From the moment we got off of our coach, my husband & I were in heaven. We arrived at the hotel after a short 20 minute transfer at about 1am and entered the reception area. Wow what a fantastic aroma from all the fresh lilies in an amazing display under the beautiful chandelier. it was such a gorgeous area to be received into & such a perfect start to our whole hotel experience.
We were helped with our luggage to our room, which unfortunately was a twin (Which was changed to a double with no hassle the next day). My husband & I always like to get a quick feel for a place as soon as we arrive and so left our room in search of a drink. It was so easy even at that late hour to find our way around and after trying the Sky bar for a quick pint, we noticed people on a veranda overlooking the sea and found the Panorama bar, which is 24 hour.
There is enough variety of everything at this resort & even though it is in an out of the way location there is really so much to see and do that you will not get bored.
We managed to get outside seating at nearly all of our meals at the main restaurant (Except when it was too windy/rainy), What a fantastic main restaurant this place had! Fresh cooked in front of you & with an amazing variety of foods, each of the three meals you really are spoilt for choice. After a couple of days we did decide to sort our own coffees for breakfast out as sometimes the staff weren't on the ball but I don't count this as a bad point as there is a coffee machine & you can find everything you need without being waited on.
We only tried the Chinese A la Carte restaurant as we weren't really that fussed about making reservations as we are a little more off the cuff rather than planning our days out.
Our room was lovely, the first room we were given was on the second floor with a balcony overlooking the main path area but when we were moved to our double we were on the ground floor next to the doctors and back gate area. we had no real outlook but it was pretty quiet so suited us fine. The room itself was quite small but had everything you could need, a daily stocked fridge with soft drinks & Efes, clean towels & bed changed when needed & lovely hotel slippers which were so comfy & an easy to use safe. In both of the rooms, the lock on the balcony door didn't work & other people had noticed this so we made sure all our valuables were locked away, even though this resort felt the safest that we had ever been to.
Torba as a resort is extremely quiet, with a couple of restaurants dotted along the road to the harbour area. We enjoyed walking from the hotel, with a few of the stray dogs in the as company and the views of the bay from the harbour are spectacular.
If you do fancy going further out and about, from just outside reception you can catch a Dolomus into Bodrum. They run every 20 mins or so and are yellow. All of the dolomus' are colour coded for each area on the peninsular which makes it really for the return journey from the bus station. It only takes 15-20 mins into town and only costs 3TL whick is the equivalent of £1 & also the taxi's a pretty cheap also.
The beach and jetty areas are superb, you have to be up pretty early in the morning to reserve a lounger on the jetty but other than that there are definitely plenty of loungers to go round & we always managed to find some even if we had to move them around a bit. We stayed mainly around the Hawaiian pool area for swimming and relaxing because it had everything we needed there. The pool bar was amazing with so many cocktails on offer & an endless supply of cold bottled water, many snack and refreshment bars dotted around, it really was brilliant.
There is such a fantastic chilled out vibe at this resort and at first I was disappointed when we were unable to upgrade to the Private section of the hotel pre-stay, but now I don't really think it would have made our holiday any better, the private areas have better rooms & swimming pools to themselves but I loved the holiday we had & wouldn't change a thing. I was even given a plate of fruit and bottle of wine for my birthday from the hotel and a birthday cake from the hotel when we dined at the Chinese a la carte. Just those little touches really make a difference.
As you can tell from reading this, I loved the Voyage at Torba! I have never been someone who will visit the same hotel twice as I like to see as much of the world as I can, but already we are looking to spend or 5th wedding anniversary at the Voyage in 2016 as I can't think of anywhere I would rather go.
If you do decide to book your holiday here, then I am extremely jealous & really hope you have a fantastic time like my husband & I did.

We went for one week (me & my boyfriend), just got back today. They took our bags to the room which was great. It is a short distance from the airport (approx 1/2 hr). There was everything you need in the room ...shampoo, conditioner, shower stuff, ear buds, shoe polish, sewing kit (little tissue box) TV, mini bar (although more pop than booze but .....plenty of booze around the complex. Rooms were cleaned & bedding changed daily. I did think the room was a little small but to be fair ...its not like we spent much time there. Safe in the room too which was free.

I am a really fussy eater & was worried .....honestly there is soooooooooooo much choice!! I was amazed. Buffet in a morn, lunch, tea & midnight. Also for lunch their is a snack bar (great chicken), noodle bar & pancake huts by the pool. Evening - various restaurants inc- Italian, Chinese, Japanese (tepanyaki), Greek, Turkish, Steak House. The two that you have to pay for are the Japanese & Steak House (15 euro each) and the rest free. Very fast service and so many courses.

A choice of 5 pools & private beach where you DONT have to pay for beds or brollys. You dont need to take towels as you get a card when you check in and so can have a clean towel when you want. I don't have kids but the kiddy area looked fab.

Plenty of activities inc - botcha (bulls), darts, archery, shooting & all the water sports (water sports were extra). Activities were on time as well - not waiting around for ages.

Bars are dotted around all over the place. When i read the reviews before i went & saw that a lot said that the staff were rude and you waited for ages well ..... so far as the staff being rude i STRONGLY DISAGREE (maybe some were miserable but to be fair, i heard how some of the foreign people were speaking to them and i would be rude too!!) Most people were great, chatty & smiley. Certain bars yes it was slow getting drinks. They just seemed to stand there cleaning glasses rather than serving but most of the time it was fine. Booze was branded also.

