“Great value for the money!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 August 2012

Our family of 4 stayed there in July for 6 nights. We enjoyed our stayed thoroughly. The hotel is a 3 star and was better than what we expected - room was basic but comfortable. The hotel is a bit aged and is in need of some TLC but it is a 3 star and the rating is accurate. Food is excellent - breakfast has everything you could ask and more. The Turkish dinner was awesome - doner and manti - excellent!!!. The other dinners were great too! In fact the food was very good. Being a 3 star I was not expecting the meals to be as good or the selection to be good either but was pleasantly surprised. There is entertainment everynight and activiites around the pool everyday - the pool activites are arranged by Paymon (he speaks at least 7 languages so if you need an interpreter he is the guy). The Turkish night entertainment was the best. On this night there was a stunning blond belly dancer with big tassles :) - she was great. One would think think was the best part but it wasnt - before the belly dancer were other Turksh dancing and this was something I havent seen before - the dancers blew me away.
Rooms are basic but considering you are at an all inclusive resort we only spent time in our rooms to sleep, shower and dress. Rooms were clean and there were no bugs at all. Our room faced the Ocean and is a short walk down to Ocean and pool, eating area. No in room safe would be the biggest negative but you can use the safes at the lobby.
Hotel has a main beach (it is not sandy) area which is rocky, however, it is excellent for snorkeling (lots of fish - bring bread from breakfast to feed them and attract them). We spent almost everyday at this beach snorkelling even though there is a sandy beach 200 metres away. The sandy beach is part of the hotel and has bar service there as well but we didnt go there.
Alcoholic drinks consistened of vodka, raki, beer, wine (included) but you need to pay for other alcoholic drinks.
Pool is sufficient size and very clean (closes at 7pm as dinner is served then). Lots to do around pool - Paymon will keep you busy.
Hotel staff is also excellent - Omer at front desk was amazing with all our needs and went out of his way to assist us. Volkan (manager) was also very helpful and friendly.
Recap - very pleasantly surprise as we got excellent value for the price. I would recommned this place to anyone - even with kids.

I travelled last minute with a friend who was suppose to be travelling with her partner. Having being to Turkey before and love it I was looking forward to this 2 week holiday. I had not done any research beforehand.

The room was fine, on the top floor and at the end so noise was minimal. Plenty of staff around to assist with any queries and constant entertainment from morning til night. The entertainment was very organised and child friendly which suited us and gave us time to come round from the night before :-)

The only issue we had was although we had paid for all inclusive, the bar shut at midnight and we were limited to one drink each, which for girls in our 20s was very disappointing. The hotel is very much set for families and couples who do not want to stay up in to the early hours.

The hotel is quite far away from any form of night life, although the staff did organise after hours trips to Sidari once per week, but even this was limited to going in to one bar and not venturing away from the staff who are very protective!

The hotel has a great set up with plenty of sun loungers set over various areas and is only a short walk via it's own path to the beach, which has a bar and is where the staff accomodation is located. The food wasn't very "English" but what can you expect from a hotel that doesn't specifically cater to English tourists, which is a great thing.

If you are looking for a relaxed holiday where you can stay in resort and not get hassled by the persistant locals then this hotel is great. For me personally it was a bit far away from the town centre and any action. I woul not recommend it for anybody other than families and couples.

The staff are great and can not do enough to help you despite working such long hours and every job going.

After reading reviews (mixed) we decided that it would probably be ok for a relaxing week to top up the tan. We arrived after a 3 hour transfer by coach (12,30am) to be told that we were in the "annexe" - not the main hotel. Although "quaint" and wonderfully located on the beach, it was a long walk to the main hotel for breakfast, lunch and evening meal. We are pensioners and there were a lot of steps! Also the food hardly made it worth while the effort to get there! Very repetative, turkey in one form or another - lots of salad though.Although clean as there was bedmaking each day and towel change every 3 days, the air conditioning was noisy (broken) but fixed when we complained. Drinks were available in 3 bars during day, but in main hotel bar after 6pm and therefore a long way to carry drinks to our annexe. Entertainment was on Turkish theme (make your own entertainment!) as not many English there (only 4 whilst we were there, including us. Bus service very good just outside hotel every 10-15 mins and Turgutreis town was lovely. The Sat market also great for designer gear (fake!) but good. The reception staff - all staff - were helpful although not much English. Weather fantastic and on beach so good for relaxing and dieting!! Dont think we shall go back to this hotel though.

Room Tip: nice in annexe as on beach if you dont mind the walk 3 times a day for food, and only bar available...

