“Highly enjoyable - good value for money”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 June 2009

Me and my partner just returned after an excellent one-week break to the Voyage Torba Hotel. It was our first all-inclusive holiday and I must say that our stay was extremely enjoyable and we had a great time. By day the hotel is excellent for chilling out and ideal if your looking for a relaxing holiday (despite the odd bit of noise from the lively entertainment crew). There is three pool's to choose from and the resort has a private beach where we spent the majority of our time. By night we usually had a few drinks and little else but this was what we were after - a week to get away from lifes everyday stresses. I would warn people that beyond the hotel itself there is little - Bodrum is around fifteen minutes away and whilst nice to visit once or twice there is little around the area. The food was excellent and I couldn't complain here, I would also reccomend people try the Mexican restaurant which did amazing chicken fajita's. I'm guessing like with any all-inclusive deal though that by the end of the week a good meal at home is all your after, but this is nothing against the food as they had a great range to choose from. The room itself was nice and stylish, which were cleaned everyday to your requirements.

The only negatives that I would mention would perhaps be the area around the hotel - as there really is nothing else asides from Bodrum (however the hotel complex itself has enough to keep you amused), and the general vibes I got from the staff towards Brits. It may just have been me - and I must say that by the end of the week once they spoke to us they seemed to give us more time - but it did appear that the staff gave people of other nationalitie's more of their time and service. By this I mean offering them drinks to their table's, serving them first at bar's and speaking to everybody else regarding activities that they had going on each day. As I say maybe I'm being slightly paranoid but it's just the feeling I got.

Please don't be put off by this though as the hotel really is amazing value for money. I reckon my parter and I made back our money in food alone!!! A truly relaxing holiday and I would definitely reccomend to anyone who fancies getting away from it all. I probably wouldn't return again as I like to experience different countries and area's from holiday to holiday, but certainly this would be a place that I would encourage other's to try.

This hotel is the best we have ever stayed at! Spent 2 weeks from 2nd - 18th May 2009. The hotel is fab, nice modern, clean rooms. Gardens surrounding the rooms are beautiful, bright flowers, green grass little paved paths gave it a quant village feel.
The staff were great, really attentive an d friendly! Adil at the beach bar was lovely, remembered our drinks order without us asking each night! The hotel is not mean with drinks either, plenty of spirits and cocktails too! No shortage of food, lots to choose from each night even if your fussy!, the A la carte restaurants were great quality- - especially the Turkish (the mezes just kept on coming and the best Shish Kebab ever) the Italian did a good filet steak too. The desserts and salad at the buffet were a beautiful sight to see - a work of art! Omelets made to order filled with what you like in front of you for breakfast were good too.
Lots of pools, never a shortage of sunbeds. The beach was breathtaking, fantastic view across the sea, really relaxing. Did not use the Spa in hotel but heard it was good, especially if you haggle on price. If you have a late flight you can use the showers in there, hairdryers available too.
The photo guys were funny too, always cheery and photos came out really well that they took of us on beach at sunset.

We recommend a Turkish bath through Thomas cook, £10, get picked up anytime from hotel and taken to Hamman, really good service once there, very traditional. Extra treatments available , we had a massage at a fraction of the price of what is in UK. Really good way to begin holiday! Also day trip to Kos, only 40 mins by ferry from Bodrum, nice day out. other trips available too, historic sites etc.

In all, a really good quality hotel, great standard of service and facilities. A relaxing place to chill and wind down form the stress of home. Would def love to go back again. May is a good time because hot but comfortable, 25-31C bright sunshine each day. Only one day of rain in whole two weeks.
Recommend to anyone wanting to get away, relax and be well fed with plenty of drinks! Great for families too as lots for kiddies to do and staff really good with them.

Enjoyed every bit!! Brilliant holiday, very good value.