One waiter (Sheriff) ....fantastic. Very helpful, chatty & something i like is when they recognise you. Always on the ball & fast service. Thank you :-)

Our last day - we were being picked up at 6pm and you get kicked out of your room at 12. No problem as they collect your cases which are locked up and you can later shower & get changed in the spa.

Going out of the complex .... we were going on a trip that we had booked from a place just outside the hotel & we didn't end up going. The little bus was 1/2 picking us up (should have been there at 6am) and by the time it took us to the main coach it was full. Odd seats dotted about but we refused to go. 4hrs sat next to someone i didn't know!! We ended up getting most of our money back but did have to fight for it. (If you go i would do it with the hotel ...prob more expensive but safer).

Bodrum itself is about 5 -10 mins away on the dolmas which you can get just outside the hotel. It cost 3tl (which is nothing). Lovely little town although every shop much the same. Silver is very cheap but always barter with everything!!!!!

Can't think of anything else but one of the best hols i have had. Value for money .....AMAZING!!! I look forward to going back in the future. See you soon guys :-D xxx

A friend and I stayed here for 5 nights with our daughters at the beginning of May and booked two 'superior' rooms.
The good-
Very friendly staff- everyone was polite and conversed with us in English. However the way some of the guests spoke to the staff left a lot to be desired- not even a please or thank you!
Hotel was very clean and nicely furnished and decorated
Beach area was also very clean- sand was raked and the sea was clear. A large area was roped off for swimming.
Jetty loungers had thick comfy mattresses!
Beach towels provided and plentiful
Food- so much choice and although it could probably get repetitive it was fine.
Drink- branded spirits and we quite liked the Rose- especially chilled! Plentiful supply of bottled water and fridge in room stocked with soft drinks. Cocktails were ok but we felt they were not made as they should be.
If the manager reads this- Mojitos are made with limes not lemons!
Entertainment was fine on the night we went and we really enjoyed the live music and outdoor disco.

Not so good-
Scramble to reserve jetty sun beds sometime during the night. We witnessed a nasty confrontation between two women where one had taken the others 'reserved' sun bed. Was frustrating to see the beds unused. It would be good to see the rule which states beds can't be reserved until 8am enforced.
Our room was 'superior' which was one up from a 'standard' room. Booked twin beds and were given doubles- not ideal!
Our balcony was tiny with yellowing patio furniture and was almost touching the balcony opposite which made it very dark and we felt very overlooked. There was no view despite our booking form stating 'side sea view or pool view'.
The interior was better but the sink was in the bedroom rather than the bathroom- odd.
The a la carte booking service- never mastered it but did try. Not sure if it was our problem or there's but disappointing not to even experience one of the restaurants!

We took the bus to Bodrum which was about 10 minutes away- nice to have a wander by the castle and look at the boats. Airport transfer booked through Bodrum Transfers for 59euros return which we paid in cash in full when we got to the hotel. The transfer is about 25 minutes.

Would we return?
Definitely but we would need to be reassured we were getting the room we booked with the view we booked- I find it stressful to try and sort it out when you arrive but think there is a responsibility on the part of the hotel to get what you booked.
Also would make sure we were able to book the a la carte restaurants and would query this if I were to book again.

As far as I could see the best rooms were in the private section and definitely worth booking because they are in the best position right by the beach. The next are the deluxe- again in a good position but without the private pool.

Room Tip: Private section is best in terms of location followed by deluxe

5 Star hotel. Stayed for a week in May 2014. The hotel was lovely, very clean and beautiful surroundings. Room was great stayed in superior room and plenty of space. Food was amazing in both buffet and a la carte restaurants, especially in Greek, Chinese, Italian and Steak house. we did not have enough days to eat in all. Drinks were branded and cocktail list was endless. The service was of high standard and guest relations management always ensured we had a 5 star experience. special thanks to Ahmet and his guest relations team who made our 20th wedding anniversary a memorable experience. Extra thanks to Ridvan and Tevik, excellent service, staff could not do enough for us and nothing was too much trouble. Day beds on the jetty were so comfortable pools were lovely, an extremely relaxing experience. Evening entertainment was varied, enjoyed the sky bar and entertainment, Greek restaurant a brilliant experience! Will be definitely returning, we will be taking our teenage sons back with us next time as we feel they will also love it there. Thanks Voyage Torba.

Room Tip: Choose superior bigger in size.

We stayed at the voyage torba for one week. We flew out on the 1st may. The staff when we arrived were lovely, they took are bags to our room, lovely start. We paid to upgrade our room, they still are quiet small but were nice. The food was fantastic in all the restaurants and the service was exceptional, the staff couldnt do enough for you. We ate in most of the a la carte restaurants, the only down side off this is we have gained ten pounds in weight. The sunbeds on the jetty and the adult only area are very comfortable, the views are lovely. The selection of drinks was extensive with a wide range of cocktails and good quality wines. The manager Ahmet and his team made our stay extra special and we thank him for this. We would go back anytime to the voyage torba it is a wonderful place to spend our holiday.

Room Tip: pay for the upgrade.
