“Fantastic holiday Ann D Bristol”
Reviewed 12 September 2013

first time in turkey went with two other families 7 adults 8 teenagers aged from 12 to 19 probably the most friendliest country we have been to. The hotel was really nice the pool was big and all one level also had a baby pool . Rooms were cleaned every day all staff and cleaners really smiley and friendly. The mulberry restaurant attached to hotel was reasonably priced we ate there quite often especially at lunch all of the food was really nice i think we tried most of the menu. The staff played any football match on the tv if you asked them as all of the boys are into football and also free wifi. Peter behind the bar was really funny the boys were sat by the bar most nights havin a laugh with him and mufassa. As one of my daughters is in a wheelchair the hotel is disabled friendly however i did struggle with the shower but after speaking to one of the managers they are going to order in a wheelchair shower chair for next year which will make things a lot easier. We also went to the columbia steak house which is across the road from the hotel we just kept going back the food was excellent and all of the staff were very funny and kind. There was also another very good restuarant we went to called jacks place it was only a 5 minute walk from the hotel and it was definetley worth it the food was excellent and the staff were very entertaining. Overall lovely people, great holiday and will definetley be coming back next year.

stayed here in august and had a lovely week the only downs were the people getting up at 630 to put out towels and then turning up at 10 or 11, and the hotels bar yes the hotel is far enough
away from bar street not to hear the music .but the hotels bar makes up for it .many people didn't come back to the hotel to after 2am so of course they wouldn't hear the noise as it was turned off at 2am its supposed to be a famiiy hotel not a clubbers place .also they need to change the cleaners they are useless

Room Tip: get a room set back from the pool they are quieter

Recently stayed here for 12days.. average basic hotel at best. Seen great reviews and wonder what the fuss is all about.? Hotel rooms barely cleaned by our cleaner.. only changed the sheets x2 after we took them off ourselves. Floor never cleaned and feet constantly dirty. Despite complaining just gave up in the end. Live wires hung down in bathroom which sparked and blew electricity( whilst in the shower). Took them 5 days to cut them (which they left in the bathroom),and cover with tape. Air con quite expensive and costs £45 for x2 weeks. Music on in hotel all night so don't expect an odd early night as still booming at 2am!!! Food nice and fresh in the hotel, slightly more expensive than other resturants in area but still very cheap to eat there. Pool ok. Hotel close to Bar street, shops and beach. Get what you pay for, as very cheap to stay here. Doubt we will ever return here as other cheap hotels within area and with better standards.

Room Tip: Do not stay in block D as over the music and by bar. Will get no sleep.

We're just home from staying at this hotel and we were very happy indeed. We went with our two children aged 6 & 9 and they both loved it too. The pool was perfect for them as they could swim and the baby pool was lovely for me who can swim but just loved lazing in the shallow water. The rooms were basic but clean - although I didn't like the balcony on ours as it was very very small, and the floor was just wooden slats which were loose... we didn't let the kids out onto it. Some days we ate the Turkish breakfast which was really good, and on other days we paid for a cooked breakfast, which was equally as nice. The Mulberry restaurant attached to the hotel does lovely food. The hotel is in a great position away from the bars, not too far though. Beach is a 5 min walk. Three families that we met are booking up for next year as it's so nice and friendly, so you never know we may be back if we decide to go back to Turkey next year, if not we will return at some stage, thats a guarantee!

Just got back after 7 night stay. Hotel is in great location far enough away from night clubs on Bar Street but close to beach (5 min walk) and shops 100 yards away. Our room was at front of hotel and we didnt get disturbed sleep on any night despite overlooking road. Rooms are basic but very clean and we had no problems with the shower. Pool area is great and despite the usual crew reserving sunbeds in the early hours and not using them till lunch time we usually managed to find two sunbeds together. Breakfast is good but if you want a cooked breakfast this can be had for about 5 lira. We ate at the hotel twice in the evening and the food was perfect. Staff were all very friendly and nothing was to much trouble. We purchased air con (35 lira) and safe deposit box (10 lira) when we arrived. This is a fantastic hotel in a great location that would be hard to beat.

Room Tip: i dont think you would be disappointed with any room.

Me and my fiancè stayed here from 5th August for 2 weeks and we absolutely loved staying at this hotel! We loved it that much we're returning next year :) The room was basic, but that's all you need when you're not in it much and the price you pay. The staff were really nice, they always had time to make conversation with you and made you feel welcome. Before we went I read on here about people putting their towels out really early in the morning, but when we were there only a few beds were taken before half 8 - 9. A couple of days we went out until the afternoon and still got a bed when we came back. On the days we stayed around the pool there were always a few beds free. The hotel is located in a perfect place if you don't want to hear any of the music from bar street, and be right next to everything. Even though bar street is only a 5 minute walk away you can't hear a sound at the hotel. The beach is only a 2 minute walk away. The restaurant attached to the hotel is a little bit more expensive to eat and drink than everywhere else but definitely worth it! The only thing I didn't like was the breakfast, but I am a fussy eater anyways. Someone put a picture on here and I thought that was just half of the breakfast, but that is exactly what you get. Only when I got home I saw people on here saying that you could ask for cereal or toast (not sure if you have to pay extra). If you like steak my fiancé would definitely recommend trying Columbia opposite the hotel. Can't wait to see you all next year! :D

We just had a 10 day stay at this lovely little hotel and really had a great time!

The hotel was very welcoming and as soon as we arrived and checked in we were given a glass of lemonade at reception and then taken to our room. Room was standard size as it was B&B so only had a fridge (which didn't work too well - but was adequate!) and had nice comfy beds, a good size bathroom and a balcony overlooking the pool. Everything was cleans and tidy and the maids came in everyday to wash the floors and empty the bins etc. They did change the beds throughout our stay but this wasn't everyday. Towels were only changed once which was a bit disappointing!

Location-wise the hotel is right in the middle of everything and is a 5 min walk to the beach and about 30seconds from a bar/restaurant!

Also the restaurant attached to the hotel, The Mulberry was fantastic. They served great food all day and Peter behind the bar was very entertaining! Had many a chat with him in the evenings after we had come back from dinner!

Breakfast is standard Turkish so meat/cheese/tomatoes/cucumber and bread mainly! But was nice and I think some people did ask for cereal which they also had if needed!

Pool was great, good size with an adults and kids pool. Only annoying thing was people putting out towels ridiculously early in the morning. The first week and a bit odour holiday was fine but the last day especially, towels had been put out at 5am! The hotel does have a sign about no towels before 8am but this was not enforced at all. We had no trouble at the beginning of the holiday though and would just put our towels down on the way to breakfast.

Also restaurants we went to in the area were, The Columbia, Mistral Bay, Windy Bay, Carpe Diem (also good for us beds down the beach during the day), Annalivia (our favourite!), Saray Zetas, and we went to bodrum one night also! And one day we went on the boat trip provided by the hotel - 60 lira all inclusive (drinks and lunch) and stopped off at some beautiful places and went snorkelling! So much fun! Definitely the best day we had there!

Overall a great little hotel in gumbet where everyone is so friendly and great value for money! :)
