We stayed for 2 weeks in August. On Arrival staff were very friendly, and were for our whole stay. The apartments were falling apart, and were in desperate need of a total update. The kitchen doors were hanging off, the fridge was rusty and the towels and bedding had seen better days. The cleanliness was not great either, the cleaner came in daily, but not sure what she did!!
We asked to swap roooms, which to be fair was not a problem. We checked out 4 other available rooms and they were all the same as the one we were in.
As i said before the staff were lovely, and Serkan the massuer was fantastic, we went twice and both times came out totally relaxed.
The pool area was nice, but again a little tired. We ate lunch and breakfast a couple of times, and this was all ok.
The resort was great, plenty of bars and restaraunts, including many just off the beaten track where a lot of locals eat. We never had a bad meal and chose a different place nearly every night.
We went to Gumsluk one evening to try one of the many superb seafood restaraunts, this place was beautiful in the evening, seating right on the sea front. Just beware some of these restauraunts are very, very expensive. Choose your fresh fish, get them to weigh it and get a price from them, to save any confusion.
I would probably go back, but certainly not back to Club Cherrry.
They say you get what you pay for, and I agree, but cleanliness is not exclusive to 4 and 5 star places. We expected basic and clean, not dirty and falling apart.

Yes the apartments were basic. "Ali" cleaned our rooms every day. Bedding was changed twice during our one week stay. The staff were a bit overly attentive to start with, however, once POLITELY told that we wanted a quiet holiday, they were great. Talk to the staff, not at them. Their understanding and use of the english language is very good, and they appeared keen to learn more. They also understand that not all British women are there to grab themselves a Turkish man!

At the nearby market (leave the apartments, turn right and you're there) some holidaymakers were so rude to the locals. I can understand why they get so hacked off or defensive.

Bar prices were expensive - one bacardi was 10TL. Draught beer was much cheaper than bottled. Food was well prepared and reasonably priced.

As for the loud music, it was more repetitive than loud. There were lengthy periods throughout the day when there was no music at all.

I would NOT recommend this place for children although there is a small play area, the swimming pool does not have a "shallow" end. The pool in itself was clean and appeared well maintained.

After buying pasta, bread, and some locally produced fruit and veg, we cooked a few meals in our apartment on the two ring cooker top. Delicious. Our kettle worked just fine. There was adequate cutlery and crockery. If anything was missing, just ask the staff.

We spent a few nights on our balcony, the staff would stop for a chat in the passing but generally left us alone.
The karaoke night was a good laugh; bringing alot of the other holidaymakers together and got us chatting.

We only left the apartments to stock up on food and go to the local market. We ate out only once in Nazar's restaurant which is next to Ozzy's bar. Food was delicious. Staff were very polite and helpful.

My friend and I intend to return to the Club Cherry Apartments for another quiet holiday in 2011. Bliss.

This was our 3rd stay at The Cherry, last time was 2004 and my what a change. The rooms had been improved and next year the kitchen I was told was next for improvement but the gardens were shabby. Unfortunately the cleaners weren't the best and I bought my own cleaning agents especially bleach. There were 8 of us and none of us would return, the staff did try to be friendly but not many people stayed around at night, they all went into town, which we all loved. The location is good, the pool is good but not much chance of a bed around the pool unless you are up really early. It was a cheap holiday so won't complain too much, you do get what you pay for i suppose.

Just back from Club Cherry. It,s very basic but it is cheap so if you want 5 star you have to pay for it. When we arrived our room was right next to the bar so asked to be moved and got another room straight away, no problem. The bed was'nt very comfortable but apartments ok. We were out most of the time but if you just want a base this is perfect. The staff were friendly and no hassle. The location was perfect for us, not far from the beach and resort centre and bus station just down the road. The bus service is excellant and reasonable. We ate out every day food was excellant espiecially Friends restaurant owned by an english lady ( Jean) and her husband ( Emmy) definately recommend also Cod father for the best fish and chip I've had in ages.We really loved Turgetries and the Turkish people but I would recommend getting out and about to places like Bodrum and Gumsluk also Kara Inga beach, On the whole we had a brillant time and will definately go back.

Our first time to turkey and unfortunatley the last. due to this accomodation.and resort. I have stayed in basic accomodation in greece but never as dirty . the apartments are supposed to cater for 4 persons we had 2 plates,2 spoons.1 knife ,2 forks no pans.and a hob that should have been condemned 2 lots of insulation tape aound the electric wire. .Beware the friendly bar staff they only want your money !!! most people in the complex went out on an evening. The cleaning leaves a lot to be desired we had sand in the corner of our shower for 2 weeks The best thing about this holiday was coming back home

I travelled here with my family in August 2010 for a two weeks self catering holiday and arrived in the small hours of Saturday mornining. We were unable to get close to the hotel by the coach as all the vans from what we later found out was the Saturday market were parked up blocking the roads. We were shown to the room that we were ment to be staying in for two weeks by the hotel staff. The room was not clean the sheets/beds were stained and damp, the fridge was rusty and dirty the work tops were chipped, there was mould on the walls and the smoke alarm kept beeping for some reason. The next morning they moved us to a new room which was not much better. The cleaning staff are no good, so we bought our own cleaning products and cleaned the room ourselves the whole time we were there. We had bugs in the fridge so we could not leave food in it and had to eat out the whole time. The music around the pool was very loud and in your face. Sams bar staff kept coming round throughout the day trying to sell tickets for that nights events (Which I had already been told were not very good by other guests). Outside the hotel in the local town all the shops wanted to do was sell you fake clothes and if you try to walk away without buying first they say things in Turkish. If you are female and try walk down the roads be ready for the men. I would never go back to this hotel nor would I go to this part of Turkey ever again. This was not just my experience but that of most of the guest I spoke too around the pool.
