We were originally booked into another hotel, but got changed at the last minute due to that hotel not being open on time. We were originally put into room 101, which is literally the adjoining wall to Reception. The issue with this room is that it is so close to Bar Street that the wall was vibrating from the sound. Explained our issues to the Manager the following morning and were moved on the same day to a room closer to the pool which was much quieter. The accommodation was basic, but clean. The food was the only thing that really let us down. The choice was as we had expected and would have been fine if it had been hot, but it very rarely was! We ended up eating out most of the time which really made our holiday as the Turkish food is so good, and very good value for money. The staff were friendly and the Manager very helpful. The location in Gumbet is great for exploring. The local bus stops right outside the hotel and takes you into the bus station at Bodrum where you can get buses to pretty much anywhere you want to go (Bitez and Gumusluk beaches are nice). The Rep will charge you £20 each to go the Market in Turgutreis, but we did it for just over £5 using the Dolmus. Overall we felt that we had got value for money with the slight exception of the food, but that could be easily rectified by the hotel if they kept it hot once served.

Room Tip: Rooms nearer the pool are quieter. Once you close the door at night you can barely hear the music.

This hotel is under new management and provided great service by manager and staff, all very helpful and friendly. The hotel itself is lovely, rooms basic but everything you need and very good value as all inclusive. Food is great, varied, hot and cold and lovely fruit and salads, all you can eat....The views are amazing and the hotel is right on the beach. Pool is exceptionally clean and the staff are always making sure everything is tidy and clean. Entertainment is great fun, pool games during the day and dancing and games for the young children, games and fun stuff to do at night to the great music our Chester plays......he is the diamond in this hotel and between him and the other staff, it makes for one off the best fun holidays you could have with the best scenery and nightlife imaginable. Totally recommended. Jill Gladwin G.

After reading bad reviews on Trip Advisor, I was not looking forward to staying at this Hotel. The Hotel is for the last month has been under new management and what a tremendous job they are doing to turn Hotel around. The Management and staff are all very friendly and the food was very good. Yes there is a nightclub playing music until 4am but if you read up on area you will know this and go prepared like I did and take earplugs (I am 50 years old). I am disappointed with some of the reviews with regards the food. If you go on a foreign holiday then you eat the same as the locals. If you go looking for English Breakfast and mince & potatoes, then stay at home. If some of the staff don't speak good English, then you should maybe learn some of the language before you go. First time I have been all inclusive and for what I paid for holiday, I certainly cannot complain. I NEVER once found any of the staff to be rude or unhelpful. the manager is doing an excellent job in turning this hotel around. Thank you to all at Sun Club for a great holiday.

Room Tip: If you are not their for the nightlife then ask for a room near to the pool area which is the back o...

Have just returned from a weeks stay at this hotel. For the price we paid (£215 each) for AI, flights and transfers can not complain. We had originally been booked into Peda Gumbet Beach Hotel. On arrival at airport we were told that had closed a week earlier. The Coach Driver and Rep from were so nice and friendly that they dealt with everything. We were taken to Sun Club. Had a perfect ground floor room, right next to the pool and bar. A short walk through to the beach and sea. Straight out of reception and you had all the bars, clubs, different foods and shops in both directions. Ok so they repeat the food, but we liked it. But then I only eat chicken and fish. We were very happy with everything. The staff are not friendly at first, but soon warm to you. There was a great end of season staff party by the pool, which everyone enjoyed. Room was lovely and clean, we were given fresh clean towels when we wanted, and also extras for the pool and beach area. Very tiny terrace, with two seats and no room for anything else. There is music all day. We preferred to lay out on the sunbeds by the sea all day, so close to the hotel toilets and bar, it is perfect for relaxing by the sound of the waves of the sea. The weather was perfect for 22-29 October, but be warned the last few days as the guests were leaving the area was starting to close down. when we left of Thursday evening there were only 8 guests remaining, come Friday 1st November everything in the area closes except one bar. Hotel Baba next door was closed but "Harry" who owns the bar and also the boat for the day trips is great. Not only is his boat the cheapest for a day out, but it also looks the nicest and the food on the boat and at his bar are excellent, with great and friendly staff. All in all we had a great holiday, relaxing, fun and all at the right pace, not too slow or too fast. Yes the music from the nightlife is loud, but when we closed our patio doors, we could not hear it. Better double glazing than I have at home. I will certainly return, for the location, weather and price!!!!. Next will book a few days or maybe a week earlier. But for the price we are very very happy holiday makers. If you want a 5* grand hotel, then expect to pay a much higher price. If you want a clean bed, clean sheets, towels and room, the option of eating and drinking at the hotel (which is already included), or paying extra to eat and drink out when you choose to, then go for it. We are very glad we did :-)

Room Tip: ask for ground floor, closest to the beach, pool and bar. We were on the end, at the corner of the p...
