an experience.

I am well travelled and so is my palette, so I have not put up my tittle to this review lightly! Having eaten seafood in the worlds best restaurants from the UK to Sri Lanka to Thailand to Bahamas this is the the best I have ever eaten ! There is no menu, you eat what's been caught that day and what's in season. We had squid, scallops, mussels, sea urchin, prawn, oysters. If this place served Italian wine it would be the best seafood restaurant in the world. Family run, family recipes, with 2 brothers cooking both culinary geniuses! I will come back to Bodrum just to eat here again!

The dinner we had at Orfoz last weekend was fabulous, though very much at the pricey end. However if once in a while you could spare some extra dollars for a great dinner experience; Orfoz is definitely one of the places it would worth spending . The selection of wine they offer; all locally produced, is very wide. The menu goes like a tasting menu mostly comprised of shell fish and various extravagant sea food dishes starting with a taste of delicious seafood soup. Make sure you leave room for the home made deserts, they are to die for !
