Reviewed 20 June 2012

We stayed in the Bodrum Hilton in June 2012. I had been quite stressed to book a holiday this time since we have an 8-month-old daughter with us and it was important to make right choice. After eliminating many hotels in Bodrum, I was not sure whether to book Rixos or Hilton. I phoned both hotels and in the end due to a very welcoming and reassuring conversation with Zeynep Hanim, I decided to go for the Hilton Hotel and I was very pleased that we made the right desicion.
I would like to give a little bit of detail hoping to help other travellers. After a transfer from the airport taking just about 40 min, we were greeted in the hotel lobby with smiling staff. Checking in was simple and the view from the lobby is really breathtaking. We were talked through all the aspects of the hotel, before being showed to our room.

The room was very big overlooking the sea, very picturesque. The room included a sofa and table as well as a king size bed, baby cot, bath tub, shampoo and all necessary stuff for our daughter was there. We said' wow' after a long tiring trip. There was also tea and coffee making facilities in the room as well as large LCD TV. The walk-in shower was also excellent, with the shower being very powerful and hot quickly. There is a free safe in the wardrobe to put all your valuables into. Housekeeping was also very good, with fresh towels twice a day if you needed them!

The food in the main buffet restaurant was excellent and varied. It was not ordinary like many all inclusive hotels. Congragulations to the Kitchen Team!! Also the Team was very helpful since I sometimes asked for unsalted boiled patato or grilled chicken etc for our baby which were out of their routines. Especially thank you to Unal and Ozan in the restaurant for their excellent service and turkish tea in the 'thermos' all the time!

The free wireless Internet throughout the hotel is good in the lobby and patchy in the room, but it might be intended in the public areas.

The beach and sea is like a private pool or an aquarium - you can see fish swimming around you, and the view is really lovely. We were quite happy for our daughter to have her first experience with the sea here.

The only downsides we had were that the bed linen was a bit thick and warm, and the bed a bit soft for our tastes. The air-conditioning wasn't very strong, but we found out on the last day that this was a fault in our room, so we didn't give them chance to fix it.

Other minor things were that we also struggled a bit to find an outdoor seat in the restaurant where we were free of smoke, which would be a recommendation for the hotel. Also, the hotel felt a bit more businessy rather than holiday-y on the last day when a business conference started and the company guests came.

In general, the service that we got was superb - the staff tried to help us with anything we asked for, especially for our daughter. They were genuinely friendly and helpful, for example Sinem in consierge came to the door to say goodbye when we were leaving. We felt we were leaving family home.
We will definitely be going back one day to this hotel as it is one of the best we have ever stayed in. We would recommend it to anyone, especially with a family.

Room Tip: Room 6302 if you can get.

Thank you for motivating us to do better and better every day. Your comments about the restaurant atmosphere and ventilation system has been shared with related teams. However, please kindly let us know before your next visit and we will do our best to make your bed up with a different type to ensure your comfort. We look forward to welcoming you back in the near future for many more happy days with your family.

We've stayed in Hilton Turkbuku around 2 weeks. It's the ideal place for the vacation with family. I have to mention that it's quite far from the bodrum center but if you want to relax in quite atmosphere it's the right place. The food was very delicious. Bravo chef and kitchen. The service staff was very helpful and smily.
Many thanks to restaurant staff and entertainment staff for their great job.
About the sea, in one word it's amazing. You can have the diving and other water sport activities. The only Bad experience we had is the photo shooting. It's 10 euro per picture and so that we haven't been informed about that prior and have been shooted by photographers without any notice, and at the end the invoice was around 500 euro. Don't get into it.

Room Tip: All rooms are quite big and you can easily stay with one kid so that each standard guest room has Th...

Myself and two friends went to enjoy a relaxing 6 day break in Turkey in June and have to say were totally satisfied with our choice of hotel and Location. The Hilton bodrum turbuku is an amazing hotel and one of the best I've stayed in so far. The views are picturesque, the standards are high and the service is first class. You will not be disappointed with the food as you'll get a huge variety of food choices 3 times a day and also snacks at the poolside bar...with icecream just when you need it.

The location is perfect if you want a relaxing retreat away from the main touristy parts...but there is a shuttle bus that goes to Bodrum city centre at regular times of the day which is about a half hours journey so you don't miss out.

A special thanks to the entertainment staff for making our stay fun and enjoyable, Sinan, Onur (Raj), Nil to name a few, but also the friendly service we received from other hotel staff definitely helped to make our stay more welcome!

