I just got back from staying at this hotel on september 2012 i am absolutely shocked at such a false advertisement This hotel is terrible, the service was terrible the cleaning was disgusting we had the same towel for 3 days and when they did give us new towels they just left the old ones there dirty on the floor. That Short guy with glasses thats always at reception he deserves a big slap he is lucky he was not there when i was checking out. The only good thing about this hotel was the location. But believe me it is not a 4 star hotel. If you care about cleanliness good service and i nice relaxed place to be on a holiday then do not go to this hotel. Oh and also there could be a possible chance that they might not have rooms for you when you arrive so they will transfer you somewhere else and that has happened to 5 groups that i met out there. This hotel is disgusting please stay away if you want to have a nice time.

I had a terrible experience when I came to Turkey. Me and my fiance booked for this hotel, not allocated on arrival.. And yet when we arrived at Sun Club Hotel really late at night we were told that the hotel was full and we had to re-allocate..! And the receptionist practically laughed at us!! They promised we were being moved to another 4 star hotel, which the company also owns, to find when we got there it was like a 1star that looked a state and was dirty. We had to wait 3 days before we could go back to the original hotel. They bribed us and another couple we met, a day on a Catamaran and fruit basket for the troubles, which we didnt receive!. The hotel its self was okay. It doesnt seem like Turkey is ready for 'All inclusive service' As the food is not the type that English people would go for. It was a shock for us to descover they dont have baths. So people if you do decide to go here, expect re-alocations and no bath, so leave you bath wash and bath bombs at home!! Also the showers there look like they are falling apart and leaks!

After reading all the reviews before we left, when we arrived at the hotel we asked for a room near the pool away from Bar Street, and were given a lovely family room. At 11am all the bars kick into action until 5am, and without the aircon noise there is no way you could sleep.

Food was okay but became a bit boring as the week went on, the waiting staff worked so hard to make your holiay enjoyable. We ate out a few nights as its so cheap and there are some really good places to eat nearby.

Room Tip: Ask for room near the pool area as its the furthest away from Bar Street

WE LEFT THE NEXT NIGHT, ABSOLUTE HELL, COULD NOT IMAGINE STAYNG THE WHOLE 2WEEKS!!
I booked this hotel because it seemed like the most decent in Gumbet, but hell was I wrong! We was allocated our room, which was supposed to be a ‘Family Room’ but only had 1 double bed, we were 5 people in total. The maid and a helper came in which we assumed were going to bring extra beds but all they did was turn the sofas into beds??? They just put some trampy thin mattress with some linen; we could accept this it was a disgrace we were paying that much money to sleep on a sofa??? After we complained they brought extra beds which were dirty as hell, absolutely disgusting the wires where all broken and rusty, it was dangerous. The bathroom stank of damp, the shower was mouldy, it was just plain NASTY.
Let’s pass all that, we thought we would get a safe so we could be at ease, we put our things in and locked it, I wanted to put something else in but the safe would not open, it literally did not open, we rang reception someone came to try and fix it but no success. They took the safe away without things inside and smashed it open. What a joke!
We thought let’s get some lunch and see the pool area. Lunch was a disgrace the food was dirty the area which it was served was filthy; the chips were literally brown with dirty oil. The drinks tasted funny, the water was soapy and honestly not drinkable. Dinner was the same; by just looking at the food it really was not appetizing. In the pool the supposed one man animator just kept walking around, the guests just constantly played water football or whatever it was, very boring and dull. We went down to the beach which was a tiny area and packed, after eventually finding a sunbed we tried to relax but at 5pm they asked us to get up as they were going to pack up and prepare the tables for the night.
Honestly this is the worst hotel I’ve ever been in my life; it’s not worth a penny, and it was meant to be an ALL INCLUSIVE HOTEL, yeah bloody right!! The hotel and area is NOT suitable for families, if your young and not fussy go ahead.

Returned to this hotel on 27th August for a week having stayed there last June. I thought it was okay last year and after reading the reviews about it this year decided to go back. Big mistake!! We arrived at the hotel at 04.30am to be told there was not a room available for us! After a discussion with the Receptionist who hardly spoke a word of English, we were told we could have a "suite" for the night but would have to move to another room in the morning. When we got into the room, i was shocked that it was one of their better rooms. The plaster was hanging of the walls, the shower door was broken and we had to hold it together to close the door! The curtains looked like someone had taken a razor to them and the carpet hadnt ever been cleaned for what looked like the previous season! However, we had a huge balcony and a lounge, which was a bonus.

In the morning we returned to reception to be told we would be moving room but not until 11.30 and to hang on until then. At 12 o clock we returned once again to reception to be told there was no room and that we were to stay in the suite for another night and move the next day! After a rather heated discussion with the Manager we were still no further forward and had to return to the suite until a room become available the next day. So, the next day up we went to reception only to be told again that the room wasnt ready and could we wait until 1pm and they would contact us to move. Eventually 1pm came and no call from Manager! We eventually had to go find him ourselves and was told that we now didnt have to move as there were no other rooms! We tried to put our point across that this was unacceptable but he didnt seem to care.

Day three we eventually were able to get up early and go sit by the pool. Well, that was the plan but if you dont get there by about 7am you aint getting a seat or sunbed around the pool. The food hall Staff were very nice although the Manager was too full on. The food was very repetative, meatballs, salad, soup everyday.

The "animation team" consisted of one male who at times forgot there were guests in the hotel that werent Turkish as all he played was Turkish music and for the rare night entertainment he spoke to guests in Turkish! The plastic cups from the bar could also do with a good clean!

This was a very disappointing stay for us. When we stayed there last year it was 2 star and this year was supposed to be 4 star but in my opinion it should be downgraded . The Manager actually told us that they were very over booked and when we were checking out we couldnt keep the room on so had to hang around for 12 hours until we were picked up. When we asked were we could get changed i.e if there was a courtesy room we were told we could get a shower at the pool side and changed in the toilets, which were used by passers by who were using the beach!!!!!!

Room Tip: If you would like a quiet night ask for a room near the pool as it is very noisy until around 4am.

We arrived on the 4/9/12 and the hotel had been double booked. We were moved to another hotel which was not comparable to what we had booked (sunclub). The manager of sunclub was extremely un helpful. Didnt see that there was a prob.

I requested a letter from the front of house manager stating that the hotel was fully booked, he coldly refused said it wasnt his concern.

I feel that companies are using sunclub as a front to sell all other hotels rooms in the area !!!
