I was slightly bemused with the state of this hotel when we arrived.
We were given a top floor room (with a 1 year old and pushchair) even though it was requested on the booking that it be ground floor.
The place felt neglected, the pools too cold to use, even though it was 30 degrees outside. The baby pool is placed in the back near a dry muddy area full of cat poo. There was even a dead bird and a rat there that were reported and left for over 2 hours...
Our rep changed our rooms for us as there was no hot water in the block we were originally placed in, and after moving into our new room we found the fridge full of mould.
The floors were not once swept or mopped, and the bed linen never changed.
The staff were friendly and did sort the fridge etc, but why on earth should i have to ask?!
We didnt spend one day in the hotel area as it was unsafe and filthy.
The music is far too loud for the area its trying to entertain so on Turkish night i couldnt get my son to sleep due to the unecessary music which went on until about midnight.
I wouldnt want to stay here again and i certainly wouldnt recommend it to anyone i know!

Just returned from a week (7th - 14th Oct 2013) at Queen Resort and I think this accommodation is not a 4 star property. I would give it 4 star for the friendliness of the staff, 3 star for its location but 2 star for everything else. The rooms were dated, the bed linen and towels were clean every day so no complaint there, just wish they would collect the dirty linen from outside the rooms as they go instead of having to climb over it in the stairway every day you come back from the beach. Our room faced the pool and we could hear the music from our own and other bars until quite late so if you want to get your head down early....forget it, snooze on the beach during the day instead.

We selected self catering due to health problems but I would not recommend anyone attempt to cook anything significant to eat as there are only 2 rings and when you put them on at the same time they trip the electricity!! The kettle lid would not close so I had to hold it down while boiling. The fridge is linked to the card you use for the electricity so when you go out to the beach from 9.00 til 5.00 your fridge is off!! Not good for your food to be kept fresh and edible. When the fridge is off the freezer box starts to defrost and the water seeps into your food on the shelves below. I read from other reviews about lack of cutlery etc and took my own, I was glad I did as it was limited to 2 knives, forks and spoons there was no sharp knife to cut bread with. A toaster would of been helpful too, tried to toast bread holding over ring but failed miserably. The breakfasts are cheap enough to eat out (£3) but when you go self catering you expect to be able to cater for yourself if you want to.

We walked down to the beach most days as the pool area was very small and shaded at various times throughout the day so you would need to keep moving sunbeds to follow the sun, it was completely gone from the pool by 3pm but didn't go down until around 6.30pm. The Turihan hotel where we used to sit at the beach had free sunbeds and did good lunchtime snacks, it was one of the limited places to do proper chips instead of frozen ones too. There is a variety of places to eat and all seemed to be offering the same deals.

Couldn't fault the good weather so if you fancy a place just to get your head down and enjoy the party atmosphere of bar street then this place is ideal.

Friendly staff cheap hotel. Does have music playing until late and as everything is quite compact you do hear it but didnt bother me. The pictures on websites do make it look bigger than it actually is. Needed a clean goin over when arrived.

We stayed here for 10 nights and had a brilliant, relaxing time!! Would highly recommend for people wanting a nice few days in the sun on a budget. The staff here really are brilliant!!!

Bad points.
- Can be fairly noisy at night
- Breakfast was limited if staying B&B and got quite boring after 3 days. (Turkish breakfast and was exactly the same every day
- Pool was quite cold in October

Good points
- Location brilliant
- Staff were excellent, cannot fault them!!
- Turkish night was great. Brilliant entertainment and the food was out of this world
- Lunch here is very good
- Rooms are bigger than most we’ve experienced in Turkey
- Room was very clean and tidied every day

My partner and I stayed here for a week from 30/09/2013 till 07/10/2013.

Hotel and grounds were very clean, staff were very helpful and friendly, rooms were very clean and spacious, few minor scuffs on walls etc. but this is to expected as it was end of season and no doubt had hundreds of people through the room.

Room was cleaned everyday, towels and sheets changed regularly, excellent location for beach and Gumbet centre, very quiet at night as just far enough away from the main strip however we were up to 3am singing karaoke on a Friday night with a few others having a GREAT time, see previous reviewer who wasn't too happy lol!

Prices in the bar were very good plus happy hour between 4:30 & 5:30 then 9:30 till 10:30.

We were on our holidays and wanted to have a laugh and we certainly did that here!

Great place to stay!

I think I might know who wrote those great reviews- the same people that stayed up until 3 and 4am and kept everyone else there totally fed up. I am not too fussy about my apartments on holiday but the soft furnishing all smelt of very stale sweat and the mold was taking over the bathroom ceiling, definately not nice. The bar, with the loud music stayed open til three in the morning and they carried on serving people who were obviously very drunk and arguing and screaming at each other. It only took one or two people to keep everyone else in the hotel awake! The staff there were brilliant but I think they had no choice but to keep the bar open (owners of hotel, take note) and I know many people who have said they will not ever go back there, myself included.

Room Tip: Rooms to the back of the property can be quieter but then you can get noise from other hotels.

stayed at the queen hotel from the 16th sept till the 26th 2013, this was our first visit to gumbet so wasn't sure what to expect, we arrived and was welcomed by the guy on reception , I am very sorry but I am terrible with names, we was given our room and taken to it but a member of staff , the room was clean and tidy, a couple of little faults but it was near the end of the season so was to be expected, the shower head was broken but was fixed very swiftly . the tv wasn't great but who cares.. the pool was nice but thought the sunbeds were very crammed together..other than that everything was fine, the staff are A1 especially the waiter what a great guy , couldn't do enough for you , if he reads this sorry looked for you when were going but our coach arrived and couldn't find you and if you cant remember me im the one who said you looked like nasty nick from eastenders......the beach is 5 mins away. , we found a lovely beach called betiz which cost 13 lira appx £5 in a cab, if you use the sunbeds and eat at the lemon tree restaurant they will give you a free lift home .. the hotel is only about 10 mins from bar street if you like to party but far enough away not to hear it if you like peace and quiet, there are some lovely restaurants near hotel , overall we liked the hotel location and staff very much... thanks for a nice holiday all mick and sam

Room Tip: if you can get a room a little away from the bar area it might suit those better who likes peace and...
