“Became the 2nd best sea in Turkey for me.”
Reviewed 19 July 2012

I've visited Xanadu Belek, Antalya for several times. And waiting the opening of here for a long time. As I have raised my expectations too high, I have to confess that I'm expecting more luxurious atmosphere.

Pro's: As it's established on an island, it's very spacious. You feel yourself relaxed. The quality of sea was so great which is very important for me. The salt ratio, warmth, cleanless above high class. Although it's always windy, they have established two separate bays where there are no waves. You can find always find cold beverages in all shore-sites. Rooms are so great and so clean. The animation team was great. Also at most nights, there is live music where I saw a famous musician also. They have created a running road through the hotel area. The pool has an amazing view. It seems that it's connected to sea. Also they have a good SPA facility where I adored in their other hotel too. You have to visit SPA center and have a massage.

Con's: The number of food choices are not so rich nor not so poor, it is average. But I expected much more choices especially if you have a kid. The number of waiters at meal area was too low, so although they worked very hard, they could hardly respond to us.

Overall, I'm very satisfied and willing to go again.

my wife and i stayed there last week for our vacation. This hotel was amazing, the view, service, pool area, rooms, beach...everything was perfect, only disadvantage is the hotel is far away from city and the hotel does not have a free shuttle service. Apart from that, I strongly recommend this hotel to whom seeking a perfect vacation, but it takes time to get back to the real life when the vacation is over.

From the moment my husband and I arrived we were treated as you would expect but doesn't often happen. We could not fault anything to do with the hotel or location and are looking to return again next year with our sons and their girlfriends for 2 weeks instead of 11 nights - can't wait.

Just come back from week here. The hotel is fantastic. We stayed in a standard room but it was great - large space and furnished to high standard.
For sure we will return to this hotel.
The rooms were beautiful and furnished to a very high standard. Extremely clean and well equipped. There was a mini bar, which was restocked on a daily basis.
This is a quality hotel and the standard of service is extremely high at all levels.
The food was amazing from hot, salads, barbecued.

We stayed here for 11 nights at the end of may. The hotel is great with views of Kos on one side. We traveled as a party 3 2 adults and a 8 year old. The food and service is fantastic they would cook your food to order in the bars up till 5.30 and come round your sun lounger taking drink orders. Had a trip out to local market on the Saturday which was great loads of fakes. Entertainment at nite was hit and miss. My only negative was that you had to be 12 years old for bowling and not much for kids to do apart from that great hotel great bar staff. Would go back but going to try voyage belek next may cause more things for kids to do overall 10/10

We were recommended this hotel by a family member and booked the holiday through Thomas Cook. We arrived to the hotel at about 1am and were greeted by a very pleasant member of staff who, when I asked if we could have rooms next to our older children, went one step further and offered us a suite so that we could be together. I'll break this review into sections
Accommodation
The rooms were beautiful and furnished to a very high standard. Extremely clean and well equipped. There was a mini bar, which was restocked on a daily basis. Plenty of storage space and a safe. The beds were really comfortable and we slept really well all week. The air conditioning was really effective too. We had sea views and it was lovely waking each day to a blue sky and the nearby Island of Kos. Lovely!
Food & Drinks
Breakfast runs until 11am, which was great as it meant we could have a lie in on our first day. Whilst the food wasn't as good as the Hillside Beach Club it was okay. Again, the service in all the eating areas was excellent. Food was available at all times during the day and late in to the evening. The staff really could not do enough for us and really made us feel indulged. If they saw an empty glass they immediately asked if we wanted a refill. At the poolside we were constantly asked if we wanted a drink and nothing seemed like too much trouble. Drinks are branded.
Poolside
There was lots of availability re beds and we never had a sense that we had to get up at the crack of dawn in order to have somewhere to sunbathe. There were lots of areas around the island to sunbathe and every location had a fridge with cold drinks if needed. Beds were comfortable and had their own canopy so useful if you needed to get out of the sun for a while. All very civilised
Spa
The spa was gorgeous although we only used it for a Turkish bath for our daughter. She felt she'd been cleaned to within an inch of her life. Again all to a very high standard
Entertainment
This is not a place for 16-18 year olds. Very little for them to do and I doubt we'd bring them here again. This is also the first time we've been on holiday and not spoken to anyone apart from the family. There isn't really a sense of pulling everyone together so if we returned it would have to be with friends. A trip to Hillside beach club (Fetiye) would be good for the hotel management and entertainment team to see how they do it. Might be an idea! (Sorry, its our barometer - we've been there 6 times and its really very good so will go back in October) Having said that the entertainments team were nice people, but our impression was that we were not sure they were really committed to getting everyone together!
Location
It’s a good 1-hour drive to Bodrum centre. £60 return trip in a taxi. We thought that was quite good value and they do wait until you've finished shopping. We liked the fact that we were far from the main town, not sure the kids were that happy about it though!! Go to Deniz Bags if you want a really good replica!
Reception, Client Services and housekeeping
Excellent, excellent. If we needed anything we knew they would respond and with a smile. Very professional at all times. We wanted an extension on our room check out as were on a midnight flight back to the UK and were charged an extra £90, which we were happy to pay as it meant we could leave the pool late, get showered and finish packing at our leisure. My daughter forgot a new bag she'd purchased in Bodrum (she’d checked out of her room earlier in the day). When she realised it was missing it was immediately returned as house keeping had held it over for us, so no question of dishonesty which was nice to know.
Overall
This is a quality hotel and the standard of service is extremely high at all levels. We aren't a particularly demanding family, but we know good service when we receive it and we appreciate it. However, it did lack the fun element of Hillside so it would not be our first choice if we wanted that type of holiday in the future.
Highly recommended though!

Stayed for one week in May at Xanadu Island and will definitely return. The hotel is extremely spacious and comfortable, the staff are charming and helpful and the Turkish food simply delicious. Our room, like all the rooms, had a superb view over the sea and the swimming pool.

A round-trip ride on the dolmus to Bodrum took about 45 minutes and cost 22 TL for two people. That was the only day it rained! The Turgutreis market on a Saturday is worth a visit for the colour and the fakes ;-)

Room Tip: Rooms above the bar can be a little noisy, if like us, you sleep with the windows open.