We booked the Hilton bodrum because we couldn't get booked into the Hilton dalaman as it was full. We looked at the reviews for Hilton bodrum and agreed it was good value, let's give it a go! I travelled with my husband and four year old son. We stayed for 11 days - 6/5/12-17/5/12

We booked it on Saturday morning and arrived on Sunday afternoon. We used a private transfer company (booking the VIP transfer) 'turkey hoppa' it was an excellent service and we will always use them from now on. When we arrived at the hotel we were greated by two lovely ladies who swept our son of his feet, showering him in attention! He loved it :-)

Our room was of very high quality, enough space and immaculate! We did have issues with air conditioning but after complaining for four days it was finally sorted.

The whole resort is beautiful, everywhere you look is marble and the decor is stunning. The beach is exceptional, with sun beds on the sand and on decked areas. It is perfect for children due to the shallow still water and soft sand... Perfect! There is also a beach bar and a beach side restaurant. If you have small children then take some bread down to the furthest point on the beach... Feeding the fish was fantastic!

The kids club was superb, the team were all exceptionally dedicated. Two of the staff Si and Nil speak great English. The other girls speak Turkish but they had a fantastic bond with our son. Kids clubs are extremely important to us, and I go to great lengths to research them. This was the best one we have found - our son loved spending time with all the staff and we felt he was extremely safe. One concern which I have raised with the entertainment manger was about signing kids in and out. This wasn't a big problem as most of the time our son was the only child there, however in peak season this would be something I would want.

Due to being out of season the entertainment was limited - this suited us perfectly. Si the manager has great taste, providing classy and classic evening entertainment in the lobby bar as well as superb music around the whole hotel. It was like we had choosen it ourselves - right up our street ;-)

The pools were varied, clean but a bit chilly - but very refreshing. Once you get in its fine!

The spa was stunning, fantastic facilities too - probably the best I have seen in the world. Like another review states - the manager in the spa is far to 'hard sale' after experiencing a stunning Turkish bath and full body massage he tried to get us to sign up to a course of treatments that would of cost us around £1000!!! I think the Hilton need to address this as it really left a sour taste. We were also told that we couldn't charge to our room and had to pay there and then. I would highly recommend the Turkish bath and massage, just try to avoid the spa manager!

The food was stunning, we are real foodies and have enjoyed many good restaurants... This was right up there with the best. The choice was so varied that in 11 days we didn't notice a repeat dish - just gorgeous! Not too happy with the 7lbs I gained!!!

We have told so many people about this little gem, although I would prob stick to low season as we loved having the hotel to ourselves. What really made this trip was the hotel staff. Every single person in the hotel we came across was friendly and professional. We are in love with Hilton turkbuku and are already looking to go back in October.

When we left I cried! Embarrassing, but just shows you what a wonderful time we had - and what a superb relationship we built with the incredible staff and stunning environment.

Room Tip: The sea view is worth the extra money... What a view!

We stayed at Hilton Bodrum in late May 2012 for 4 nights. As a Gold HHonors members, we were promptly upgraded to a junior suite, which has a very nice view of the hotel's own bay and open sea.
Since our time there was off-season the hotel was not crowded at all and we had a wonderful holiday there. The hotel's beach is located on a bay which exclusively belongs to Hilton's customers and and there exists no access to it from outside. And because the bay is a small one, you it feels as if you are swimming in a very large pool! The hotel serves on full-board plus concept which includes breakfast, lunch and dinner with tea&cookie and ice cream serving on the poolside from 12.00 to 17.00. Although the hotel was not very crowded when we were there, the open buffett meals were amazing. Gaining weight is guarenteed! BUT, I must stress that alcoholic beverage selection was very poor. It is reasonable to make it limited from the hotel's point of view (because of extremely high taxes on them in Turkey), but offering only one type of beer (Efes Pilsen's most regular beer) and the cheapest (both in economic and quality terms) white&red wines (Doluca Asma) was well below what was expected from Hilton.
The hotel seemed a popular choice among families with children, so those who want less noise should consider this.
The staff was very friendly; the cleanliness of the property in general, the room, its bathroom was perfect as it is always at Hiltons. The entertaining team, led by a very friendly guy Sinan, took care of every single customer and we had great time at the lobby in the nights with the events organized by them.
In overall, despite my dissatisfaction with the beverages, I think the hotel still deserves 5 star.

Thank you for a great and detailed review. It is a pleasure to see your high ratings and nice comments. However, we regret to learn of your dissatisfaction with the beverage selection in our hotel. The beverages we serve are not selected solely on price basis but the value for the price. We have studied past years' consumption records and obtained preferences from guests/acquintances to chose the beverages we serve this year. We would also like to inform you that we offer a wide variety of beverages to our guests at very reasonable prices. Your kind comments will be carefully taken into consideration during next year's planning. We hope to have the chance to welcome you back soon.
