After getting to Nagi beach late at night and a small mix up on our room we thought we were not going to enjoy the stay. However this was WRONG!!!! Yes its a 3 star and the rooms are basic. But the staff the location the atmosphere are all 5 STAR!!!
we were going to try different restaurants every night but after seeing the staff cleaning the equipment and tasting the food (Especially the set menu... Fantastic value) we ate at the Daisy Restaurant (Nagi Beaches restaurant) every night and most lunches. The breakfasts were great, we had a freshly cooked omelettes every morning followed by pancakes freshly cut toast and choice of cold meats and spreads ... o and boiled eggs.
The staff really made you feel at home and apart from some language barriers (we need to learn more Turkish) the Turks had a great sense of humour playing jokes and even joining in a game of cards then showing us tricks
Mustaff ,Faruk, the restaurant manager and other restaurant staff(sorry forgot their names)were brilliant always ready to have a chat. and joke and very welcoming
We had a few days on the beach and by the pool. The staff would come up ask us what we wanted and get us drinks and food....Great Service and with a smile no extra cost.
There was an old man cleaning around the pool and gardens all day most days, it was spotless the pool side toilets always looked like they had just been cleaned every time we used them.
It was my wife's 1st time in Turkey, but as soon as we got home she was checking when we could go back. Neither of us cannot recommend this hotel enough.
We had to arrange our transfers back to the airport when we asked the receptionist for advice he just picked up the hotel phone and sorted it for us. One night it got a bit cold so we asked for an extra blanket and it was supplied straight away.
Although this was rated 3 star we had fresh clean sheets and towels every day. cannot fault the cleaner, she even put the rose petals on our bed on our last night.
Again I would say the rooms are basic and dated but with fresh linen we only used the room to sleep clean and change in so the room were great.
# If you are not party goer and want quieter rooms away from the noise of Bar Street (music can go on till 3am) ask for pool side which are rooms 101 -110, 201-210 or 301 - 310.
# I would recommend, see Harry (Baba Hotel next door by beach) for any trips he came recommended and his boat trip was amazing.
# Fancy a bit of british food and a LARGE steak sandwich (tuna and cheese good as well) Try Sammys Go out of Nagi turn left go up hill and next door to supermarket - his wife is British and does a great fish and chips we have been told.
#Just put your hand up in the street and the small shuttle bus will take you straight to Bodrum for 3TL - Great value
#ONE WORD OF CAUTION - Don't drink at the bar LMT (out of Nagi turn right up the street and its on the left) It had great music and welcoming got us 4 drinks told us not to worry about paying until the end then slapped a 72 TL bill on us. We paid that at the Nagi for 2 x4 course dinners a and drinks for that. The staff were just ripping people off, most were leaving looking like we did ripped off. One of the staff (looked like a short Bart Simpson with long spiked hair which made him look about 3 inches taller so almost got to 5foot 1 inch)tried to show his dancing skills off although he thought he was the bees knees he looked more like he was being tazard by the Polis!!!
Really hope we can get Back to the Nagi !!!!