This hotel is fantastic. From arrival the staff were very helpful and a bell boy took our bags to the room.On opening the door wow the rooms are out of this world they are a good size and proper double beds with designer fixture and fittings and a free mini bar replenished every day. The food was fantastic there is something for everyone my wife is a veggie and she never went hungry there is a kids buffet at the kids club and the al a carte restaurants were fantastic (the reviewer called andrew doesnt know class) you could also eat at the various bars donner meat, pasta, fish and chips, pizza and plenty more all day the drinks are of good quality and there is some international drinks on the all inclusive. The service is first class i think andrew must have upset them or something the waiters are all friendly and love kids

The entertainment team work hard to keep you busy and they cater for every nationality. If you want to join in you can but if you don't well don't we joined in with darts water polo aqua aerobics which was good fun they also put on shows in the ampitheatre everynight wich were of reasonable quality. The kids club caters for kids over4 but our son is nearly 3 and he was made to feel very welcome and could join in as long as a parent was present. There is loads to do for kids the water slides, park, kids club and don't forget the pancake house they love them.

There are a lot of german, french, dutch and russian but they are all friendly and talk and socialize with you and there is plenty of sun beds haha the beach is clean and looks fantastic.

Every english couple we met have aranged to go back at the same tiime next year all in all this hotel is sheer class 5* .

This hotel is not a 5 star as advertised by the Turkish tourist board and is in fact a 4 star. The holiday itself was fantastic and for the price paid cannot complain. I wouldn’t pay full price however. The hotel is situated in a small town called Torba which is around 15mins away from Bodrum. Be warned that there are no shops or night life in Torba and is isolated.

The hotel caters mostly for German holiday makers, so the food caters for their taste. Although the food is satisfactory, the food was the same most nights. The restaurants where the biggest let down. These served the same food as in the main restaurants but with waiter service. The bar staff do not have a menu of what drinks are available so be prepared to explain how to make your favourite drink. Watch out for the measures also, as you’ll end up with more spirit than mixer in most cases (if that’s good or bad!). Once you do order your drink wait for a good 30mins before being served it.

The hotel rooms are very modern and look new. They are small but are ideal for a holiday in the sun. All with mod-cons and mini bar. Cleaned each day. Rather clinical looking.

The hotel is spread all over the place with three swimming pools. The main pool in the centre, however right next to the main restaurant. So if you’re after piece and quiet be warned. Food served daily. The second pool is for deluxe guests only. The third pool is ok but small, with a small pool bar. The best place is the hotels own private beach. Literally on the doorstep of the hotel. A bar is also on the beach and at times the staff will serve your drinks from your sun bed.

Thomas Cook will sell you day trip. Be warned as how they advertising these trips are misleading. A 5 star cruise is not a star cruise. It’s a 3 star cruise where you are huddled together side by side on a small boat with the embarrassing chavy society of Britain. Good for sunbathing and chilling. Other trips such as local flavours is a tourist set day out which seemed very staged. However these trips are cheap and gets you out and about if bored. Bodrem the main town is great if you want to shop at Marks and Spencers! Otherwise isn’t anything exciting to write home about.

Overall a clean and tidy hotel. Location not great and food ok for a 4 star. The hotel seems to cater for the Germans. This shown through the service given once they know you’re British. I’m sure im being paranoid! The entertainment is rubbish. Activities for Kids but can seem them being bored.

Would recommend if you get the hotel at a cheap price. As a package holiday don’t pay over £350 for a week. Wouldn’t go back to hotel as been to better.

Enjoy!

We got to the hotel at 15:10 (after somhow finding some good Turkey flights) and we were amazed. We had been to the Sun Zeynep in Belek the year before and we didn't think any hotel would beat it but this did. The staff were friendly and polite (even though there English wasn't great they made the effort) and always avalible for a chat. The main restuarant was alfresco, next to the pool, but also undercover. The food was fantastic in the main restaurant but if you couldn't find anything then I would advise trying the Italian (the Greek, Chinise, Fish and Turkish were also OK) for the pizza. The pool bars were always well stocked and had a wide choice of meals at lunchtime. We stayed around the pool bar because that was nearest to the awesome waterslides. The room we recieved was good in some parts but bad in other ways. We got two bedrooms (one for mum and dad) and one for me with plenty of storage spaces. The downsides were that there was nowhere to sit down and the bathroom was small. I would recommened going to see the cats near the beach (go prepared with a glass of water for them to drink) and give them a stroke. The beach was nice and private but we tended to go on the jetty as they gave really thick matresses to lie on.
