“Definitely NOT 5 star more minus 1”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 31 August 2014

This hotel is no way 5 star and the travel agent should not be advertising it as so, my advice is go somewhere else. We arrived at 1am me, my partner and son dropped off at the main gate, security told us someone would come and collect us and one hour later we gave up and decided to walk to reception. Checked in and shown to the room, first thing that struck us two single beds but there was three of us. Straight on the phone to reception and who ever I spoke to couldn't speak English, whilst I contacted our travel agent my partner went to reception returning to say the guy was useless. The travel agent rang me to answer my complaint saying he had spoke with the hotel and another bed would be delivered, I explained to him the room was not suitable for three people. Next morning we complained to rep who offered £40 as compensation for the inconvenience, bear in mind we spent near on £3000 for this 5 star experience. Our travel agent advertises mini bar in room which we found is only filled when you ask and you only get a bottle of water and a can of coke and a Fanta orange. The rooms are shabby old and tatty there was actually blood marks on the wall and lampshades, the bathroom had no towels the bath panel was hanging off and the floor filthy. The ten days there the rooms were never cleaned, we had to grad things off the cleaners trollies and do it ourselves.
The food wasn't very exciting accept for the fight that broke out with the waiters one night, they ran out of spirits some nights and be warned you get badgered all the time by photographers, spa reps and people selling trips to restaurants.
We wasn't the only people to complain there was plenty more, we travelled with a well known travel agent where I personally think all they wanted was the cash and the customer experience is least of there worries.
There are many more issues with this place but in a nut shell book somewhere else!

Room Tip: Choose a different hotel would be your best bet

We arrived at the hotel at 1 o`clock in the morning dropped of at the top of the hill told to wait for a driver to take us to reception waited a hour walked down our selves with our luggage not happy checked in taken to room.
Not happy 3 people in our party only 2 beds, no towels, no drinks in mini bar room obviously not ready for new people.Room only suitable for 2 people cramming more people in to make more money.
when we arrived they provided a snack pack which we didn't eat the rubbish was still there on Thursday so I had to throw away my self, room was not cleaned once in 10 days they only dropped of towels, I had to go out and take toilet rolls of cleaning trolleys.
The bar staff were great, but did favour the Turkish guests, the restaurant was good very clean but that is because all the bosses were in there, they need to be walking the rest of the hotel and checking on the cleanliness of there rooms a bit of attention to detail would go a long way to having less complaints. ie curtains hanging off windows. BLEACH IN TOILET BATH SCRUBBED
Reception staff by far the worst on sight incompetent and rude never finish one complaint without starting to help someone else, getting taxi for Turkish guests too many people in reception doing nothing.
The only good thing was the view and the infinity pool.
Would not stay there again would not recommend to anyone not a 5* only 2*

Room Tip: Only except a delux room

We stayed in Club Blue Dreams last week- overall mixed feelings. We were given a deluxe room straight away, which made such a difference.

* Room

Amazing view overlooking the sea and infinity swimming pool. Great big double bed, flat screen TV, mini bar stocked daily, great big shower room and a walk in dressing room. The only complain is to the maids- could be cleaner!

* Food

Below average, but eatable. We were not hungry, but don't expect Turkish food. Good selection of cheeses and bread for breakfast, lunch and dinner pretty much the same, which was rice, chips, beef and chicken. Tasty vegs and fruit. Don't expect tot much!

* Drinks

Efes beer mixed with water, but maybe for the best :) Didn't try anything else, but water was served in plastic cups, which was quite annoying.

* Facilities

Good size swimming pools, but not enough sun beds. We had to wake up at 7.30 to reserve the spot we wanted. I recommend the kebab house for lunch. No air conditioning in the lobby and restaurant, which is not good when you spend a few hours a day in the sun. Gym very dated and tired.

*Staff

I agree, their English is not great, but you can always get to the bottom of your problem. Majority of their guests are Turks anyway. Boys at the bar are great and always helpful!

Overall, if you stay in the new wing and don't expect Turkish food you will be ok. It's not a 5* hotel, but it's got a good potential. If they paid more attention to guests and their comments, they'd be better of.

Room Tip: Definitely make sure you get to the new side of the hotel.

No way should this hotel be advertised as a 4* plus Premier Hotel by Thomson. 2* at the best.

I TOTALLY AGREE WITH ALL THE NEGATIVE COMMENTS MADE IN PREVIOUS REVIEWS

Dirty rooms smelling of mould or worse. Shower screens black with mould. Made a complaint about our first room and was moved after repeated requests. It seemed that everyone you spoke to had an issue with their rooms and had moved once or repeatedly.

