I normally dont wanna right really bad reviews but this hotel sucks! Small pool, nothing to do at the hotel and bad food. The staff isnt very friendly either so I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone. Our AC was bloken so it sprayed water over our beds the first 10 days (!) and though we complained every day they didnt fix it properly until my wife went out to the reception night number 10 and layed down on a sofe and sayed that she wouldnt move until they had the AC repaired...
The view we had was over a dumpsite where homeless people used drugs during night, and Your couldnt go to sleep before killing atleast 5 cockroaches per night.

One day we went to the sister-hotel, Paloma Beach Apartments, and that looked like heaven on earth!
We promised ourselfes that we are coming back to Gumbet as its a great place but never ever to Paloma hotell but Paloma Beach Apartments, aka paradise!!!

Room Tip: To choose a good room, go to Paloma Beach Apartments ;-)

Small rooms. AC is defenitely needed at a cost of additional 5 EUR/day. Safety box is 2 EUR/day. Low quality of breakfast dinner, not a lot to choose from and same everyday. Unfirendly staff- they don't know anything about the area, they don't wanna answer questions they just wanna sell. This is a hotel where you are not allowed to bring food/drinks from outside and if you dont spend at the hotel they will not be friendly.
Not close to the beach and you the hotel is located oa hill so you will have to "climb" up and down whenever you go to the beach. Close to restaurants and pubs though.

Booked the hotel on a charterflight with Spies-rejser (DK)
At the pool is a bar and the loudspeaker on the bardisk is facing the poolarea.
The hotel is scaring all the guest to the beach by playing loud music all day.(10 -17)
This loud music is not according to the hotels own website describtion.
Forget to read a book and relax at the pool.

Stayed in this hotel in July and have nothing bad to say. Excellent location 5 mins one way from top of strip 5 mins other way bottom of strip, 10 mins walk to beach. Rooms small but for two people fine, excellent shower always plenty of hot water. We were at back of hotel really quiet but be prepared for mozzies lots of greenery and we had a cat with three kittens lovely to sit on balcony and watch them play.
Maid was excellent cleaned room every day with fresh towels and plenty of toilet rolls. We took our own kettle and cups and every day she washed them up even when I told her not to, lovely woman she even tidyed our shoes up and put them into pairs.
Air con and safety deposit box extra but you really do need them. Bar staff and reception staff really nice and always cheerful.
All in all had a brillant stay and would not hesitate to go back again.

Lived one week in the end of June 2012 and can just recommend Paloma if you arent a poolhanger.
Breakfast is about what you get in budget-hotels. Remember: BREAKFAST IS NO BIG DEAL IN TURKEY! Nothing wrong with the staff. Most of them are very young boys and may act a bit rude to blondies. Small rooms and very small balcony yes but refurbished and clean. Beds are ok, but small. Lived on 2.nd floor and had no problem with noice nor with burglars.

Room Tip: Try to avoid rooms on groundfloor.

We found check in a very slow process and had our suitcase carried to our room by a young lad who looked like he hadnt washed in a week or two.
Room itself was acceptable, a bit on the small side but clean. Window opened straight on to the road and a noisy air conditioner for a different room right outside the window.
Air con is available but is expensive and you cant really be without it if you wish to sleep at night.
Safe available but is in reception which is a bit of a pain.
Spent about two minuites in the pool as it was disgustingly dirty with a very dark scum mark all around the edge.
Breakfast? Forget it, went once, never again. Terrible.
Arrived back in room one evening to find my camera smashed to bits, assume the maid dropped it. What she was doing near it anyway I dont know.
Fridge in room but was pointless because as soon as you leave the room, the electricity goes off.

Like the title please don't take any notice of the bad reviews
This is a lovely little hotel. Staff are lovely
The hotel has been recently refurbished so looks lovely fresh and clean.
Our room was nice, cleaned everyday.....just the right size, you only sleep there so no need for a huge room to rattle about in is there!!
In a great spot , everything you need is accessible.
Food was nice too, but lots of choice if you would rather eat out of the hotel.
I would defiantly go back as it was good spot , clean, and great value for money.
