“Many good points and a few quibbles.”
Reviewed 17 June 2014

Beautiful location with a private beach and lovely views. Restaurant was excellent, so much choice of food and friendly and fast service from waiters here and all the bars. There is a choice of restaurants included in the price which you can try once (except The Steakhouse and Japanese which have a small supplement). We tried the Italian and Chinese which were both very good, perhaps the Italian was marginally better. We thought the local wine was just as good as the Chardonnay that we bought for 75 TL (about £23). if you have trouble booking a restaurant try Guest Relations who are very helpful.
No problems with sun beds, parasols or towels, all are plentiful. All five swimming pools allow inflatables and it would have been nice to have them banned in the main pool to facilitate swimming. All outside areas were clean and well tended.
The quibbles are that the rooms are small with limited hanging space and the cleaning was very haphazard; we found articles of clothing left by previous occupants. There is a safe in the room and a fridge which was continuously restocked. Balconies and stairwells never seemed to be cleaned.
Apparently the planning authorities limit the size of buildings so although the facilities are spacious you lose out on room size.
The shopping trip was really good value (£6), guide was informative and friendly and we saw the main sights of Bodrum: Amphitheatre and statue of Ataturk, views of castle, harbour and marina, windmills and the ruins at the Mindos Gate which was the original entrance to Halicarnassus (Bodrum). We stopped at the market and a few shops but you don't have to buy anything. There is a bus outside the complex which takes you into Bodrum, it costs 3 TL (£1). Most places accept euros and pounds but for local shopping it's handy to have some Turkish money.

All in all if you want an inclusive holiday it's excellent value.

The worst part of the holiday was the check in at the airport. It took ages, we've never had such slow service and there are no seats until you get through to departures. it puts us off returning to Bodrum.

Room Tip: Superior rooms have sea views.

Just returned from a fantastic 2 weeks at voyage torba after staying at the voyage belek last year we expected great things because we had a great time there. Hotel is lovely with villa type rooms so there is no big hotel building, being with family the feel was very intimate with lots to do and everything is spotless. Check in was quick and easy and we shown to our room. First impression of the room was a little disappointing as they are very small but decorated lovely and once all your clothes an cases are away the rooms are fine as we did not to spend much time in them it was just to get dressed an sleep.
All the Staff are amazing. They make the holiday! They cannot do enough for you and are excellent with the children. We travelled with our son who is 20 months old and usually very shy but the staff at voyage torba had him dancing and singing on the bar.

The beach is lovely an compared to belek was better and has a park for the children with a member of staff working there every day between 10.00-18.00. Knowing you had an extra pair of eyes on your baby at all times is very reassurring. The park has a roof to keep the children shaded during peak hours

I have been to many 5* hotels but the main restaurant here was the best i have been to. There was lots of choice every night and they even have a chinese chef and an indian chef cooking there special dishes every night. Deepak the indian chef was fantastic, amazing food, very friendly and very passionate about his cooking. We always sat in the section by the door run by Coskun and Huseyin. These 2 are a great team, they work extremely hard to make sure everyone is happy. We named Coskun speedy because he did not keep still making sure everyone had everything they need

The a la cart restaurants are very nice, we visited the fish, chinese, italian and steak. All lovely food an great service. You have to pay extra for the steak, i am not sure it was worth the extra money but it was very tasty food

The drinks are all top name brands and very good quality

Seref who works italian snack bar in the day and chinese restaurant at night is another 1 who needs to be mentioned. he was excellent, always really happy, friendly and helpful.

lots for the children to do, mini club, mini disco, 2 pools with water slides, childrens dinner at the mini club, beach park and fun fair. There was a games room but it was a bit disapointing as not very big an not much to do. We had an evening of rain and the games room in belek would of been perfect - hopefully they will update this before our next visit :)

Thank you to all the staff at:- The tropic bar, The italian restaurant, the childrens pool snack bar, the childrens entertainers and central bar staff. You are all excellent. Too many to name individually but i think the management should be very proud of there team
The Only bar we did not visit much was the sky bar as they were very slow with drinks

We watched 4 shows which were all outside acts and all very good to watch but not a fan of the seats in the ampthitheater, very uncomfortable but every hotel we have stayed in turkey has the same

All in all a great holiday and we would love to return next year

Third stay at Voyage Torba,
To make it short, Superb.
Great food with extensive choice, quality, variety, freshness, presentation.
A la carte restaurants : all great, except Greek (food average and soooo noisy !)
Room (Deluxe room) and swimming pool(s) perfectly maintained; as well as gardens.
Service : perfect at every bar and every restaurant. Helpful, smiling, customer oriented.
Children friendly
Our only negative point was the arrival - at 10:00PM with 2 children and the extra beds for the children were not prepared and we had to wait until almost midnight for it to be fixed.

We will definitely go again !

