This hotel is just like the photos you will find on the web. Smart, spacious, with tasteful decor and full of charm. It is stylish, and in a quiet location. The latter will be appreciated more if you know Gumbet and just how hectic and loud it can be at night. The hotel is designed for quiet or romantic types who want to relax on the terraces or in the main pool which is only 1.4 meters deep with an additional children's pool. You will find lots of different seating arrangements both inside and outside that form a large part of its restful charm that enables you to find your own space. A large beer, however, is priced at L10.90 (no doubt based on English prices) which means you could buy two in some local bars and still have change. Bar prices currently range from L4 all the way up to L12 and we experienced a similar range in Bodrum despite people saying it was more expensive.
Beds were firm as stated in other reviews, sheets were of quality linen, ironed and clean. Extra pillows and sheets were made available on request. Furniture was in very good order thoughout, and everything worked in our bedroom / shower room including the hair dryer. The half-board accommodation offered sufficient variety on a day-to-day basis, however, the good value of this hotel means that food on offer is worked to a tight budget. The fixed menu each day (not self-service) has two optional main meals plus a set starter and dessert. The soups were very enjoyable, and mains included a variety of meats, fish, and pastas served with small vegetable elements such a mushroom in sauce, mixed frozen veg, and a sprig of bloccoli. Desserts might be ice-cream, cake or melon. We found the three courses sufficient with only two real disappointments over the eleven night stay. A french toast starter and a chicken main dish both lacked flavour or enjoyment, therefore, the Chef's success rate was good and better than some in Turkey. I tried one of the hotel's pasta dishes and this too was good. Hotel guests can expect a 30% discount from the hotel's menu which is separate from the normal half-board offerings. We found the daytime manager Bilal particularly gracious when we required his help. We stayed late June to early July and we would recommend you have air conditioning at £4 night for a good sleep and comfortable evenings. a TV was provided at no extra charge and free Wi-Fi became available in the bar area during our stay. Score 8/10 because of drinks prices, a restricted half-board menu with one or two food disappointments and no alternatives on offer. Still a lovely hotel and would use it again. Full marks for the interior and exterior design.