Reception staff rude and uninterested. I asked where to wait for shuttle bus, reception answer, I don't speak English. I asked reception can you refill the fridge in my room answer, I don't speak English. The fridge was never restocked.

Food was ok but not brilliant.
Went to the Chinese a la Carte - the beef was a very old cow and un-chewable

Bar staff were more interested in serving the Turkish guests.

My main concern was the unsafe decking leading to the lift, children's pool and rooms at high level, this was extremely dangerous. This should be looked into as a matter of urgency.

This hotel has a lot of potential, I hope that the management looks into all the issued raised and finally does something about all the complaints.

Room Tip: if you have already booked only accept a deluxe room that will save you so much disappointment and a...

Having returned this morning from a weeks stay at the Club Blue Dreams, I would recommend this hotel as it's a really nice, clean, friendly place with plenty to do.............. just as soon as you've passed check in!

We had a terrible time with the first room they gave us, up next to the busy road where the door didn't fit the frame, there was no hot water and the air conditioning leaked all night resulting in no sleep what so ever and a massive puddle on the floor. We asked to change rooms the next morning and were fobbed off around numerous reception staff who seem to have a total lack of organisation. The staff categorically stated they had no other rooms available in the hotel and that the air conditioning and water issues would be fixed. Granted, they did this after the third time of telling yet another reception staff member. Most of our first day at the hotel was taken up trying to get these issues sorted so having booked with Thomson, their helpline staff were amazing in sorting this out.

For an little extra cost we were changed into one of the deluxe rooms - so much for no other room available! Eda at Guest Services was also really helpful with this and spoke much better English than the other reception staff.

Having spoken with plenty of other English guests during the week, they pretty much all seemed to have room problems and reception staff issues. These rooms were all in the standard block too.

Get passed reception, and it's a different story. Great pools, enthusiastic and friendly animation team, kids welcomed throughout and great service from the friendly bar staff. The girls running the Kids Club were brilliant and Summer in particular was a lovely lady that clearly enjoyed being with children as much as they loved her.

The setting is beautiful, the hotel clean throughout and although the beach is a little stony, it does make for some good snorkelling for the young ones.

My top tip to have a great holiday here without any rooming issues is to go straight for a deluxe room. No disappointment, right in front of the infinity pool, lots of space and fantastic views.

Room Tip: Go deluxe for great views and no room disappointment.

Don't be fooled by the nice views and infinity pool. This place is BADLY run, the checking process is a nightmare. The staff there just don't care, very discriminating against English. The animation team, photographers and spa people constantly bother you when your trying to relax by the pool and won't take no for an answer.
Also your in the middle of nowhere, do not be fooled by the "hotel shuttle bus service" this does not exist, you have to walk up the steep drive to get the local bus (the death ride) into bodrum.
The food - weird stews and chips. For breakfast. Lunch. Dinner!
BLUE FLAG BEACH- no, rocky pebble man made beach, it be lovely in around 500 years time.

Thomson really does miss sell it how on earth it's a 5 star premier hotel I don't know. 1 star hotel if that!

Room Tip: I would recommend that you stay at a different hotel!

Our check in was at 3.00am and again, same as others, the reception staff didn't seem to know what they were doing, there was even someone at that time in the morning complaining about their room and wanted an upgrade!!
We were in the older part of the hotel which we were told was 16 years old and I am afraid that it shows.The room was tired, small and shabby, plus, we were under the wooden bridge that leads out to the lift, so we could hear everyone in the morning walking over, unfortunately they are just too basic for a 5* hotel,and for the money we paid, they should be far better quality.

The main resturant was great, always plenty of tables, food was great and the staff were helpful. We did find though, that ordering drinks took along time, so were better off getting them ourselves, or tip a waiter and then you get 5* treatment all night haha but it was good food.
The hotel overall, was great, the beach was fab, we were there most days or by the infinity pool.
They do need to change the CD round the main pool once in a while as we could only put up with listening to Dirty Dancing so many times, it did get annoying after a while.
The entertainment was great and the staff were always getting you invloved, great with kids and making sure everyone was happy.
We also went to the Red Dragon chinese in Bodram, the minibus picks you up from the hotel and drops you off, which was good. Food was amazing and the staff, GREAT!! 5*.
The shuttlebus into town was ok, you must go down to the " steep hill " by reception, to the bottom and book a time to be picked up and we got abother bus back home. Got a great deal with clothes in the shop " Grand Bazzar " and Dennis in there was just brilliant !!
There are so many little hidden places in this hotel were you can go off and get away from the crowds, its very pretty and we really did have a fantastic time, it just needs updating the old part of the hotel rooms and then it could be a really great hotel.
I would go back, but not a basic room!!

Room Tip: Do not book a basic room.