Room Tip: Deluxe rooms are more expensive but ... priceless fo rthe what you get

Reviewed 15 June 2014

We stayed in the voyage Torba for a week from 26th May Before going I was a little wary as I am not a particular fan of all inclusive as I have some disappointing experiences. it was my first visit to Turkey and some of the reviews (from last season) on here were a little concerning, Well I am now sold on them thanks to this place. The week just flew past and we enjoyed every minute, I must have come across a dozen people who were returning for their third fourth (and even nineteenth!!!) time, I can see why.
The resort itself is spotless and looks wonderful. It initially looks big but is easy to get around.
We stayed in room 1153 which was next to the aqua slide pool, The room was large enough for what we needed ( although our friends in room 4172 found it a bit tight with themselves and their five and one year old in one bedroom. ) The rooms were spotless, cleaned every day and had a good stock of shower gel, shampoo etc.
The resort was great for our children. My 15year old was over the moon with the wifi ( how times change!) and for my 5yr old there was a choice of pools including the kids pool. aqua slides and ,more, 'normal' pools. The kids club was open most of the day at the kids pool. The staff were brilliant. They were on hand, interacted with the kids well without being intrusive. A big bonus was the kids buffet at the kids pool at midday which served fruit cakes healthy options but also ( and I know this will sound touristy!) but chips, chicken nuggets burgers etc.) As a parent you knew the kids were eating during the day. And they had fridges full off magnums twisters, and kids drinks like boxed juices and milk. ( Obviously I had to 'test' some of the magnums!!)
The food was good. The buffet restaurant had more than enough choice ( however the healthy choice table was a very lonely place ha ha) You would have to be the pickiest of picky to find fault. It catered for all nationalities present and at the end of the day you are in a foreign country, give something new a go! My personal favourite moment was walking in to watch a chef grilling tuna steaks that he had just cut directly from a full tuna! ( But they could invest in a second waffle machine ha ha!)
For lunch were often visited the Italian restaurant that did kebabs, chicken and some pasta. We always got a cheeky bottle of mariachi ( a tequila flavoured larger ) You need to ask for this but it just hits the spot on a sunny afternoon. We visited the Greek Mexican and Turkish a la carte all were good but the food at the Turkish was easily the best. The booking system is a bit bizarre ( ringing spot on 10am) however we were always a party of 8 and apart from some choices being full we had little problem booking and on one occasion when we just couldn't get through customer services ( who were great ) sorted us out.
I also enjoyed the tea bar which was open from 10 till midnight which served several different teas and coffees ( loved the apple tea) and they are going to have a barista style coffee bar installed soon. And the cakes at the patisserie,, whilst they taste different to what they look like they are going to taste like, were lovely ( i'll have one of those, and that one , mm and that one!!)
We visited Bodrum by the dolimus (however you spell it!) bus that stops outside the hotel It is well worth the visit ( It was two or three lira a person) but there is also a few small shops selling souvenirs directly across from the hotel.
The main highlight for me were the staff, I cannot praise the attitude of the staff enough. I seriously wonder what people must be doing to get poor service (as in some previous reviews) Yes we got a couple of drinks orders wrong so we politely told them with a smile, and guess what they returned with the correct order, also with a smile ( there's a clue in there!) I tipped frequently but at the same time only for good service (thus it was frequent) and never actually felt I needed to. The best way I can explain the way we were treat by the staff is that it felt like you were on holiday with friends when you were with the staff, not being waited on. And on one occasion when our friends boy got a small spelk in his foot one of the staff sheref went to his staff accommodation and got his tweezers to get it out!
I would absolutely go back and thoroughly enjoyed every minute and would recommend this resort to all.
Special mention must go to the following staff
Sheref. Simply outstanding. Nothing was a bother ( see above) and was simply a nice person to have met.(and introduced us to mariachi!!)
Nil Our friends young daughter was treat like an absolute princess by her.
Esra She was everywhere doing everything and always with a smile.
We also had contact with the Guest Relation Manager Ahmet Cengelci regarding a late check out. I am nothing but impressed by the service he provided and what he provided for us.
Easily one of the best holidays I have had!

