“Great hotel....If you are 18-30's with NO CHILDREN !!!!!”
Reviewed 30 June 2012

Hotel was lovely beautifull views, great location, rooms are small but nice, food gorgeous not once in the 14days did we have a problem with things to eat, Waiter Turker was fantastic and made our holiday, always getting drinks always making time for our 8year old. The drinks were actually nice, beer was good, wine's were really nice even offering Rose, certainly cant moan about food or drink!
Down side:Waitors in bar very Bl#ody rude, honestly shockingly so.. The hotel does not know who they are actually catering for, they seem to think its for familys/teens etc, its certainly is not, the animators have absolutly no time what so ever for children, the games they played were for adults only, children were bored and totally left out, they would come round bigging up the games etc or entertainment getting the kids all excited and then say nope not for kids adults only, when you didnt join in the activities you were told you were boring, when they were told we do have a son to look after they just laughed and our son was referred to as 'it', our last night they had a pool party at 10pm, they came round all day getting kids excited, when asked if they could join in, was told yes as long as they can swim, our son could, when it came to the party it was good with a small fire display which again was good, then came the time to jump in pool etc and do the hotel dance , the animators were totally off there head drunk, diving all over it was clearly unsafe and very dangerous and scary too, we informed the manager who apoligised.Animators were loud and annoying to be honest, relaxing holiday this is not so much so i could not even read my book, believe me we are not party poopers we are 27 and 29yrs old, who like a drink and laugh but when you have paid for a holiday for a family time this is what you expect, the music was banging every day and i mean banging playing the club versions, with loads of swearing in, had to mention this a few times. Also LOADS AND LOADS of turkish/kurdish people, who are extremely rude,we had a few close calls as did other people with men and women being over friendly with our children, one women who was from Iran, was holding my son far to close and showing a scary intrested towards him, he was told to stay away from her, then it came around that she had taken photos of a little 4year old in her swimming costume and the girls father seen and told her off and picture was deleted, also a group of 3-4 men were caught taking photos on their mobile of a 15year old girl and a young blonde baby, police were called, the bar staff show such an unnatural intrested towards blonde/pale children and they were asked why so, and they becaming very defensive. We ended the holiday alittle bit fed up to be honest, as its such a waste as the hotel is absolutly gorgeous and it is such a shame, i hope they sort these issues out, as it is a 4star hotel, but just ruined but animators/a few too many close calls, Fantastic if you are a couple i guess, wouldnt say for singles as such maybe Bodrum would be a better place to go as very lively....
If you have already booked the hotel, i wouldnt panic too much as main things are really nice, just be carefully with your kids etc... If you are thinking of booking this hotel, just have a think about the pointers made....Wouldnt recommened for any children under 12years really.

Room Tip: Maybe go for a family room, as rooms are small

Stayed here from 11th to the 18th June and all I can say is wow. The place looked like a dream, the staff all friendly and can't do enough to help. Picturesque corner of the world and to be honest you could have a dream holiday without ever leaving the resort. Dozens of things to do, from the Aquatics to going along with the Animations Team. Only about £1 to get the bus into Bodrum every 20 minutes, which again was amazing with loads of cheap deals on quality excursions and shopping. Would definitely go again

On the whole, the hotel is a very good 4* with excellent views, a good location, friendly staff, and good food.

There are 2 pools, the main pool and the upper pool. The main pool of gets busy through the day, so you will need to have your towels 'out' by the latest 9am. The upper pool only has about 10 sunbeds by it, but is nice to sit next to.

The beach and decking area is absolutely lovely. We spent 13 of our 14 days down there and loved every minute. The nice breeze along with the warm sea contributed to a lovely chilled out vibe away form the loud music and reps by the pool. This feature bumps up the hotels rating in my eyes, as the facilities down there were better than a lot of 5* resorts I have seen.

The reps are very friendly and like to get everybody involved. They are also approachable and organise various trips out for younger holidayers. The entertainment at night is also provided by the reps, which can get a little stale at times. There are rarely any external entertainment groups, so if you are not a fan of the reps, there is little to do other than make your own entertainment at night, which is a bit of a shame.

The bars have contain 4 included local spirits (rum, vodka, gin, brandy, and raki). Imported spirits were available but are very expensive. For a single measure, it is around 20 leira (£8), so it is best to find a drink you like (which is quite easy) and stick to it. White and red wine are also available, as is the local lager, Efes (which is lovely, if I do say so myself). Fanta, pepsi, diet pepsi, lemonade, and slushs are also included.

The bar staff are very friendly and make an attempt to get to know you. The bars shut at the latest 12am (12 at night) and reopen at 9am in the morning. There are 4 bars which serve all of the above drinks.

The hotel is located well as it is only a 15 minute bus ride (which you can get on at the entrance to the hotel). It costs 3 leira per person each way (around £1.20) into Bodrum. Bodrum itself is a good day out (we visited there 3 times). There is a fair bit to do, such as visit the clothes market on a Saturday in which you haggle for clothes. Some holidayers may be deterred by this, but if you ignore them they will stop bothering you. The market is also in a large warehouse type building, and is easily avoidable if you do not wish to visit there. There are also shops down the main strip, where the quality is better but prices are a little dearer.

