“THE BEST TURKISH HOLIDAY YET!!”
Reviewed 16 October 2013

After getting to Nagi beach late at night and a small mix up on our room we thought we were not going to enjoy the stay. However this was WRONG!!!! Yes its a 3 star and the rooms are basic. But the staff the location the atmosphere are all 5 STAR!!!
we were going to try different restaurants every night but after seeing the staff cleaning the equipment and tasting the food (Especially the set menu... Fantastic value) we ate at the Daisy Restaurant (Nagi Beaches restaurant) every night and most lunches. The breakfasts were great, we had a freshly cooked omelettes every morning followed by pancakes freshly cut toast and choice of cold meats and spreads ... o and boiled eggs.
The staff really made you feel at home and apart from some language barriers (we need to learn more Turkish) the Turks had a great sense of humour playing jokes and even joining in a game of cards then showing us tricks
Mustaff ,Faruk, the restaurant manager and other restaurant staff(sorry forgot their names)were brilliant always ready to have a chat. and joke and very welcoming
We had a few days on the beach and by the pool. The staff would come up ask us what we wanted and get us drinks and food....Great Service and with a smile no extra cost.
There was an old man cleaning around the pool and gardens all day most days, it was spotless the pool side toilets always looked like they had just been cleaned every time we used them.
It was my wife's 1st time in Turkey, but as soon as we got home she was checking when we could go back. Neither of us cannot recommend this hotel enough.
We had to arrange our transfers back to the airport when we asked the receptionist for advice he just picked up the hotel phone and sorted it for us. One night it got a bit cold so we asked for an extra blanket and it was supplied straight away.
Although this was rated 3 star we had fresh clean sheets and towels every day. cannot fault the cleaner, she even put the rose petals on our bed on our last night.
Again I would say the rooms are basic and dated but with fresh linen we only used the room to sleep clean and change in so the room were great.
Tips:
# If you are not party goer and want quieter rooms away from the noise of Bar Street (music can go on till 3am) ask for pool side which are rooms 101 -110, 201-210 or 301 - 310.
# I would recommend, see Harry (Baba Hotel next door by beach) for any trips he came recommended and his boat trip was amazing.
# Fancy a bit of british food and a LARGE steak sandwich (tuna and cheese good as well) Try Sammys Go out of Nagi turn left go up hill and next door to supermarket - his wife is British and does a great fish and chips we have been told.
#Just put your hand up in the street and the small shuttle bus will take you straight to Bodrum for 3TL - Great value
#ONE WORD OF CAUTION - Don't drink at the bar LMT (out of Nagi turn right up the street and its on the left) It had great music and welcoming got us 4 drinks told us not to worry about paying until the end then slapped a 72 TL bill on us. We paid that at the Nagi for 2 x4 course dinners a and drinks for that. The staff were just ripping people off, most were leaving looking like we did ripped off. One of the staff (looked like a short Bart Simpson with long spiked hair which made him look about 3 inches taller so almost got to 5foot 1 inch)tried to show his dancing skills off although he thought he was the bees knees he looked more like he was being tazard by the Polis!!!

Really hope we can get Back to the Nagi !!!!

Room Tip: As close to Pool Side as possible Lower numbered 101 - 110; 201 - 210; 301 - 310 We have scored spa...

Came back this morning after lovely 2 weeks. We paid extra for pool/garden room and was the best money we spent, great for taking a drink back (and breakfast as we did) and sit and watch the world go by looking out to the pool and beach. Another plus no noise from night clubs unless you are sitting on patio also no steps as you are on beach level (36 if you go to reception and bar street so depends which you use most!!!!).
Rooms cleaned and fresh towels everyday by very friendly staff. Breakfast very good as was restaurant food but we found evening menu a bit more pricey than some others. Elder bar staff very good, better than younger ones. Fantastic location for all round holiday, would recommend.

Room Tip: Without a doubt garden room. Feels more spacious because door and window at each end. Terrace gives...

I have stayed at this hotel several times and think its time I wrote a review. Firstly the location is fantastic you are right in the middle of gumbet! Everything is close by. bar street, shops, restaurants, and of course the beach! The rooms are very clean, towels changed every day, and cleaned. The food is really good and the staff are great. I think this hotel is fantastic value for money and in my opinion suits couples, groups, and family's. I have already booked for June 2014 because I think it will be busy due to hotel next door going all inclusive a lot of the guests I spoke to we're going to book so I thought I better get my room. Anyway you won't be disappointed booking this hotel it's perfect.... Happy holidays.

Stayed at the Nagi beach for 2 weeks at the beginning of September. The rooms are quite basic as in most hotels in the area, but are of a decent size for 2 people with twin beds, a sofa, built-in wardrobe and dressing table unit. Enough hanging and drawer space for 2 people. The maid service was very good with the rooms cleaned every day, towels changed every day and the sheets changed regularly. Maintenance was a bit slow but got done eventually.

