This Hotel is in the best postion right by the beach, its also clean and friendly hotel the staff were very helpful.Plenty to eat a varied choice to chose from cornflakes to cooked breakfast. We arrived in the evening and we were dealt with a friendly welcome , the staff also took our luggage and showed us to our room. The 2 pools are lovely. me and my partner left in the early hours of the morning to come home (BOO HOO) about 4am, and where given a fresh roll to take with us for the journey to the airport.

we stayedf at this hotel as 2 couples from 13th to 21st june 2013,having been accidentally booked into another hotel by on the beach.we were rather concerned about what we would find here.all i can say is that we were totally amazed by the standards of the royal palm beach.from the moment we arrived very late at night to the time we waved goodbye to the staff our holiday was excellent.our room was first class,i wish i had a shower like that at home.yes,it is true that the meal choice was limited compared to larger hotels, also true that the entertainment was patchy at times again we felt that this was due to the size of the establishment and not due to any lack of effort by the staff who were ll brilliant.we thoroughly enjoyed our chats and banter with everybody from Yussuf, the maitre d and on down to the cleaner who always had a mop in his hand.you can always walk a very short distance,or jump on one of the very cheap and frequent minibuses to find pubs and clubs etc.we prefer a quieter base for our holidays.
in summary i don't think you could ask for more welcoming, polite and obliging staff.
i have read other reviews criticising the lack of linen changes.our towels were changed every day,the sheets were changed at least twice during our seven night stay.the floor in our room was cleaned and mopped every day.it was great to have free air conditioning in the rooms, most other places charge a lot of money for this.the modern room had a flat screen tv,the only english programmes seemed to be news programmes, but hey,do you really go to turkey to watch eastenders?
i managed to lose my room key twice while we were in the grounds, the receptionist's response? "no problem,we have spare.no charge".then when we left she gave each of us a little turkish good luck charm.
all in all we are very glad that on the beach made that mistake and that we ended up here instead of the hotel opposite, which was our chosen resort.
i would totally recomend this lovely hotel, the twin swimming pools, the wonderful staff and the fresh tasty salads and lush desserts to anybody.
i note that some people have commented that the all inclusive hours are too short...how much alcohol do you expect at this price? the after hours prices are below average and the bar staff are amazing, funny, friendly and join in with all the dancing etc.they really seem to love their job.all four of us said it was the nicest hotel we have been to and would stay here again.it's a recently modernised hotel,it's clean, well positioned and the staff are amazing, much more than we expected so thank you very much for a great holiday.

Stayed at this hotel, were transferred from the sun club in bar street, found the hotel very friendly and you have to like chicken... Nice quite location, if you want more there is a nice walk along to the bars and shops, if I had to criticise, the hotel needs intertainment, not ten minutes two nights a week, if I was to come back to Gumbet, I would consider using this hotel again. Just a last point could do with balcolny furniture.

Room Tip: Pick a room over looking pool.

**all inclusive hrs are totally disappointing**

ive just come back after 7 days at this place.. im gona start by saying this would suit young people as its about 10mins away from the amazing night clubs and 5mins walk from a drink and smoke by the beach.

ive advised caution because this hotel didn't have a lift and most of the area is pretty steep and the road surface is very uneven soo anyone with issues walking should properly stay from Gumbet altogether.

we actually didn't even go the the beach that was with the hotel.. for one no one didn't show us which part of the beach was ours and to be honest we didn't even ask because the look of it was soo disappointing.

we went all inclusive and ended up missing all but 4 meal times and going out.. the food was okay but i really expected alot more choice.. cold coffee.. the all inclusive drinks come in a childs safety cup and its normally not even a full cup (the cheeky buggers)

the staff at this place are really lovely.. the girls on reception are helpful even the one who didn’t speak any English... i had to laugh as she would shout out “heyy” each time she wanted to get my attention.. kinda rude in come circles but hey, its all good (“,)

ask for Esa.. the hotels camera man.. he's a good guy and for about £5 a pic he’ll take some decent holiday pics of you. (defo recommended)

thanks for reading my review and i hope you have an amazing holiday..

Having just returned from the royal palm beach i can honestly say what a shame, only because the hotel was lovely, staff were so polite but there was very little entertainment ( break dancers and belly dancing on two nights which lasted all of 20 mins each ) and the bar closed at 11 o clock and the all inclusive drinks were so limited, the food was disappointing most of the time not even a toasting grill for breakfast! the afternoon snacks which consisted of very dry cake and roll was just not worth bothering with unless you like feeding the birds! there was alot of Russian guests , which we feel the hotel catered for more especially in the evening with the music in the bar area ,which could get extremely loud. The area its self was lovely though , the beach was just a few mins walk and there's plenty of bars and cafe's and you can do day trips on the boats or water sports, if we go back it would be to another hotel.

Room Tip: rooms with balcony facing the pool are the best.
