Wow is a good place to start.
Found this place by chance towards the end of our holiday.
Despite it being beside bar street the fact it is down a street made it nice and quiet.
The staff were very welcoming and kind as well as speaking very good English.
They did not try and hassle you to come in like most places do. They let the food do the talking.
The place has a very nice feel about it unlike some places with plastic chairs and tables with people dancing around you.
It was a refreshing break with a lot of character and good decor.
From speaking to the manager he had informed me that he had travelled the world to get an idea of what makes a restaurant good. This really does reflect the place as it is a class above anywhere else we ate.
Although if you compare it may seem expensive if you put it into context of a meal back home it's very fairly priced.
For example our first visit we had 4 drinks, 2 mains, 2 sides and a desert (along with coffee on the house) for 100 lira which is around £30. Considering that on if the mains was one of the most expensive items on the menu it was very reasonable.
The second time we had 2 mains, 2 sides and a bottle of house wine for the same amount.
I'd personally recommend the meat board as it was all beautifully cooked and presented.
Also one of us is a fussy eater and she thoroughly enjoyed her pasta dish.
We recommended this to our friends at the hotel and friends we had met from other hotels. All of whom thoroughly enjoyed it.
This place is a true gem for Gumbet and Turkey.
It comes highly recommended from both of us.
Fraser and Steph.
