I came here in late June with two of my friends for a fun and relaxing start to the summer, and we got it! The first night we arrived we were shown to a room without a balcony or working air conditioning, however we were so tired we didn't make a fuss. The following morning we mentioned that we had paid for a balcony but not received one and we were immediately moved to a bigger, quieter room on the ground floor with a large balcony, our holiday just got better and better from there. The food was really good considering how little we paid for our trip and the rooms were always clean. There was always a sun lounger free (although that may have been the time of year that we went) and the terrace bar is a lovely place to spend a relaxing evening. The pool looks a little small in some of the pictures on here but it is a pretty decent size and it was never over crowded. We were there a week and during our stay there were two nights of entertainment and, despite a slight technical hitch one of them, they were both brilliant fun! Everyone who works there is SO friendly and always goes the extra mile for you (for example one of my friends loves ketchup and asked for more for the first day or two, from then on every time we sat down for a meal we were brought an extra bowl of ketchup!) We did not venture out of the hotel to often but we did go for a Turkish bath in Gumbet which I would recommend to everyone. We also went to the beach a couple of times, nice but I wouldn't want to spend all day there, and walked along the beach at night for a couple of cocktails and karaoke in one of the beach front bars. The transfer to and from the airport was only around 45 minutes (good for me as I get very travel sick) and the views along the way were amazing so no complaints for that! Overall I was pleasantly surprised at how good the trip was and we had an excellent all inclusive holiday for a very good price, I would 100% recommend it.

Room Tip: The ground floor rooms towards the front of the property are quieter as they are further away from the pool and bar area.

Just got back from Eken resort both I am my friend were very dissapointed this time with the Eken. We went three years ago in May and liked it so much we tried to get booked up in the September but was fully booked! So we had to book at Bella Casa which is probably the worst hotek in Turkey but that's another story!! One of the worse things was the grumpiness of the waiters, i know that they are not allowed to mix with the customers but the bar men last time were so good that we used to stay in hotel up to twelve as they were entertaining. The vey worst thing was the way the waiters took your plate away even when you were still eating!! There were so many times that we had to scream NO I complained to Memet the Manager but you couldnt sit and relax over dinner like you used to. The salds were still good but main courses very little choice. All the drinks were local dinks and the tonic water always flat.

We original got shown to a cell like room with three single beds and no balcony door (a kids room) and i complained so we got out on ground floor where we were before only right near pool table so noisy. All in all the whole hotel needs a face lift very run down although rooms cleaned everyday. The only good thing about this hotel now is becuase it is so near the beach and the restuarants and bars.We had a brill holiday anyway and Simion the young guy who does the turkish bath and Harkon who is the manger of Baths and shop are both very friendly. congrtas harkon on your little baby girl.

Anyhow if you already booked then i'm sure you will have a great time just hold on to your plates at dinner and eat out a few times . i can recommend the Red Dragon (wonderfull steaks) and every type of cuisine also the sister restuarant China Town but both do same thing although Red dragon is nearer and we preferd the atmosphere there better. Make sure you get a leaflet and you will get free transport and a free bottle of wine or 15% off.
Gumbet beach is not very clean and the sea is cold but very refreshing when it gets really hot!

We are going back to Gumbet next year but we won't be going to the Eken.

Room Tip: Probably not ground floor as a bit noisy

could be retitled EGGHEN RESORT as it was chicken twice a day everyday but the hotel staff were brilliant and very helpful..one of the friendliest places we have ever stayed in...unfortunately there was no entertainment at all apart from turkish dancers the day before we came home and the a la carte resturant did not open either but it did not spoil our stay..the funniest moment was when a british couple asked when the entertainment started, expecting 8 or 9pm but the reply was june, what can you say to that...would rate this hotel a 2 star compared to spain but apart from the chicken infatuation here it was a nice stay with a welcome with a smile.