The main problem if you have any mobility issues are the steps. The reception is on street level, which room-wise is Floor 4. The pool, bar and restaurant is on the ground (beach) level, so if you are at the top you have to walk down 4 large flights of stairs to go for breakfast, and then up again to return to your room. On check-in the manager was in reception and he kindly moved us to the 1st floor which just left us 3 small steps to negotiate, which wasn't too bad, although initially we still had to go down the 4 flights to get to the room. The safe deposit boxes are in reception, so one of us still had to go up now and again. There are a few ground floor garden rooms which have a nice terrace overlooking the pool, which I believe you can pay extra for.

The hotel is just off bar street, and the music does go on until 4/5 a.m., but once inside our rooms we could not hear anything. Also, when you are down on the beach or in the restaurant you cannot hear the music, and we were never disturbed by it.

The food in the restaurant is superb. Breakfast is buffet style Turkish fare, with hard-boiled eggs, tomatoes, cheese, and cold meat, bread and jam etc., but also available to order are omelettes with cheese/tomato, fried eggs and pancakes, which were lovely. The chefs were always very willing to prepare any combination you requested. The snack bar was open most of the day and you could order food from anywhere you were sitting, including on the beach. The evening menu was extensive, and we ate here many times during our stay and the food was always excellent. There are tables on the beach in the evening which is a nice touch. The head waiter, Mustafa, was fantastic, had a great sense of humour, spoke excellent English and was extremely efficient. We found almost all of the staff to be helpful and friendly.

The location was brilliant, right on the beach with a multitude of other bars and restaurants in both directions. A really nice steak house at the far end of the beach to the left of the hotel, where you got a starter, steak, and a half-bottle of wine or a pint of beer for 25 Turkish lira, and the food was excellent. They do get busy so you may have to wait 5-10 minutes for a table, but it is worth it.

There are free sunbeds on the beach, with nice comfy mattresses, and a waiter comes round regularly to see if you require drinks or food, but is not pushy. The sea was lovely, quite shallow for a good distance, and very sandy underfoot. The pool was rather cold, so found the sea the better option.

Drinks at the hotel are a lot more expensive than in town, but were near enough the same price in all the beach bars and restaurants.(8 lira for a pint as opposed to 4 in town). Good measure of spirits with a mixer for 10 lira.

Overall had a great holiday, and would go back to this hotel were it not for all the steps. It you do not have any mobility issues would definitely recommend Nagi Beach.

I picked the Nagi beach because of its location, However I was a bit concerned after I booked it about people complaining about the noise from the Bars,
When we arrived we where on the second floor and our room faced the pool and beach which was good but the balcony's are very small and you could hear the music till 3am, but hey this is not the hotels fault and we where on holiday so we pushed this to one side, Because of the small balcony and my hubby liking a cigarette we asked if we could move to a garden / pool room which have larger balcony's with chairs, this option was available but they charged us an extra £55 which we did not mind, so that was a big plus,

Rooms are basic, ours was quite large with white walls, wardrobe, sofa bed, bathrooms need up dating, but for what we paid at the location they are at, I would not dream of complaining, plus we did not go away to sit in the room.

Pool area and Private beach where kept clean at all time, location excellent all round,

Food at the hotel restaurant Excellent with 15% off the food bill
Staff again Excellent, they where really good to get on with, even if we did not eat in the hotel restaurant they did not mind as we always went back for a drink, AA+++++ for the staff.

would stay again!!!

Room Tip: pick the Garden / pool room bigger balcony's

This is our first visit to Gumbet and to the Nagi beach hotel which was recommended to us by Jane Speke owner if LMT Pub the promo rooms are basic but the level of cleanliness is excellent with maid service every day you can upgrade to a room on the ground level overlooking the pool and the beach. The Nagi beach is central to all the clubs and pubs in the area it is not far from bar street but once in your room you can not here the music. If you go down the street to your right you will come to the LMT Pub it is worth a visit to this bar the music cater for all and the staff dance on the bar giving a very good show the people if Gumbet are very friendly. If you go on the beach the sun beds are free and the sea is wonderful for swimming in, there are various people selling there wears up and down the beach but the one I recommend is the person that gives massage 30TL £10 for half body this is wonderful he will ask if you would like back and neck cracking once this is down all the tension disappears. We will be returning next year and will definitely staying in the Nagi Beach Hotel our stay 3/10/13 to 18/10/13 the weather still hot at this time of year

This was our second stay at Nargi beach hotel basic hotel but very clean sheets and towels changed daily and room kept spotless, staff were friendly and good variety of food for breakfast
The location is brilliant right on the beach the only negative is the music from bar street which stops around 5 am but after the first night we got used to it.
ground floor patio rooms are the better choice the face the pool and beach although shaded by the trees.
hassling from the shops and bars has calmed down since last year although once in the shops its a different matter.
would recommend for any one but a bit hilly if you have difficulty in walking. to book excursions try next door to the hotel very nice couple and we would recommend the Colombian restaurant and Red Dragon to eat. and no name bar for a drink very friendly bar staff but not over the top as some of the bars can be.

Room Tip: Patio rooms are the best overlooking the pools.
