Yasmin Resort Bodrum
Ranked #4 of 53 Hotels in Turgutreis
Reviewed 26 June 2014 via mobile

I just came back from Yasmin resort with family, we spent 6 nights in there.
pros:
1- If you booked for a 'real' see view room you will be very happy with scenery, relaxing sea views. I said 'real' because we booked a main building sea view rooms and we ended up with a garden\half sea view which we asked the reception to change, things done and we got two rooms next to each other 2113/2114 with amazing sea view in the first floor and with easy access.
2- The restaurant service is good but don't wait for someone to ask you what would you like to drink, Alibey is really outstanding in this regard, you either get it yourself or ask the waiter and be cool if someone forgot your request.
3- Staff are hard working and friendly.
4- The cleaning is good with changing towels daily or whenever put on floor.
5- The guest relation staff are effective.
6- the sea is very good for swimming.
7- Good air conditionning in the room.

Cons:
1- Club rooms are on a steep hill, thank God I ordered my room on the main building.
2- Not a five stars, no one to welcome you to your table or ask you what you would like to drink or to offer you a cold drink on your arrival, no cookies offered in your room.
3- The lounge is kind of looking tired.
4- No ice cream brands offered, only the poor quality home made one.
5- tobogans are very boring, not speedy.

Yasmin Bodrum Resort is a great place for relaxing holliday! We stayed 1 week with my husband and had a great time there. We really like the sea view, the food, the beach(not a lot of sand, but clean water) and especially the ANIMATION TEAM!Great job guys!!!There was a different show every evening,a disco club, and a live music! We had a dinner at the Ocean Restourant and we received a very good service of the waiter - Ahmed-nice guy!
The only part of the hotel wich we didn't like was the changing room in the spa center! It must be renovated and cleaned more often!
Thank's to all the stuff of the Resort for the comfort and everything!

Room Tip: Higher Mindos Rooms are more quiet and the view is better.

This hotel is amazing. Food is of good quality. Rooms spacious. Cleaned very well. Service brilliant. Only flaw is the evening animation is in turkish or Russian. And location at the bottom of a Hill is a nawse.Nevertheless brilliant.

Just returned from 15 days of Yasmin Resort. It was a perfect holiday, nice and relaxing...
I enjoyed every moment. We stayed for 15 days at the hotel together with my husband and my 5 years old son.
Pls ignore all the negative comments, this resort is truly nice. Food is good, especially Italian and Fish restaurants...
We returned back to Belgium on Saturday evening 21/06.

Myself and my mum recently got back from staying at the Yasmin resort in Turkey. It was booked as a surprise birthday present for me, as I've never been to Turkey and it was my 21st!

Everything that could have possibly been wrong, went wrong whilst we were staying. The staff were rude, especially at the 24hour bar, (drinks chucked at you) and thats even if they would serve you.

My mum was poorly with food poisoning about half way through the week, and I know about 4 or 5 others in the hotel was ill with the same thing at the same time, not a coincidence!

The room stank of raw sewerage the whole week, and we asked the hotel on a couple of occasions to clean it but nothing was done. The rep wasn't there for 4 of the days so wasn't much help!

The italian restaurant on site, DOES NOT serve vegetarian food, and basically let me sit there with no food in front of me. I have never heard of this before, do not go there.

Mosquitos in the room was unbelievable, there was so many of them. Every day before we would go to sleep we would have to kill them all. This happened every day, several times I got bitten in the night. The room wasn't very clean either lots of dust around, not good if your asthmatic. We booked a sea view room and ended up on the ground floor with lots of bushes outside, could only see the sea if you walked out of the balcony doors and across the grass. Others in the hotel was moving rooms, and was being made to sign something to say they wouldn't move again. We didn't bother asking seeing though reception took no notice of our asking anyway.

Noisy neighbours throughout the whole stay, they would come in between 02:45am and 03:30am and have a party! We tried to contact reception but there was no answer and even tried to knock on the wall to ask them to be quiet, we just got shouted abuse back at us.