Our vacation at the Voayge Torba private commenced on 31st May - 10th June. On arrival quite late at night, we were very happy with the service at check in and the porters who assisted with our luggage, especially as we had a very tired 2 1/2 year old with us.
On arrival in the very spacious luxurious room, a cot bed had been set up with duvet and pillow as the hotel realised our daughter was still young and supplied this for us instead of using the third occupancy bed. We were extremely grateful for this.
On awaking the following morning we took a couple of steps from our patio door onto sunloungers already with towels for us. These were direclty in front of the paddling area, again credit to the hotel for giving us this room. The A' La Carte restaurant at the private was available for all meals and snacks. Ice creams also available throughout the day at anytime. All drinks are premium brands and bottled beers and these were also served to your sunloungers if you wished.......nothing was too much trouble and the staff were lovely, friendly and excellent service.
The main part of the hotel which we also had access to was also outstanding.
We used the gym facilities every day and the spa was beautiful including the juice bar.
The main restaurant was huge and catered at all times for every taste and diet.
Full credit to the excellent chefs at the Voyage. The waiting staff were very professional and assisted in keeping our daughter amused whilst we in there as they were so friendly. We think she amused them as well with her baby doll in her pushchair!
The other restaurants on the complex are available to book every day and again we found them to extremely high standards and well worth a visit.
Since our visit last year the Italian restaurant area had been renovated and looks totally amazing with a steak house also now.
Snacks available of a daytime at the noodle house as well.
Mini club facilities are higly recommended and the aqualune park of an evening with the rides and trampolines were good fun, our daughter loved them.
The entertainment is the best I have seen in a hotel and this could be seen in the ampitheatre or later at the sky bar........ spectacular.
The swimming pools throughout the complex were well maintained and gorgeous, the slide parks were huge fun, they even have a mini one for todllers!!
The complex is set over a large area and the grounds are meticulously maintained by the gardeners and staff.
Housekeeping was excellent and linen was changed every day for us.
A huge thankyou once again to the guest relations manager of whom our daughter loved to go and chat to. You do truly provide the most astounding service. Full credit to you and we cant wait to return. It will be our 4th visit to the Voyage hotels and third to this one.
A spectacular holiday in a spectacular hotel!!!!!

We stayed at the voyage torba from the 19th may to 29th may i travelled with my husband and my daughter it was our second visit as we also stayed here last year. The staff are really very good and we made a lot of new friends especially in the sky bar. They have had a lot of new staff since last year throughout the hotel and we thought the staff were so much better. In fact everything was better this year, the food was better and also the drinks they have got barmen this year that can actually make drinks that you can drink, last year the drinks were so strong i couldn't drink them. The new italian and steak house are really nice you have to pay for the steak house it's 20 euros each but be warned the steaks are massive, that's good if you have a big appetite, i couldn't eat all mine so i saved some for the cat's. The mexican, fish and italian were quite good but i did not like the greek at all it was far too noisy and the food wasn't very good,as we have lived in greece we do know about greek food. The maid we had this year was very good and did the bed everyday with fresh flowers,we didn't have to ask her for anything as she did her job very well, and everyday ali who was in charge of our block asked me if everything was ok and was i happy with things,he always took the time to stop and chat,as did all of the staff. We spent our days on the adult beach it was nice and quiet but i do think the hotel need to think about putting some rules in place on here, maybe a card like you have for your beach towels so that everyone on the adult beach has a fair share of the bean bags and comfy pillows, because some people take everything and there is nothing left for everyone else. The staff in the sky bar this year are really nice and work very hard and i never had any problem getting a drink sometimes we had waiter service and sometimes i would just go to the bar and order my own,the barmen were always happy to serve me and we always had a laugh and a joke. The party night was really good and the staff work so hard setting it all up,DJ Omer played some really good music so if you want anything playing go ask him,he is really nice. The bar captain who i am now friends with osman pusat runs the sky bar and all it's staff very well. The animation team are all new this year and are so much better than last year and this Year have a proper DJ who i am also friends with now. .We met some really nice people this year and some from last year who like us had returned, i will be returning to voyage torba we had an amazing time and i cannot fault the hotel and it's staff and would like to thank them each and everyone of them for making our holiday amazing.Just be careful who you book your holiday through we booked with asda travel we booked and paid to stay in the private, they passed the booking to YOU travel who requested with the hotel a standard family room not what we paid for at all,as the hotel was fully booked there was nothing they could do and it wasn't the hotel who was a fault it was the booking agents. I cannot fault the hotel at all we had a great time even though we didn't get the room we should have it didn't spoil our holiday one little bit and if i could go back tomorrow i would. THANK YOU VOYAGE TORBA AND ALL YOUR STAFF.

Myself my wife and 3 children spent a week here at the end of May, although the rooms are small the resort itself is amazing and the facilities are second to none. We asked for a larger room and was told there was nothing the staff could do which was dissapointing as it felt we had been squeezed into our room and it wasn't really designed fore a family of 5 . The staff are really amazing and if you have children they cannot do enough for you. Sheref, Nil and Deniz were particularly good with my brood. Thomas our 9 month old baby was a favourite wherever we went and the staff really made a fuss of him.
Voyage Torba is not a hotel and more of a resort with small blocks of accommodation spread across the resort. The gardens are particularly well kept as is every pool and beach area. The resort is so huge you can always find a quiet area and do not need to reserve any beds ad there are plenty for all. The entertainment is high quality and the food is exceptional. We dined at a few of the a la cartes and they were top notch.

The journey to Bodrum market on a Tues is well worth it, especially if you have kids who are into football. Barter hard though and you can get very cheap kits (we got 3 for £23) so stand your ground.

The Voyage Torba is a beautiful hotel in beautiful surroundings with fantastic staff.
We will return, hopefully next year
