We have just returned from the Parkim Palas Gumbet, Turkey, we had a lovely holiday, the hotel is very clean and plesently laid out ,the gardens are beautiful, and everything in surrounding gumbet is very easily reached. The staff at the Parkim palas are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble, the food which is of course different to english food is very nice,I like to try different foods my children on the other hand didn,t and they were offered a childrens menu which they were pleased about.my children loved the swimming pool and were very taken to the poolside waiters and bar staff, special thanks to Amed and Ramazan for all their hard work and always so cheerful, we will definately be coming back next year Iam already looking on the net for may 08,Thanks everyone at Parkim palas for a briilliant holiday.Carolyn and Lee from Brighton

I am getting ready to pack my suitcase and head off to the lovely resort of Gumbet where i'll be staying at The Hotel Parkim Palace.
Ive been to this hotel several times so i know to expect a warm welcome, a spotless room and beautifully maintained gardens! Also it's located right on the beach so, not far to walk after a night sampling Turkish Raki!
The staff are extremly pleasant and very helpful. Within seconds of reporting something like a spent lightbulb they are there ready to put it right. Most of them speak pretty good English too!
I have to say that the food is not fantastic. The meze is always something to look forward to though, plenty of fresh vegetables, which they grow on their own farms, and its always very plentiful.
I also have to say i also applaude the fact that there are security guards patrolling the gardens 24 hrs a day. There are afew occasions when, being that we are a group of women, we sometimes get split up and have to make our way back, alone, to the rooms. It is pretty dark in the gardens at night but the presence of the security guards helps to provide a safer atmosphere.
So basically, if the major factors of your holiday are based on: Clean rooms, good service and an excellent location, id definatley recommend the Parkin Palace. It may not be a 5star hotel but it's staff and location certainly help make up for that.

Me and My boyfriend stayed at this hotel and we were both enloyed our stay. Our room was of an appropriate size for the two of us, it had two single beds that could easily be put together. It also had a dressing table, wardrobe, draws, bedside table, and medium sized table with two chairs. It had a balcany although this wasn't that big. The airconditioning in our room was fantastic, infact i woke up a few times too cold and we had to change the settings. There were two English channels on the television, MTV and a 24hr news channel. The cleaner came in and changed our sheets and made our beds every day as well as cleaning, and on the last day when we went back into our room after lunch he had made this fantastic arangement of swans and hearts with our towels and there were petals on them, I was amazed. The staff at the holtel were all very friendly and helpfull. The hotel is right on the beach and ypu dont have to pay for sunbeds ether.

The only downsides were that our shower leaked, but this didnt cause us any problems due to the fact that our rooms were cleaned every day. The meals wern't fantastic, they were ok if u are willing to try new things, which luckly me and my boyfriend are. We ate out a few times,

Gumbet it self was great, we loved it and we will definatly go again

Just back from a 2 week half board holiday to Parkim Palace. We were shown to our rooms which were the other side of the beautiful gardens. The rooms we had were small, beds were soIid, the shower didn't work properly and although the air conditioning was free it was blowing warm air. The maid kept the rooms tidy and beds and towels were changed daily. All the staff were so helpful and nice. The hotel was directly on the beach and had beautiful views. Dinner was served from 8pm til 10pm and breakfast was from 8am til 10am.

Thank God Turkey is such a cheap place to eat out as we can honestly say that this hotel or rather the hotels food was an absolute discrace.

I would endorse all the positive comments about the PARKIM PALAS HOTEL. On my second visit to Gumbet in 2005, I picked it out as the best hotel and decided to forget packages next time and do it all myself 'cos the English Package Companies haven't discovered it yet. I would then book the PARK directly on the web.
Quite apart from the Hotel itself, one of their three restaurants - the one on the beach has the best food and service in Gumbet. They also have 2 or 3 good free floorshows every week. Last year we spent 6 of our 14 nights there, and another 6 nights up in town at CHINATOWN- the only place to compare with the PARK This offers the widest choice of Chinese, Indian, Turkish and European meals in Gumbet. The second time you go there you'll feel like a celebrity, and your dinner will become an occasion. Try it and you'll feel fantastic and famous when you leave.
This year, again will be spent only at these two meccas.

I first visited the Parkimpalace htl in 1988 it was fantastic then, clean very friendly and directly on the beach. I have visited Turkey many times since 1988 but still have the desire to go back to the Park Palace - which I have. I have recommended this hotel to so many people, who now go back a couple of times a year every year and just love it - so give it a try you wont be disappointed. Really is the best hotel in Gumbet. The staff and management are wonderful and make sure you have a lovely holiday. The views are really wonderful and the gardens in which the hotel is set are delightful.