The list goes on, the only good part about this was the pool, the pool boys keep it very clean and they should be recognised for this. But the rest of the hotel is just unbelievable, I will not be returning to this hotel. I have also sent off a complaint to first choice in the middle of last week and still haven't heard anything back! Not good customer service at all!!!!

My partner and I have just returned home from a week's stay at the Yamsin Resort in Bodrum. First impression of the hotel was that the reception area is beautiful and the staff very helpful and friendly. We arrived at about 1am and we were helped with our luggage and taken up to our room on one of the golf buggy's. We walked some days and got a buggy some days, it was quite a steep hill but not too bad!

While there we used both pool areas and went to the beach, all were exceptionally clean and maintained to a high standard. Always plenty of sun beds. Activity pool was good fun, lots going on and music playing and as suggested relaxing pool was lovely to chill at. My partner also used the slides but only once. We used the spa and had treatments (turkish bath, foam, coffee peeling, massage, jacuzzi and face mask) on our second day, thoroughly enjoyed this experience and so cheap compared to massages here in England! Only negative would be that some areas of the spa, eg. showers weren't very clean but this didn't affect our lovely experience. Staff who did our treatments were very friendly.

All inclusive buffet was fabulous, lots to choose from, always plenty of food and was yummy! I especially enjoyed the wide variety of fresh breads and the freshly made pittas. Both my partner and I loved the made-to-order omelettes at breakfast! We also snacked at the snack bar a few times and this was good too. We went to both the Turkish and Italian restaurants and enjoyed both; my favourite was the Turkish it was delicious!

Our room was plenty spacious, very clean, and had lovely views from the balcony. Mini bar was included in the all inclusive and re-stocked daily, fresh towels daily, beds made, etc, always left immaculate by the staff.

The variety of drinks available was very good for an all inclusive, we especially enjoyed the cocktails!

Evening entertainment wasn't great although we did enjoy the Turkish night on the Saturday, would have been good to see more variety.

Yes the resort is in the middle of nowhere but this was clear to us when we booked, and we stayed at the resort anyway as there is plenty to do. If you do want to go out and about there is good public transport you can use.

Overall a fabulous, relaxing holiday and would recommend to others.

We have just returned from a week at the Yasmin . Well for us it was perfect , a nice relaxing break . Check in was swift and we were taken to our room 1530 which was at the top of the hill. The porter took is in a golf buggy however we walked most days for some exercise . View from the room was amazing . Rooms were very clean, minibar filled daily and very quiet . No problem getting a sunbed even in the middle of the day , in fact we were in the minority for putting our towels down at 9am! Food was plentiful and something to suit all . Bread and filled pitta were gorgeous . Other nationalities were rude in dining room and filled plates and bags with food ! Why when it's all included ?! Was nice to sit out on the terrace for lunch . Only downside was the drink service as you had to get your own .

Entertainment at night was hit and miss. Circus act was the best .

Turkish restaurant was amazing ... Do not eat all day as there is so much food . Italian again was amazing .

Pool areas and beach all immaculately clean . Cleaners were constantly going.
Drink service at the bar was ok , nice to drink out of real glass on holiday and not plastic . Staff have little English but you are in a foreign country . We got by with pointing and rewording things !

Whilst we were there some English guests were complaining about the hotel . Saying it was in the middle if nowhere and you can't walk anywhere ... It does warn you about this in the brochure . Others moaned about the staff not speaking English... You are in another country and we found these fellow English guests to be quite embarrassing . Kelly the rep was fantastic and very professional .

Whilst we were there there was a kids basketball tournament . This was also complained about . However , we thought they were well behaved . They were let in the pools 15 minutes at lunch then again late afternoon . The teachers took control of them and it didn't bother us .

Be careful round the pool area as it got very slippy .

We both had a massage which was lovely , however the price was in Euros and this is the currency they prefer . We only took Turkish Pounds.

Be warned Bodrum airport is very expensive . You aren't allowed to take food and drink through security . We bought one sandwich , one drink and cost us £13! Plus online check in was pointless as we queued for over an hour to drop our bags !

Overall a lovely, relaxing break .