We visited Club Acacia in for 7 days (end of June early July) plus points location nice private beach and access to lovely boat trips and great bus service to surrounding areas. The rooms are more than basic they are a clear Health and Safety nightmare with gaps around sockets, incomplete bathrooms with lethal looking sharp metal sticking out of the bathroom walls at ankle height! Had to argue for a room without so many issues only to be charged an additional £60. Staff were lacking in basic customer service and reluctant to resolve and issues.
The food was awful! I have experienced some dodgy all inclusive buffet options before but this must be the worst slop ever served! Such classic Turkish dishes as Tandoori Turkey, Turkey chunks in bland red sauce, Turkey with peas! You can see a theme here right? Turkey the poultry not the country! I would go back to Turkey but obviously not to Club Acacia wonderful weather, beaches and restaurants (serving authentic Turkish cuisine) PS on the last day a tragic incident at the beach an elderly gentleman drowned, no life guards around just some very young staff who were clearly very upset and shaken by the experience.

Room Tip: avoid the annex

We stayed at Club Acacia for 7 nights all inclusive in July. Rooms were basic but clean, food was good with a wide variety of salad options. The hotel is right on the sea with two great private beach areas. The staff were all friendly and work very hard to maintain a high standard of service. The only negative points would be there is a very limited range of drinks with all-inclusive and the location is pretty far away from the main areas of bodrum/gumbet. Overall great value for money would definitely go back.

This unpretentious hotel offers a relaxing all inclusive holiday, good clear sea for swimming-there are several platforms with steps to ease you in the water, as it is a rocky beach-, as well as having a good size swimming pool. There are descending planted terraces with flowers and
all sorts of greenery with lots of vistas that reach the beach so not for persons in wheelchairs...
My room was in the annexe overlooking the gardens-very satisfactory, twin room for a solo traveller, there was air condition and the bathroom has only shower but very clean and tiled. Beware of the mosquitos and always shut your balcony door in the evenings/night. Food, as
mentioned by others! on this page, not very imaginative or geared to international tastes but
plentiful, buffet style with lots and lots of salads-vegetarians rejoice!- as well as hot dishes. Most of the clientelle is Turkish, Russian, Belgian and some Brits.
Try to be there on Sunday evenings as there is fiesta time with a folklore show and various
barbeques by the pool. Quite enjoyable!.
Turgutreis, a nice small resort with a Saturday market can be reached by small bus outside
the hotel but there is not much life around the hotel area, apart some sea sports a little further.
You could take boat trips and the greek island of Kos is just across the sea in front of the hotel. Staff very helpful and kind in all departments.
I had two weeks holiday there and loved it. Will go again...

Room Tip: Rooms in the annexe all the same size and with balconies can overlook either the garden or the sea...

Just returned this morning from a 7 day all inclusive after finding what we considered a cracking deal on the web and we were both pleasantly surprised. This is an honest 3* unlike many hotels that claim to be 4* & above but when you visit they never meet your expectations. It say it is a 3* and a damn good one and great value for money. The room we were allocated was clean & tidy and is what you would expect. It had a TV and air conditioning that we had to turn down it got so cold (this is a positive comment because some places claim they have air conditioining but on arrival it does not operate and/or has run out of refrigerant and boy did we need it as it averaged 85 Degrees each day and not a cloud in the sky.

I diagree with one reviewer as tea and coffee were available throughout the day you just had to know where to look. O.K the food is never going to be of a gourmet restaurant standard but there was a selection and a varied one and there was always a plentiful salad bar and on 3 nights they had a BBQ one night fish the other Chicken. The breakfast was exactly what you would find in mainland Europe cheese, meats, various cereals and of course boiled egess but also they cooked omelettes and pancakes. That's a pretty good selection as far as we are concerned and as for the other meals they were O.K but you cannot keep everybody happy all of the time.
They have a restaurant upstairs that is not exactly part of the hotel but you get a small discount and it's a paid for table service but in my opinion it was not worth the money you would be better off catching the bus outside and there's one every 10 minutes max and in 15 minutes you are in the town centre with lenty of places to chose from and much cheaper.

We both loved the idea of having the wine on tap and whilst we are both fussy it was pretty drinkable and you simply served yourself from the taps at the bar much better than having to wait at peak meal times.

On a final note they keep this place really clean and all the staff are helpful and polite. O.K there are always going to be someone making a fuss because some of the silicone around the shower has gone off colour or something else is not quite perfect but overall we found
Acacia to be excellent value for money and we have stayed in higher rated hotels that were nowhere near as good as this.

Room Tip: Whilst we did not have one the rooms facing the sea are the best for views and privacy.