The food in the hotel was good; neither immaculate nor poor. Breakfasts were a little disappointing as there are only Turkish pastries, eggs, pancakes, and cereal available (I assume the lack of bacon/sausages is to do with it being a muslim country). For dinner, the main restaurant is opened (which serves effectively a toned down version of evening meal), as well as the snack bar (which serves lighter bites such as burgers, chips, pizzas, pastas). For evening meal, the choice is fairly good, and each night is a different theme (e.g. Italian, Chinese, Turkish, Seafood). There are also 4 a la carte restaurants which were all excellent. Water is free, though you do have to pay for the drinks. The food in the main restaurant I would give a 6 out of 10, whereas the a la carte I would give a 9, averaging it out at around a 7/8. The choice is fairly good, but it gets a little boring after 14 nights.

Overall I would give the hotel an 8 out of 10. The beach views along with friendly staff and atmosphere ensure you really enjoy your holiday. The food and choice of included drinks could have been better, but overall the value for money within this hotel was the best I have ever had. I booked with Thomson on the dates 10th June - 25th June for £720pp.

Room Tip: Rooms higher tend to be better. There are 6 floors, and from about the 3rd floor upwards you get a b...

We have just returned from a fabulous fortnight @ Blue Dreams. We travelled a group of 5 (myself, husband, son age 4 and my in laws).

Everything about the hotel and facilities @ Blue Dreams is incredibly family friendly. They have recently installed a lift that takes you from the pool/restaurant to the 4th floor which was great as we were on 4th floor!

The food was great, yes sometimes all inclusives can be 'boring' but I found that there was always a good choice. There was freshly grilled fish on a daily basis at both lunch and dinner. A couple of nights they had even prepared sushi!

We didnt try any of the a la cartes but only because using the main restaurant suited us better. Our little one could eat his meal and then go for a wander!

The animation team are fabulous. They really try to get you involved in the daytime activities - mainly being water polo, rifle shooting, aqua gym & volley ball. They play daily pool games which ends in the hotel dance 'Tequila Boom Boom'. All great fun, they never forced us into anything and accepted my daily 'no thanks' with great humour :-) My son Oliver fell in love with Sabi who was very amusing.

They also try every night with the entertainment. Dont expect a 5* show, expect the shows to be locally sourced and take it all with a pinch of salt and you will love it!

The restaurant manager (Mehmet) was incredible. I have never experienced such wonderful service, the rest of the dining staff were also great.

The weather was at times incredibly hot (late 40's) so no need to pack cardigans/jumpers!!

Wine in the restaurant good as it was kept chilled. In the other bars this isnt the case so it was a bit warm - this is an observation NOT a grumble!

You can access the beach & jettie's via the lighthouse lift. Its a small beach but perfect for little one's as the sea is so shallow - I would recommend any parents buy some croc's (or the equivalent) for children as the beach is pebbly and could hurt feet. We used the free canoes and paid to use the pedalo - both great value.

The hill to get out of the hotel is quite steep but looks worse than it actually is. We ventured into Bodrum which is great and cheap to get to (3TL each way).

We booked the trip over to Kos through Thomson. This is a very long day and if you intend on doing it, I would recommend doing a bit of research before so you have plans for the day otherwise Kos Town can get a bit boring.

Our Thomson rep (Jayne) was great. Always visable and happy to answer any questions. Her welcome meeting is very informative so I would recommend that everyone go to get the lowdown on the hotel and local area.

I would recommend this hotel to everyone - We all had an amazing time!!

Stayed at club blue dreams 11th to 26th June and had a wonderful holiday. Room was a very spacious ground floor family room, with view and close to everything.Maid cleaned room and changed towels every day.Lots of sun beds around pool and at beach although you have to get up about 8 to get bed by pool.Food at all restaurants was good and the staff were excellent and couldn't do enough for you.All staff at hotel were very friendly and always smiling special thank you to Faith (Patrick) at main bar.Only bad point is the steep hill to get to security gates.Would definitely go back to this hotel.

Room Tip: Email hotel couple of days before departure and ask for ground floor room

We stayed at Club Blue Dreams from 21st May to 4th June 2012 and loved every minute. We have 2 sons of 16 and 20 who got on really well with the entertainment team, with one of them getting the nick name of Grandfather for being so lazy, Our waiter was fantastic and always found us a table. The lift wasn't yet working but even though we were right at the top we didn't mind as it worked off all the lovely food. The view was stunning from our room, 647 and 648. We don't normally get into the activities but we were encouraged... by Shammi to do French Boules and i would so recommend it as we met some great people from all countries in doing so. We would recommend this hotel to anyone and would love to go back.

Room Tip: We were advised to email the hotel just before leaving to ask for the highest point (rooms 647 &...
