Our first time at Agar Apartments and what a fabulous time we had. Staff were so helpful and the complex was very clean. Our room was large for two of us and though basic we had everything we needed. All the food we had there was very good and large portions. The boat trip was amazing and very good value. We met some lovely people who had returned to Agar year after year. Says it all

It was our first stay at the Agar apartments. They were very apartments with all we needed for self catering . The staff were friendly and worked very hard. It was our first time to Gumbet we normally go to Marmaris. I would say if you have any mobility problems then it may not be the place for you as a quite a lot of steep hills.

Just back after two weeks staying at the agar apartments. First time to Turkey, and what a fab introduction. It’s a small family run hotel with self catering apartments, perfect for us. All the staff are so kind and helpful, they can not do enough for you. Lovely little bar, everyone chats to each other and it stays open until the last people go. It’s hidden away down a side street away from the busyness of Gumbet. Easy walk into the town, or £1.50 in a taxi!!! The food was nice at the agar too. There are lots of really nice restaurants nearby to eat out. Alvin, Mary and all the team made our holiday, and we’ve already booked for next year. Fabulous place.

We’ve just arrived home after a weeks stay at the Ağar. What can I say other than extremely good value for money for peak season! We wouldn’t hesitate to book again.
The place is a tucked down a little side street which wasn’t a chore for us. We found some great little eataries whilst out wandering. The food in the hotel was lovely too. Fairly priced. We would of eaten there more if we had booked in for two weeks.
The staff that work at the Ağar are a wicked bunch of people. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble for any of them.
The rooms are to a good standard and very spacious, plenty of room for a family of four to spread out. The rooms were cleaned on a daily basis, sheets and towels changed every third day. The rooms were quite warm but it was August. We paid for the air conditioning which again I didn’t think was badly priced. At five pounds a day for a great nights sleep is nothing.
The pool area is lovely for a chilled out day. We spent a couple of days by the pool. Lovely little sun trap!
This is definitely one of the better self catering holidays we’ve been on for a while. If we hadn’t already booked somewhere for next year the Ağar would be a definite contender.

Back to the wonderful Agar for the second time and knew instantly that we had made the right decision. We never usually go the same place twice but this place has captured our heart and become our Turkish home from home. Lovely to see continuity of staff and like last year they were so welcoming and courteous. It was also nice to see that we were not the only ones who had decided to go back as there were a few familiar faces around the pool. As for practicalities, the rooms are spacious (Room A102 our favourite) and very clean and the beds are quite comfy although could have done with another pillow (I am sure if I had asked they would have given me one). We don't really use the cooking facilities as we prefer to eat out or in the hotel restaurant which does excellent food, but from what I could see, the apartment was well equipped. The pool area is always kept clean and tidy and there are always sunbeds available sometime during the day. A special mention should be made for Nahit and Kenan who really made our holiday special providing bar and restaurant services. They are two fantastic guys and cannot do enough for you. The food and drink are both excellent value for money and the breakfasts are amazing. we went on the boat trip again this year and this was just as good as we had remembered. Whilst we were there it was Eid and the boat had a lot of Turkish people on who were lovely and finished the trip off with fantastic Turkish dancing, Overall we had a wonderful time and I can quite happily say that we have already booked again for the same time next year. Roll on August 2019.

Room Tip: All rooms are nice but we prefer Alo2 as it is ground floor and has a large veranda
