Grand Park Bodrum
Ranked #13 of 53 Hotels in Turgutreis
Reviewed 16 April 2014

We visited this hotel from 7th - 14th April and loved it!
The hotel and rooms were immaculately clean with bedding changed every other day and clean towels each day. The reception area and restaurant were lovely and clean and had a nice atmosphere (with the exception of a British family who sat in reception with faces like bulldogs for the whole week and did nothing but moan and complain).
The resort was very quiet at this time of year, although a 20 minute walk in to Turgutreis provided plenty of bars, restaurants and shops. I get the impression that we traveled a little early in the season so a lot of places were still closed (we wanted quiet though so that was OK by us).
Staff were lovely and friendly and would do anything to help - the Spa staff (Faruk & Sida) convinced us to try some of the spa treatments and these were all brilliant - not part of the All Inclusive - buy well worth treating yourself to.
Hotel entertainment was a bit naff - but again I think this was because we traveled out of season - there is a Disco bar open from 11:30pm which is OK.
I see a review about the hotel being full of Belgian students - this was true and they really were loud and rowdy after the all Inclusive booze - but the Hotel staff did all they could do to control them - even removing their all inclusive wrist bands so they could not drink - they also carted them all off to a club to get them out of the hotel - best they could probably do really.
Food is good - not amazing - but a good choice each meal time and in the week we were there no dish was repeated. Great salad bar and loads of soups and fresh breads. Mains all a little greasy for me (they go overboard with Olive Oil in everything) but that is just the Turkish style and not my cup of tea. It is all beautifully presented though.
All in all - I would recommend it and would certainly visit again!

Room Tip: Don't ask for a quiet room (we did) they are in the shade of the hotel and have very small balco...

Dear Guest,

We would like to inform you with proud that the hotel has been taken over by the Grand Park Hotels which are part of the Corendon Hotels & Resorts Group.

Meanwhile, we are working hard to restore and renew the accommodation. In addition, the staff is prepped with customer care and service trainings which will be proceeded throughout the whole winter so we can start the season with a complete different Grand Park- approach.

Our aim is to be the place where everyone feels at home and therefore we are highly appreciating that you shared your experiences. This ensures that we can optimize our product and service quality.

Our doors will be opened in the summer season of 2017 and perhaps we can convince you to welcome you in our new hotel.

Sincerely,

Grand Park Bodrum

We booked a weeks holiday at the yelken at the beginning of April. We were impressed when we arrived at 12.30am that the bar was open and etam the barman was really welcoming and friendly.
The rooms
The room was spotlessly clean and well decorated and cleaned every day, even if you say no to housekeeping they come back later and make the bed, change the towels etc. the mini bar is FREE and stocked up with water, fanta and coke everyday.
The food
If I'm honest, the good was good and you could always fun something to eat. The soups were really tasty and the bread was always fresh. There is a few chefs constantly on the grill cooking fresh food. At breakfast he makes fresh pancakes or omelettes.
The drinks
The drinks are pretty standard for all inclusive but we were surprised that they actually did whiskey (not many Turkish all inclusives do) they have a cocktail menu to choose from (an a non alcoholic cocktail menu)
The staff
The staff are so friendly and so helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. There was a group of English people who CONSTANTLY complained and guest relations tried to do everything they could to help but you just can't help some people! My mother in law had a problem with her hot water and they upgraded her straight away! I have nothing but nice things to say about all of the staff.
Cleanliness
The hotel was cleaned daily and was always spotless from top to bottom.
Location
The location was a bit of an issue if you like to venture out of the hotel. The shuttle service is on site which will cost but it's good. The dolmus stops at the top of the street (about a 10 min walk) and will take you into turgutreis and from there you can get a dolmus to bodrum. Just up the street there was a salon that done hair, nails, shaves etc and my mother in law had a manicure which she loved for £3!!
Overall
I would definitely return to this hotel. It was clean and friendly and certainly delivered everything I look for in a break away

Where do I start firstly this is not a 24 hour all inclusive if you have family because after 11pm you have to go down stairs to disco bar to get your drinks but you can't take kids in because even though it's a non smoking area the big group of Belgium students are down in disco bar smoking cigs and also hash hash in there you can smell it soon has the door is opened so you can't go to disco bar with kids for drinks and on fact you wouldn't even won't to go down there the group of students ate put of control there team leaders are same age has students they are so bad women sat in men's toilets men sat in women's toilets it's out of control here the hotel is in a village so you have nothing around dolmas is 13 lire for 4 people taxi is 26 lira to town I meriting this review now wilst still on holiday because I know the management will reply to this saying they have probably sorted the problem so let's see ill do follow up but otherwise staff are nice we are on room 4407 going home Friday will follow up to see if management listens

I visited this hotel from October 06th - October 20th with my family.
This hotel is great for all inclusive and it is a good choice for the vacation if you travel with 2 kids (4 and 2).
Staff is helpful, short way to Turgutreis by shuttle service. There were not many restaurants but the foods, fruits and vegetables were so fresh and different dishes everyday.
We did use spa services and it was perfect.
Definitely will go back and recommend to friends.

Had a lovely time at this hotel. Nice big room which was cleaned daily with fresh towels daily and bed change every 2 days.
Food was nice, although a little repetative, but there was a great choice of salads, hot food, grills and fabulous desserts.
The pool areas were beautiful although the beach was pebbly, but there was a good choice of areas to sunbathe.
The staff did their best and as it was getting near the end of season some of them were realy tired but you still got good service. The dining staff went out of their way to help you and we found the guys in the bar at the beach lovely as well.
Animation was acceptable if you like that sort of thing! But they did do yoga and aerobics which was nice and they were a lovely bunch of people.
I had a massage and it was one of the best I've had.
Overall we had a lovely holiday and great value in a beautiful setting.

Room Tip: Air con is not great so ask for a room that you can leave the balcony door open!

Had 10 nights in this hotel and a really relaxing time. Room was a great size for 2 people with a huge bed, nice bathroom and was clean. Towels changed daily and sheets every couple of days. Air con was rubbish as centrally controlled but we left our balcony door open and had a lovely breeze.
Beautiful pool areas and were kept spotlessly clean, lots of places to sunbathe with a huge decking area built out to the sea and 2 quiet pools plus the main pool area. All with views to die for.
Never had an issue with any of the staff and were treated very well, sometimes you need to make an effort!
Food was always good with loads of choice and the wine was good, much better than I've had in other AI hotels. This is a big hotel and they need to cater to lots of tastes. You will not go hungry! The Turkish night on a Sunday was excellent.
I would say it was a 4 star in Turkish standards, but we had a fab time.
Animation was ok, the guys tried hard and again have to cater to lots of different tastes and age groups.
Had a terrific massage and facial and the spa staff were excellent.
We went on the boat trip and had a wonderful day, they make you so welcome.
Very mixed crowd in the hotel and we met some lovely Scottish, Polish, Turkish and Dutch people.
Overall we had a lovely holiday and would return to the hotel if they get their air con sorted!

Room Tip: The sea and pool views are stunning especially as the sun is setting.

Think twice if you choose this hotel for your holiday! It is located in a remote area, very far from Bodrum city and it is quite hard to arrange any transport. The staff is rude or just not interested in their job. Most of them barely speak english. Rooms are dirty, furniture is old and there are no blankets at all. The beach is also very dirty - the sand hasn't been cleaned for ages and there are homeless dogs running around. The food is the same every day and if you need to wake up early, you can't find anything but bread before 8 o'clock in the morning. Me and my friend have never seen such an awful hotel and we left it very disappointed.

Room Tip: Just choose another hotel and as close to Bodrum city as possible
